Get PDFTra i fattori determinanti la situazione di vita dell’anziano, la famiglia gioca tuttora un ruolo cruciale, anche se da tempo i sociologi hanno denunciato la scomparsa della famiglia estesa e multigenerazionale nei suoi membri, parlando al contrario di “famiglia nucleare” per gli effetti della industrializzazione e della modernizzazione. Pur nell’attuale clima di post-modernità e di frammentazione, la famiglia dimostra anche oggi la sua validità, capace di resistere agli attacchi sempre più massicci di chi ne preannuncia il declino o l’irrilevanza. Ad essa infatti va riconosciuto di essere lo specifico “luogo sociale”, che promuove una particolare circolazione di beni e di relazioni interpersonali che sono costruttrici di alleanze tra i sessi e di solidarietà tra le generazioni . In questa prospettiva la famiglia continua ad essere una preziosa risorsa della società , e si conferma tale anche in quanto relazione che può produrre valori, processi di sviluppo, allargamento di reti sociali, ricchezza per i singoli membri, per il gruppo familiare nel suo insieme e per la società, in termini materiali, psicologici, sociali e culturali

Alcune riflessioni sulla teologia e il suo metodo secondo i recenti documenti della Chiesa
Get PDFSummary: What is theology? The author wishes to offer some elements of response to this question on the basis of recent Church documents. He begins by analysing the definition: ‘Theology is the scientific reflection upon divine revelation, which the Church accepts as universal salvific truth by way of the faith’ (CTI: Theology today). He proceeds by reviewing different key aspects of theology: the centrality of the mystery of Christ, who acts even today in the Church (Optatam totius). The written Word of God as foundation and soul of theology, as well as sacred Tradition (Dei Verbum). The two inseparable dimensions of doing theology: the auditus fidei and the intellectus fidei (Fides et ratio). The Magisterium, the authoritative custodian of the Church’s faith, as an intrinsic element of theology (Donum veritatis). The humble task of guarding and of deepening the faith of the simple (Lumen fidei). Finally, the author puts forward some of the tasks facing theology today: Attention to the rationality of theology, openness to, and constant exchange with, the world, the unity of theology within the plurality of its methods and of its disciplines, theology of ‘wisdom’, connected once more to spiritual wisdom and to the experience of the saints.

It goes into the distinction between God’s will understood as assent, and God’s will understood as sign, a distinction that offers an explanation for many difficult passages in the Bible. Peter Lombard well understands
the scope of the problem, and for this reason he is on the threshold, as it were, of the explanations offered by the great authors that follow him, but he does not cross it. This tendency can clearly be seen when he discusses the problem of the conformity of human will with God’s will.
