Communicating to foreign tourists about cultural products can be done by means of advertising through the use of written English. The objectives of this study were to study the local stallholders at the Sunday Walking- Street Market, Chiang Mai regarding the use of written English to advertise cultural products and opinions towards language written in English. Survey questionnaires, interviews and participant observation were conducted to collect the data. The results revealed that local stallholders showed a high level of agreement in using English to advertise their products. The needs to use English to name the products, materials, and prices, including the uniqueness and the benefits of the products, were evident. Regarding the opinions towards language written in English, it was found that the local stallholders strongly agreed that concise and informative content were necessary to be written in the text of their signs. Difficulties in communication in English were also observed. An attempt to use words or phrases in chunks and gestures were insufficient in explaining products or continuing the conversation. Consequently, the difficulties in communication between the local stallholders and foreign tourist hinders selling opportunities. Thus, the development of English body text to advertise cultural products and the study of its effectiveness are highly suggested.

The Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture and Suitable Agro-Adaptation in Phufa Sub-District, Nan Province, Thailand
This research aims to examine the perceptions and adaptations of climate change by upland farmers in the Northern Thailand. Primary data was collected from six rural communities in Phufa Sub-district, Nan Province, Thailand, using a questionnaire survey on a sample of 400 farmers and six focus group discussions. The ordered logistic regression was used to analyze probabilities in agro-adaptation strategies of climate change. Research finding shows that majority of the farmers have perceived increasing temperatures and declining rainfall. The majority of farmers have experiences of decrease crop yield and crop quality due to the potential impacts of climate change. Research results show that overall 68% of the farmers adopt their farm practices due to climate change and related risks. Most of the farmers preferred changing farm management as key adaptation practices followed by diversification of income-generating and livelihood activities, as well as changing in crop pattern and crop calendar. The ordered logistic regression estimation shows that marital status, farm land slope, government support and help, source of weather information, confident of weather information, and farmer’s experiences on the impact of hot weather and extreme climatic event are among the factors which positively and significantly affect farmers’ adaptation level. The participants of six focus group discussion proposed the framework of climate-smart upland farmers as the guideline for climate change adaptation. This research confirmed that ordered logistic models can be used to analyze climate change adaptations level. The framework of climate-smart farmers also provides information for designing policies to face with climate change of upland farmers in Thailand. Scaling up environmental friendly adaptation practice needs strong policy support to promote climate-smart farmers movement.

Validity and Reliability Resource Utilization in Dementia 3.2 Thai for Assessing Cost of Dementia Care
Background
Assessing the cost of dementia is a complex process, but no assessment instrument in Thai has existed. Cost estimates are needed in Thailand, especially for family caregivers. The objective was to translate the widely used tool Resource Utilization in Dementia 3.2 (RUD) into Thai and to evaluate the validity and reliability. The RUD 3.2 was first translated from English into Thai, and the back-translation was then carried out for purposes of linguistic and technical accuracy. The completed Thai RUD 3.2 was tested for intra-rater reliability among 30 dementia caregivers in the Lamsonthi District, Lopburi Province. Reliability was analyzed by means of the Kappa coefficient and intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC). It was found that the lengthy, the methodical process of translating and the back-translation resulted in an approval of validity. Intra-rater testing on reliability showed varied results: such as caregiver’s characteristics (kappa 0.55, 1.00); caregiver time (kappa 0.76, 0.96); caregiver work status (kappa 0.00, 1.00); caregiver health care resource utilization (kappa 0.94, 1.00); patient living accommodation (kappa 1.00); and patient health care resource utilization (kappa 0.52, 1.00). Here, the RUD 3.2 Thai version was utilized to conduct a thorough examination of the validity of the contents and its reliability. The RUD 3.2 Thai was accordingly suggested as a reasonable instrument for the assessment of caregiving time and resource utilization among Thai dementia caregivers.

Comparing Media Use among Ethnic Thai-So in Northeastern Thailand: A Case Study of Kokmoung Village, Photipaisan Village and Nonghoynoi Village
The research was to compare media use among ethnic Thai-So in northeastern Thailand. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, using questionnaires as the main research instrument. Using a stratified random sampling, a total of 631 Thai-So people were the research participants. Collected data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and a one-way ANOVA. The findings indicated that the socio-economic status, selective exposure to messages, motivation for media use and media use, across the three villages, were similar to each another. Nevertheless, there was a difference in media use when considering six types of media in each village. Photipaisan village (V2) used newspaper, satellite television, and internet to a greater extent than Kokmoung village (V1) and Nonghoynoi village (V3), and at the same time Nonghoynoi village (V3) watched satellite television rather than Kokmoung village did (V1). Furthermore, the implication of this research pinpointed that education, socio-economic status, labor migration and urbanization were the significant variables causing Thai-So people to accept and use various media: newspapers, satellite television and Internet.

Performance and Emissions of a Turbocharging Diesel Engine Using B10 and Supercharging Syngas on Dual Fuel
In Thailand, the ministry of energy needs to increase the use of renewable energies, especially biodiesel and syngas, more than 25%. However, blending biodiesel more than 10% provided lower engine performance significantly. Therefore, this research aims to present about the investigating performance and emissions of a turbocharging diesel engine using the diesel blended to 10% biodiesel (B10) compared with the use of B10 and syngas on dual fuel. Syngas was generated from a downdraft gasifier by using the charcoal, and it was increased the gas flow rate from 76 to 125 lpm by using a supercharger. Results of using B10 compared with diesel show that the fuel properties of B10 were similar to diesel. Engine performance was decreased slightly, but emissions, such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, and black smoke, were also reduced. Results of engine test using the dual fuel between B10 and increasing syngas quantity (B10+SG) indicate that the use of B10+SG at 85 lpm had similar engine performance to using diesel only. Use of B10+SG at 125 lpm was the best because of higher engine performance and more fuel saving as compared with using B10 and diesel only. On the other hand, the use of B10+SG compared with using both oils only show that various emissions were enormously increased while the syngas quantity was increased to 125 lpm.
