A Surprising Mirative Coordinate Structure in Basque
Euskarak badauka [NZ-hitza eta X] motako juntadura egitura
bat harridura adierazteko, de Rijkek (1972, 2008) deskribatua eta euskal
gramatika lanetan ia oihartzunik eduki ez duena. Lan honek proposatzen du
egitura hori bete-betean sartzen dela hizkuntza tipologian (DeLancey 1997,
2001; Aikhenvald 2012) proposatu den miratibitatearen esparruan eta bat
egiten duela foku miratiboa (Fábregas 2016, Cruschina 2021) deritzonaren
deskribapenarekin. Juntadura egituran, NZ-hitzak balio existentziala du
(«bada ‘x’ bat») eta bigarren juntagaiak NZ-hitzak murrizten duen aldagaiaren
balioaren identifikazioa egiten du, balio hori esperogabea eta ohiz kanpokoa
delako ñabardura gehituta. Egitura hau XIX. mendetik aurrera lekukotzen da
euskara idatzian eta Hego Euskal Herrian baino ez bide da ezaguna.Espainiako Zientzia, Berrikuntza eta Unibertsitateetako Ministerioaren PID2022-140336NB-I0
Relics and sacred images of St. Ignatius of Loyola at the Roman Casa Professa
This article analyzes the visual rhetorical discourse surrounding the figure of Ignatius of Loyola, as portrayed in various parts of the Roman Casa Professa at the end of the seventeenth century. In the context of Counter-Reformation image culture, these interventions relied on visual splendor and created links between Ignatius’s relics, his tomb, and the room where he died, along with the sacred images decorating the corridor and his funerary chapel in the Gesù. Referring to the saint’s two natures—the mortal and the spiritual—these spaces were reinterpreted as sites of Jesuit cultural memory, aimed to elevate the founder’s figure, foster devotion among the faithful, and reinforce his normative image. This project exemplifies how the Society of Jesus viewed the visual arts as tools for intensifying faith and devotion.Proyecto de Investigación I+D+i "Disrupciones y continuidades en el proceso de la modernidad (siglos XVI–XIX): Un análisis pluridisciplinar (Historia, Arte, Literatura)", Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (PID2020-114496RB-I00)

Age-related differences in language processing: Eye-tracking sentence reading patterns in Spanish
552 p.This dissertation investigates how predictive mechanisms and morphosyntacticagreement computations are employed by younger and healthy older adults.Adopting a psycholinguistic approach and using the eye-tracking technique, thethesis explores age-related differences in sentence processing through threeexperimental studies. The novelty of this work lies in its comparative perspective, examining how cognitive and linguistic abilities may differentially manifest acrossthe lifespan. Specifically, it focuses on how executive function components, workingmemory capacity, inhibition and updating and monitoring, interact with eyemovement patterns and behavioral responses to provide a comprehensive account ofaging effects on higher-level language processing at both the lexical and syntacticlevels. Furthermore, the dissertation considers how language experience may serveas a compensatory strategy in older adults during real-time languagecomprehension
Environmental assessment of a hot sauce: Involving stakeholders in the development of new food products
Meeting the expectations of consumers when developing eco-friendly products is essential for an effective change towards sustainable consumption patterns. Interdisciplinary design approaches including both, consumers' insights, and environmental aspects, are crucial for this purpose, but have been rarely adopted in the food sector. The aim of this study was to assess the environmental impact of a new food product (hot sauce) eco-developed by involving consumers' and other stakeholders from early stages, and to analyze how the different steps contributed to the environmental performance of the product. Consumer-centered design (CCD) was applied for direct involvement of consumers through qualitative and quantitative research sensory methods. This was key for product identification and optimization, as it enabled excluding some ingredients and processes with negligible contribution to the sensory profile. Life cycle assessment (LCA) was conducted to identify hot-spots and evaluate the environmental performance of the different prototypes: two hot sauces based on discarded green chili and a baseline hot sauce based on red chili, included for comparison purposes. Secondary ingredients and packaging were identified as the main hotspots in the first prototype. Ingredients produced under more sustainable methods and alternative plastic packaging were proposed for improvement. The final product, not only resulted in a reduction on its environmental footprint respect to the baseline in all impact categories (57–91%), but showed a high level of consumers' acceptance. Despite the limitations of the approach, results showed that combined disciplines could be effective tools for developing more sustainable foods while meeting consumers’ expectations.Financial support for BCC Innovation was provided by Basque Government (Departamento de Desarrollo Economico ´ e Infraestructuras de la Viceconsejería de Agricultura, Pesca e Industria Alimentaria del Gobierno Vasco). Gatazkak lantzeko metodoa (Sarrera)
