    Wybrane dane z działania badawczego &#34;Kobiety w ruchu reformy życia. Przestrzenie emancypacji&#34; sfinansowanego przez Narodowe Centrum Nauki, Miniatura, grant nr 2023/07/X/HS2/01174.Zbiór zawiera robocze materiały będące efektem wstępnego rozpoznania przestrzeni aktywności kobiet w ramach ruchu reformy życia. Składa się nań obszerny dokument tekstowy (w języku polskim) z biografiami 30 kobiet oraz nazwiskami kolejnych kilkudziesięciu, które związane były z trzema pionierskimi ośrodkami reformy: osiedlami Eden, Monte Verità i Hellerau. Noty biograficzne opatrzone zostały każdorazowo bibliografią i odsyłaczami do dalszych źródeł. Dokument zbiera ponadto ogólną bibliografię dotyczącą ruchu reformy życia, badanych ośrodków oraz wybranych aktywności kobiet powiązanych z ruchem, w tym wiele odwołań do baz danych i materiałów o różnym charakterze dostępnych online - zwykle w języku niemieckim, niekiedy jednak również angielskim, włoskim, francuskim i polskim.Wstępnie opracowany materiał tekstowy uzupełniają zbiory fotografii wykonanych przez autorkę podczas wizytacji osiedli.___________Selected data collected during scientific research &#34;Women in the Life Reform Movement. Spaces of Emancipation&#34; funded by National Science Centre (NCN), Poland (MINIATURA Grant No. 2023/07/X/HS2/01174).The collection contains working materials resulting from a preliminary exploration of women&#39;s spheres of activity within the life reform movement. It consists of a comprehensive text document (in Polish) featuring biographies of 30 women, along with the names of several dozen more who were associated with three pioneering centers of reform: the settlements of Eden, Monte Verità, and Hellerau. Each biographical note is accompanied by a bibliography and references to additional sources.Additionally, the document compiles a general bibliography on the life reform movement, the studied centers, and selected women&#39;s activities linked to the movement. This includes numerous references to databases and various online materials—mostly in German, but also in English, Italian, French, and Polish.The text material is complemented by collections of photographs taken by the author during visits to the settlements.____________Ausgewählte Daten aus der wissenschaftlichen Forschung &#34;Frauen in der Lebensreformbewegung. Räume der Emanzipation&#34;, finanziert durch das Nationale Wissenschaftszentrum (NCN), Polen (MINIATURA, Grant-Nr. 2023/07/X/HS2/01174).Die Sammlung enthält Arbeitsmaterialien, die das Ergebnis einer ersten Erkundung der Aktivitätsbereiche von Frauen innerhalb der Lebensreformbewegung sind.     These files are used for simulating the collision of surfactant-laden droplets.The LAMMPS commands, force fields, and bonded and non-bonded interactions are defined in run.in.nve, system.in.init, and system.in.settings. To prepare the initial configuration, assign velocities, and set vertical distances, you need to use run.in.move along with other supporting files.     Phase transitions of 8CB liquid crystal visualized using in situ liquid-phase transmission electron microscopy

    This data collection presents videos of phase transitions: smectic A-nematic (SmA-N) and nematic-isotropic (N-I) of 4′-Octyl-4-cyanobiphenyl (8CB) liquid crystal recorded using liquid-phase scanning transmission electron microscopy (LP-STEM). The videos are made from fast-series frames acquired at a resolution of 2048x2048, a frame time of 0.84s, and a dwell time of 200ns. In the experiment, we used low-magnification STEM mode in the Talos F200i transmission electron microscope (Thermofisher Scientific), operating at an accelerating voltage of 200 kV and a camera length of 4.6m. For each video, the maximum magnification was 3370x. The individual image series were recorded at a resolution of 2048x2048, but to reduce the file size, the video resolution was lowered to 1024x1024. At the maximum magnification of 3370x, the pixel size at reduced resolution is equal to 29 nm. The detailed metadata of each data set is provided in text files.Videos 1-3 show sequences of phase changes SmA-N and N-I, and accompanying defect formation in the nematic phase, at varying electron dose rates of: 0.79 e-/nm2s (video-1), 1.49 e-/nm2s (video-2), and 2.72 e-/nm2s (video-3). FPS value for videos 1-3 is 10. Video-3 is divided into four parts: Video-3-part-I, Video-3-part-II, Video-3-part-III, and Video-3-part-IV. Video-4 shows a similar sequence of SmA-N and N-I phase transitions at an electron dose rate of 2.79 e-/nm2s, with visible surface tension effects during the N-I phase change. FFPS value for video-4 is 10. Video-5 was recorded with an additional heat source (laser) turned on and off a few times to induce the N-I transition and show the process&#39;s reversibility. FPS value for video-5 is 25.</p

