Transition of Goldfish Aquaculture Techniques: Focus on Yamato-Koriyama City, Nara Prefecture
Get PDFapplication/pdfこれまで民俗学において養殖業は漁撈に比べて扱われる機会が少なかった。そこで、本稿は内水面養殖の一例として、奈良県大和郡山市で行われる金魚養殖を対象とした。明治期から現在に至るまでの金魚の養殖業の中で変化してきた技法について明らかにする。大和郡山は全国有数の金魚の産地で、ため池を利用したワキン（和金）の大量生産が中心となっている。そこで、本研究では、文献資料と古老からの聞き取りから得られた情報をもとに双方の比較を行い、技法の変化の内容と要因を明らかにした。
本稿では、産卵藻、初期餌料の確保、金魚の養成、運搬方法に着目した。まず、産卵藻についてはその原料である柳の根が高度経済成長期の河川改修の増加によって入手が困難になった。そして、周辺山地に自生するヒカゲノカズラというシダ植物へと代替していった。初期餌料の確保にはかつては赤子すくい（ミジンコ捕り）という方法が用いられていた。また、金魚の養成では「ヨリコ」（選り子）さんと呼ばれる女性たちによる選別作業は現在見られなくなってしまった。運搬方法は重ね桶から酸素詰めのビニール袋へと変化してきた。
これらの変化の大きな外的要因は3点挙げられる。まず、大和郡山の都市化による環境の変化は柳の根からヒカゲノカズラへと産卵藻の原料の変化をもたらした。次に、近代化による技術の発達は運搬方法を変化させた。そして、生産品種の転換によるコスト削減（人件費削減）によって赤子すくいやヨリコさんの選別作業は見られなくなった。このように、様々な要因によって大和郡山の金魚養殖に関する技法は変化してきたといえよう。
Studies on aquaculture have not been conducted frequently in the field of folklore in comparison to fishing. This paper reports on the transition of aquaculture techniques from the Meiji era to the present, focusing on goldfish aquaculture in Yamato-Koriyama City, Nara Prefecture, one of the leading goldfish farming areas of Japan. In Yamato-Koriyama, the business is mainly mass production of a goldfish breed called wakin using irrigation ponds. This study compares the differences between past and current techniques based on written materials and information obtained from interviews with local elders and clarifies the details of technical changes and their causes.
This paper focuses on spawning grass, the procurance of initial feed, goldfish raising, and transportation methods. First, increased river improvement during the period of high economic growth made it difficult to collect willow root, which is the material used for spawning grass. Willow root was replaced by a fern plant called Hikagenokazura, which grows naturally in the surrounding mountains. Next, the initial feed for goldfish was provided by capturing Daphnia pulex, which lives in irrigation ponds, using a scooping method called Akako-sukui. In recent years, sorting work by women called Yoriko is no longer available in local goldfish farming. Finally, the transportation method has changed from using stacking tubs called kasane-oke to water and oxygen-filled plastic bags.
There are three major external factors relating to these changes. The first factor is the urbanization of Yamato-Koriyama, which caused environmental changes resulting in the replacement of the material used for spawning grass from willow root to Hikagenokazura. The second factor is modernization, which facilitated the development of technology and transformed the means of goldfish transportation. The third factor is cost reduction due to changes in farmed goldfish varieties, which caused Akako-sukui and sorting work to disappear. The Dream of Kantan and the Image of Tojin
Get PDFapplication/pdf唐代伝奇『枕中記』が源泉となる有名な「邯鄲の夢」の故事は、『太平記』（流布本）巻二十五「自伊勢進宝剣事付黄梁夢事」、謡曲『邯鄲』での改変を経て、近世では重要な趣向としてよく生かされ、数多くの戯作に影響を及ぼした。黄表紙の嚆矢として高く評価される『金々先生栄花夢』はまさしくこの趣向をとったものである。
本稿で扱う黒本『初夢かんたんの枕』は『金々先生栄花夢』に先行し、異国を舞台とする近松門左衛門の浄瑠璃及び唐人行列にかかわるものなどを積極的に取り入れることで、異国情緒ある「唐人の邯鄲の夢」が巧みに表現された。本稿では作品の刊年を改めて確認しつつ、本文の典拠を明らかにした上で、黒本『初夢』から「邯鄲の夢」の故事の受容を考察し、そしてそこで表現される江戸時代の対「異国」観や、そのイメージの変容を明らかにすることを目的とする。
黒本『初夢かんたんの枕』の刊年について、『朝倉年表』『山崎年表』ともに年代未詳とする。本稿では、先行研究を踏まえながら、黒・青本の絵師の連名や、作中の文句に見られる関連情報を参考することで、宝暦五（一七七五）年正月の刊行という新説をあげた。
本文の典拠を明らかにすることにより、黒本『初夢かんたんの枕』では謡曲『邯鄲』の詞章を多く利用すること、『太平記』黄粱夢事の筋を用いること、浄瑠璃「国性爺合戦」「大職冠」の詞章を持ち込むことで謡曲『邯鄲』『太平記』黄粱夢事と類似する人物や筋を重ね合わせ、機知的に物語を展開させること等が判明した。
また、挿絵やそれにともなう地の文やセリフを考察することにより、黒本『初夢かんたんの枕』では朝鮮通信使の影響を受けて形成した舞台やパレードを生かし、大きな唐人の夢の世界を創ったことと、歌舞伎や浄瑠璃、流行唄と当時の風俗に基づく地口、茶化しなどを通じて、作者が朝鮮通信使にかかわるものを借りて、「ウチ・日本」と対置される唐人のことを戯れること等が確認された。
The famous story of Kantan’s Dream, which originates from the Chuanqi “The World Inside a Pillow”, was often used as an important literary mechanism in the early modern period in Japan and influenced many gesaku (light literature) works. Professor Kinkin’s Dream of Splendor, for example, which is highly regarded as the beginning of Kibyoshi (illustrated storybooks with yellow covers), used precisely this mechanism.
The First Dream of Kantan’s Pillow actively incorporates elements related to ningyo joruri written by CHIKAMATSU Monzaemon and Tojin gyoretsu, which make the story full of exoticism.
Based on confirmation of the sources of the relevant documents, this paper re-examined the publication year of the text of The First Dream of Kantan’s Pillow and examined how the mechanism of Kantan’s Dream is utilized, how the exotic text is created, and how the Tojin is depicted in the text.
Based on prior studies, this paper also examined the names of multiple illustrators involved and relevant information suggested by words and sentences in the text, and as a result, put forward a new hypothesis about its publication year
By clarifying the source of the text, it was found that many words and sentences in the work are cited from the Noh play Kantan and that the plot related to Golden Millet Dream in the Taiheiki underlies this work. In addition to these elements, it also achieves the effect of popularization and making an interesting development by quoting words and sentences in ningyo joruri plays includiong The Battles of Coxinga and The Stolen Crystal Jewel.
Finally, this paper explains how this work makes full use of Ningyo joruri and Tojin gyoretsu, which was created, inspired by Joseon missions to Japan, to construct the dream world of the Tojin. At the same time, it also examines how the author used jiguchi (paronomasia) based on Kabuki, ningyo joruri, popular songs, and the customs of the era to playfully depict the Tojin in comparison to Japanese people.departmental bulletin pape