XX. eta XXI. mendeetan Euskal Herrian eragina izan duten gatazkak arteen bidez jorratzeko metodo bat da Artearen memoria. Gatazkak lantzeko proposamen didaktikoa. Euskal Herriko Unibertsitateko MHLI (Memoria Historikoa Literatura Iberiarretan) ikertaldeak ondu du, memorian eta literaturaren eta beste arteen didaktikan adituak diren kolaboratzaileekin elkarlanean. Hiru urratsetan dago egituratuta metodoa: lehendabizikoan, gorputza eta ahotsa berotzeko ariketak egiten dira. Bigarrenean, gatazkara hurbiltzeko dinamika batzuk proposatzen dira, esperientzia artistikoetan oinarrituta eta artelanak testuinguru historiko politiko baten lekuko gisa ulertuta. Azkenik, Haur eta Gazte Literaturako obra baten irakurketa interartistikoa egiten da; hau da, irakurketan aurrera egin ahala, esperientzia interartistiko askotarikoak proposatzen dira, sormena eta emozioak aktibatuz eta gatazkak gorpuztuz. Metodoa testuinguru eta gai ezberdinen inguruan aplikatu ahal izateko, corpus zabal bat jarri da argitaletxearen Hezkuntza plataforman, irakasleen eskura. Corpus horretako obra batean oinarrituta, metodo honen aplikazio bat jaso da liburu honetan; Lehen Hezkuntzako hirugarren zikloan euskal gatazka lantzeko proposamena, Castillo Suarez eta Aitziber Alonsoren Nemo kapitainaren azken bidaia (2017) narrazioan oinarritua. Unitate honen lehen aplikazio praktikoa Errenteriako Herri Arte Eskolan egin zen, eta bertako ikasleek sortutako lanen irudiak dira argitalpenean jaso direnak.MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033, FEDER (EB)-PID2021-125952NB-I00, IT 1579-22 (EJ), US21/15 (EHU
LABURPENA
Lan honetan, 1981 eta 1986 artean Oilaskoa kobazuloan berreskuratutako multzo paleontologiko baten azterketako emaitzak azaltzen dira.
Kobazuloa Pirinioetako mendebaldeko muturrean dago, 1036 metroko altitudean, eta era bere bereko beste metaketa batzuekiko isolatuta
dago. Hori dela eta, multzoa aukera paregabea da Goi Pleistozenoan Pirinioetako mendebaldean bizi izan zen Ursus spelaeus Rosenmüller-en
populazioa ezagutzeko.
ABSTRACT
This work presents the results of the study of a paleontological group recovered in the Oilaskoa cave between 1981 and 1986. The location
of this sit in the western end of the Pyrenees at 1036 meters of altitude and its isolation with respect to other accumulations of the same type,
Oilaskoa a unique opportunity to get to know the population of Ursus spelaeus Rosenmüller. In the following pages, this accumulation of 3310
remains is contextualized and analyzed. A series of numerical dating (AAR) have made possible to locate its formation between MIS 4 and MIS
3. Subsequently, we proceed to a description detailed analysis of the remains studied, including an analysis of the Ursus spelaeus population,
based on dental wear and a biometric analysis. All this allows a comparative analysis carried out with other groups of similar characteristics
located in the Iberian Peninsula
Microstructure-Based Numerical Modeling and Experimental Analysis of the Effect of Fiber-Matrix Separation in Glass-Reinforced Polyamide-6 Forged Components
This study investigates the structural behavior of a glass-fiber reinforced polyamide-6 forged part using numerical simulation methods that replicate the microstructure created by the fiber-matrix separation (FMS) phenomenon. A numerical “as-designed” (idealized) model of a T-beam loaded in three-point bending, which assumed uniformly distributed fibers throughout the part, overestimated stiffness and strength of the experimental results by 106% and 86%, respectively. Process-Property-Structure-Performance relationship consideration importance was highlighted in this work. The “as-manufactured” numerical model, based on the real fiber content in each region studied by microstructural analysis, was validated with experimental three-point bending tests predicting only 2% of deviation in stiffness. However, fiber distribution can be neglected when modeling strength in “as-manufactured,” as failure in experimental T-beams consistently initiated at the fiber-free tip of the rib and propagated catastrophically through the rib area.Authors thank the Basque Government for providing financial support (IT1613-22; KK-2022/00036) for this study
Saharako gazteak: erresistentziak, egokitzapenak eta zerumuga berri baten bilaketa
178 p.Tindufeko saharar errefuxiatuen kanpamentuetako gazteen egoerak berebiziko garrantzia du, bai maila humanitarioan, baita maila soziologikoan ere. 1975ean ezarri zirenetik, kanpamentu horiek milaka sahararren babesleku izan dira, Marokok Mendebaldeko Sahara legez kanpo okupatu zuelako. Babesleku izan badira ere, bizi-baldintza zailek eta aukera faltak erronka handiak dakartzate, batez ere gazteentzat, horiek kanpamentuetako biztanleriaren zati handia baitira
