Traffic management and precise synchronization in industrial networks are essential to ensure deterministic and reliable communications, especially in critical applications where compliance with latency, availability, and synchronization requirements is essential. In this sense, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) technology emerges as an extension of the standard Ethernet protocol aimed at meeting these needs, incorporating a series of functionalities that guarantee timed transmissions, traffic prioritization, and fault tolerance.
In this context, this Master's Thesis is carried out. Its main objective is the design and implementation of a TSN functionality demonstrator that allows the evaluation of the behaviour of its most representative functionalities. Specifically, it examines in practice the operation of time synchronization, bandwidth reservation and traffic shaping, and determinism and reliability.
The demonstrator is implemented in a single physical network scenario, on which three independent tests are performed, each focusing on a specific functionality. It allows validating, under real-world conditions, the impact of TSN mechanisms on network performance and behaviour.Sare industrialetan trafikoaren kudeaketa eta sinkronizazio zehatza ezinbestekoak dira komunikazio deterministak eta fidagarriak bermatzeko, batez ere latentzia, erabilgarritasun eta sinkronizazio-eskakizunak betetzea ezinbestekoa den aplikazio kritikoetan. Zentzu honetan, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) teknologia Ethernet protokolo estandarraren luzapen gisa sortu zen behar horiek asetzeko helburuarekin, denborazko transmisioak, trafikoaren lehentasuna eta akatsen tolerantzia bermatzen dituzten funtzionalitateak barneratuz.
Testuinguru horretan, Master Amaierako Lan (MAL) hau egin da. Lan honen helburu nagusia da TSN funtzionalitateen erakusle bat diseinatzea eta inplementatzea da, haren funtzionalitate adierazgarrienen portaera ebaluatu ahal izateko. Zehazki, modu praktikoan aztertzen dira denbora-sinkronizazioaren funtzionamendua, banda-zabaleraren erreserba eta trafikoaren modelatzea, eta determinismoa eta fidagarritasuna.
Erakuslea sare fisikoko agertoki bakar batean inplementatu da, eta horren gainean hiru proba independente egin dira, bakoitza funtzionalitate jakin batean zentratuta. TSN mekanismoek sarearen errendimenduan eta portaeran duten eragina baldintza errealetan balioztatzea ahalbidetzen du

Valorized sheep wool biocomposites towards a more sustainable building sector: thermal insulation, sound absorption, and resistance against insects
In the search for sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives for building insulation materials, biocomposites of sheep wool embedded in a polymer matrix were prepared by freeze-drying, combining soy protein with 7, 10, 15 and 20 wt % sheep wool. In addition, in order to protect these biocomposites against insects, coffee grounds were incorporated into the formulation. Thermal conductivity characterization revealed values in the order of other natural insulating materials. Additionally, coefficients of absorption at normal incidence, with values up to 0.96, showed a competitive performance of the biocomposites, in the same line of the samples without coffee grounds. Furthermore, the test of resistance against insects, with 2B classification according to ISO 3998, showed a good protection against keratophagous insects, especially against carpet beetle (Anthrenus flavipies). Consequently, biocomposites with an entirely renewable and eco-friendly composition, which valorize biowaste from different sources, were found to be functional as thermal and acoustic insulators towards more sustainable materials in the building sector. This work has been supported by PID2021-124294OB-C22 project funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/FEDER, EU and by the Basque Government (IT1658-22)
Ruralism and Modernism: A New Narrative for Good Practices in Malagueira
All right reservedThe present dissertation proposes a new narrative that establishes a dialogue between ruralism and modernism, positioning the Malagueira project, designed by Álvaro Siza, as a pivotal case study for rethinking the modern imaginary and informing good architectural practices. In recent decades, the definitions and manifestations regarding rurality have become central themes across disciplines, particularly in response to demographic shifts, urban challenges, and heritage vulnerabilities. Within the discipline of architecture, this research constructs a theoretical framework that examines the evolution of ruralism and its entanglements with modern imaginaries, tracing their influence on spatial experiments and architectural thought. Building upon this conceptual grounding, the research develops a holistic analysis of Malagueira, addressing its territorial transformation, architectural design, and community dynamics. Through this lens, the study questions the
