No full textFrom 2014 until present, housing prices in Germany have been rising faster than
consumer prices in all quarters except one, raising concerns about an excessive over-
heating of the housing market. To assess the vulnerability of the German housing
market to a future realignment of prices or even a housing bust, this paper devel-
ops a housing price misalignment indicator that is composed of seven indicators,
which are commonly associated with the fundamental value of residential property.
An empirical application to the most recent data suggests that the German housing
market exhibits an overvaluation of approximately 11%, where interest rate risk and a relatively advanced stage of the housing cycle are identified as the main factors
fueling these imbalances, while a rather solid debt-servicing capacity mitigates these imbalances since end-2009
Viewers' perception of elements used in game live-streams
No full textGame live-streaming is a phenomenon attracting many people. A general analysis of which elements viewers in this context find interesting is important for platform vendors to inform future concepts, for content creators to better integrate their audience and for researchers to identify opportunities for future research. However, to our knowledge, this has not yet been done systematically. This paper contributes by presenting results of an online questionnaire (n=417) in which viewers' opinions on 58 elements (features, concepts and streamers' behaviors) were collected. We present the elements and a viewer's ranking of them. We also contribute aspects that are of relevance for the live-streaming context: among others, that many of the top-rated elements have an interactive component attached to them and that viewer integration is something that is appreciated by active and passive viewers alike, as long as it does not interfere with the streamer's performance unconditionally
