"The Chariot" Tara High School, 2004
Located at 9002 Whitehall Ave. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana construction of Tara High School started in December of 1968 and the school opened in September, 1970. Designed by architect George Thompson and built at a cost of nearly 3 million dollars. the school intially held 1,200 students in 54 classrooms. Mr. Arnold Simmons served as first principal

"The Bruin" Catholic High School, 2003
Catholic High School was originally known under the name St. Vincent's Academy created by the congregation of the Brothers of the Secret Heart in 1894. As the student body grew, new facilities were constructed on North and 4th streets. It was during this time of transition (1929) that the school name was changed to Catholic High School. The school was moved to its current location at Hearthstone Drive in 1957