collective memory, interconnected imaginaries, and the contested realities that shape Malagueira, reinterpreting its value, integrity, and significance. By engaging with the interferences between ruralism and modernism, the dissertation broadens reflections on totality in architectural and conservation practices, advocating for an approach that integrates environment, space, culture, and society. Malagueira is thus positioned as a key reference in contemporary debates on modern heritage, not as a static entity but as a
living and evolving organism, shaped by rural identity, urban processes and societal dynamics
Conference PosterThe EbroHydromorph project aims to study the morphological changes of the middle Ebro river (between Logroño and La Zaida) in recent decades, and sediment transport in particular. In a first phase, a historical study of land use changes in the Ebro river basin draining to the end point of the study section is being carried out, with the aim of finding out how this has affected the hydrogeomorphological conditions of the river courses. The elaboration of the cartography of the mid-20th century has been a laborious task carried out by digitising the uses and completing it with some of the maps already drawn up previously in some areas of the studied basin. Land use cover of the mid-20th century have been reconstructed and compared with those available in the 2014 land use mapping, analysing in greater detail the modification of the active channel surfaces of the entire basin, as an indicator of the changes in flow and sediment inputs. The preliminary results show a drastic reduction of active channel surfaces, while forest, artificial and grassland areas have increased. Proyecto PID2022-138196OB-C32 “The Ebro Sediment Observatory (OSE): hydro-geomorphological adjustments in response to

Effectiveness of a nutrition education programme for individuals with celiac disease and their supporters through social media (GLUTLEARN project)
Introduction
Social media has become a popular tool for patients with Celiac Disease (CD) to find information about their disease. However, limited research has been conducted to evaluate the impact of information shared on social media, specifically regarding CD.
Objetive
This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a nutrition education program on CD and gluten-free diet (GFD) delivered through social networks by experts in the field.
Method
The program, called GLUTLEARN, was delivered over six weeks via Instagram to individuals with CD and their supporters (people involved in the care of individuals with CD). Pre and post-intervention questionnaires were used to evaluate the program's effectiveness.
Results
A total of 93 participants (63 with CD, 30 supporters), predominantly female (92.5 %) and European (93.5 %), took part in the program. GLUTLEARN has been found to be effective in improving the knowledge of people with CD and their supporters and improving attitudes among individuals. Furthermore, they showed a high level of concern about the disease and an interest in continuous learning.
Conclusion
Social networks give advantages for promoting nutrition education. Nevertheless, it is important to feed these nets with reliable information. The GLUTLEARN program is a valuable method for delivering reliable and current education about CD and the GFD, which leads to better disease control. It would be beneficial for more interventions to focus not only on individuals with CD but also on those who are avoiding gluten for various reasons or are involved in their care.Maialen Vázquez-Polo and Gesala Perez-Junkera are fellowships of the University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU, and the Basque Government, respectively. Varieties of normativity and mental health. An enactive approach.
In recent years, (autonomy-centered) enactivism has been used to provide an integrative and relational account of mental conditions. A significant advancement lies in its naturalized and pluralistic treatment of normativity, which transcends traditional objectivist and normativist dichotomies. This article explores the varieties of normativity within this paradigm and their implications for understanding mental conditions. We address purported challenges associated with the integration of social normativity into the enactive naturalistic framework of cognition, particularly concerning mental conditions. Drawing upon the distinction between the constitution problem and the status problem, we conceptualize mental conditions as intersubjectively constituted with an intersubjectively negotiated status. Adopting a participatory sense-making perspective, we address three challenges posed by social movements: (1) Hermeneutical dilemmas related to the ontological openness of mental health categories. (2) The difficulties and urgency to mitigate epistemic injustices. (3) The complex attribution of (social) responsibility in psychological wellbeing. In conclusion, this perspective prompts a reevaluation of epistemological assumptions, advocating for a second-person and engaged perspective on mental conditions.Open Access funding provided thanks to the CRUE-CSIC agreement with Springer Nature.
