Call for donations sign on the door of Cinder BBQ
Sign on the door of Cinder BBQ that reads: 'At Cinder, we're doing everything we can to keep as many people employed as possible - both within our restaurant and in the industry's supply chain. That's why, instead of gift cards, we're going to start taking donations at Cinder. Why? 1. We will use the funds to make food NOW to feed laid off hospitality workers in the community. We are partnering with Hook Hall (link or handle) in Park View to get prepared meals to affected people. At the end of each week we will total up donations received and get food prepped for the following week to drop off at Hook. 2. Making food NOW means we are ordering food / getting delivers NOW. This isn't the case with gift cards, which customers cash in at a later date. Ordering food now keeps suppliers employed. Our main meats supplier had 11 drivers just last week. Now they are down to 3./ Want to help? Here's how to make a donation: Call us at 202-450-6795 Leave a donation when you come by to pick up your order (800 Upshur St NW)./ The only way we'll get through this is together. Thanks for helping the Cinder family do our part.
