    An automatized method to parameterize embedded stereo matching algorithms

    International audienceMany applications rely on 3D information as a depth map. Stereo Matching algorithms reconstruct a depth map from a pair of stereoscopic images. Stereo Matching algorithms are computationally intensive, that is why implementing efficient stereo matching algorithms on embedded systems is very challenging for real-time applications. Indeed, like many vision algorithms, stereo matching algorithms have to set a lot of parameters and thresholds to work efficiently. When optimizing a stereo-matching algorithm, or changing algorithms parts, all those parameters have to be set manually. Finding the most efficient solution for a stereo-matching algorithm on a specific platform then becomes troublesome. This paper proposes an automatized method to find the optimal parameters of a dense stereo matching algorithm by learning from ground truth on a database in order to compare it with respect to any other alternative. Finally, for the C6678 platform, a map of the best compromise between quality and execution time is obtained, with execution times that are between 42 ms and 382 ms and output errors that are between 6% and 9.8%

In this paper, a system is presented to assist operators in the interpretation of best medical coding practices. By leveraging the arguments used by the coding experts to determine the best coding option, the proposed system is designed to answer the coding questions from operators and provide an answer associated with a partial explanation for the proposed solution

    Stability and Robustness Analysis for a Multi-Species Chemostat Model with Uncertainties

    International audienceWe prove stability and robustness results for chemostat models with one substrate, an arbitrary number of species, a constant dilution rate, and constant inputs of the species. Unlike all previous works, we prove input-to-state stability under uncertainties in important cases where the controls are the input nutrient concentration and the species inputs. Our assumptions ensure global asymptotic stability for an equilibrium, which can allow persistence of multiple species, when the uncertainties are zero. We allow arbitrarily large bounds on the uncertainties in the species dynamics, and equilibria that can be in the boundary of the state space

    International audienceWe prove extensions of Razumikhin's theorem for time-varying continuous and discrete time nonlinear systems. Our results include a novel 'strictification' technique for converting a nonstrict Lyapunov function into a strict one. We also provide new constructions of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals that can be used to prove robustness to perturbations. Our examples include a key model from identification theory, and they show how our method can sometimes allow broader classes of delays than the results in the literature

    Tensorial metasurface antennas radiating polarized beams based on aperture field implementation

    International audienceThis paper presents a procedure for the design of tensorial metasurface antennas radiating polarized beams through aperture field synthesis. The aperture field is generated using the surface wave to leaky wave conversion resulting from metasurface modulation. The design procedure of the feeder is presented with a description of the geometrical parameters affecting the antenna matching. Numerical solutions for single beam and multi-beam metasurface antennas working respectively, at 12.25 and 20 GHz are presented. In addition, a metasurface prototype working at 12.25 GHz is manufactured and measured