    Polarized infrared spectra and DFT calculations for liquid crystal dimers based on thioether linked napthalene based dimers with nematic twist-bend phase

    The files contain raw data from the analysis to be published in the article entitled „Theoretical Insights into Twist-Bend Nematic Liquid Crystals: Infrared Spectra Analysis of Naphthalene-Based Dimers&#34;.The subject of this study were binary mixtures of 4,4’ –(( alkane-1,(n-2)-diylbis (sulfanediyl)bis(napthalene-6,2-diyl))dibenzonitrriles, referred to as the PNSnSNP series, where n refers to the number of methylene units in the flexible alkyl spacer. We selected odd-spaced nematogens from the PNSnSNP series (n &#61; 3, 7), which exhibit a stable NTB phase. The data include the raw infrared spectra as a function of temperature and from a polarized beam for Both dimers. The files from the infrared spectroscopic measurements are in a file with the extension bsp, which include a description of the temperatures and polarizations, and contain the determined integral absorbances for selected bands. DFT calculations of the molecular geometry, transition dipole moment and theoretical IR spectra for single dimers as well as dimer systems are also included.</p

    Macrophages as carriers of boron carbide nanoparticles dedicated to boron neutron capture therapy

    The use of cells as carriers for the delivery of nanoparticles is a promising approach in anticancer therapy, mainly due to their natural properties, such as biocompatibility and non-immunogenicity. Cellular carriers prevent the rapid degradation of nanoparticles, improve their distribution, reduce cytotoxicity and ensure selective delivery to the tumor microenvironment. Therefore, we propose the use of bone marrow-derived macrophages as boron carbide (B4C) nanoparticle carriers for boron delivery to the tumor microenvironment in boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT).In our studies, bone marrow-derived macrophages showed a great ability to interact with boron carbide. The sensitivity of macrophages to B4C preparations varied depending on their polarization state (M0, M1, and M2). M1 macrophages were the most sensitive to the tested nanoparticles, while M2 macrophages were the least sensitive.Of the two boron carbide preparations tested, the one containing smaller nanoparticles (B4C 1) turned out to be more attractive. B4C 1 caused less inhibition of cell viability, less induction of apoptosis, and little changes in the cell cycle than B4C 2 preparation containing larger nanoparticles. Additionally, B4C 1 did not induce high secretion of proinflammatory cytokines and was engulfed by macrophages to a similar extent as B4C 2.Therefore, M2 macrophages loaded with B4C 1 nanoparticles are the most promising cellular carriers for our further studies and future application in boron neutron capture therapy.The dataset contains all results obtained for bone marrow-derived macrophages that were published in an associated publication.Each folder contains Description.txt file explaining the details.FCS files can be opened with free Flowing Software.</p

    Local and landscape features of the urban flower meadows

     The dataset includes raw data on: 1) landscape variables, and 2) the internal structural characteristics of urban flower meadows. The study was conducted in 2021 across all open green areas designated as urban flower meadows (n &#61; 55) in three major Polish cities (each with &gt;290,000 inhabitants): Białystok (BI) (53°07′59″N, 23°09′51″E), Bydgoszcz (CB) (53°07′24.6″N, 18°00′27.43″E), and Łódź (EL) (51°45′00″N, 19°28′00″E), located in the northern, central, and eastern parts of Poland, respectively.Urban flower meadows varied in size and vegetation cover, ranging from approximately 80 m² to 5,000 m². Landscape variables—specifically features of the urban matrix—were characterized based on Urban Atlas 2018 maps (Copernicus, 2020), which describe 20 different types of urban land use (Table S2). These maps were downloaded from the Copernicus servers for Białystok, Bydgoszcz, and Łódź. The internal characteristics of the urban flower meadows were assessed within each area as part of a biodiversity survey.</p
