The Role of Digital Platforms in Enhancing Customer Relationships and Building Strategic Advantage in Beekeeping - Supplementary Material

This article examines how beekeepers perceive the benefits of digital platforms for customer relationships and strategic outcomes, and whether these perceptions differ based on their digital experience. Using a mixed-method approach, data were collected through a survey of 949 beekeepers and 30 expert interviews. Quantitative results show that digitally experienced beekeepers reported higher perceived benefits across all customer relationship dimensions and most strategic ones, particularly in transparency and honey quality, as confirmed by Mann–Whitney U tests and a random forest model. No significant difference was found for customer loyalty, indicating that loyalty depends more on long-term relationships than digital proficiency. Qualitative insights revealed that digital platforms foster trust, support quality improvement, and strengthen beekeeper–customer connections. The study enhances our understanding of how digital experiences influence perceived benefits, providing practical guidance for prioritizing platform features that promote transparency, quality monitoring, and effective communication.</p
Energy transfer processes in LuAG:Ce and LuAG:Ce, Pr single crystalline film scintillators
This work is devoted to examining the influence of energy transfer processes between Ce3+and Pr3+ions on the luminescent and scintillation properties of LuAG:Ce and LuAG:Ce,Pr scintillators, grown by liquid phase epitaxy onto undoped LuAG substrates with a PbO–B2O3-based flux. To characterize them, measurements of the ab sorption, cathodoluminescence, photoluminescence emission and excitation spectra as well as the photo luminescence decay kinetics of the SCFs under study were performed. The investigation confirmed simultaneous energy transfer processes between d-f and f-f states of Pr3+ions and between Pr3+(d-f) and Ce3+(d-f) ions, as well as from Ce3+(d-f) to Pr3+(f-f) ions in LuAG host. Furthermore, the energy transfer from Pb2+flux-related impurity to Ce3+(d-f) and Pr3+(f-f) ions also were found in the LuAG:Ce and LuAG:Ce,Pr SCFs. An energy di agram of the Pb2+, Pr3+and Ce3+ion levels was constructed, which provides a deeper overview of the mentioned energy transfer processes.</p
Critical Model Insight into Broadband Dielectric Properties of Neopentyl Glycol (NPG)
This report presents the low-frequency (LF), static, and dynamic dielectric properties of neopentyl glycol (NPG), an orientationally disordered crystal (ODIC)-forming material important for the barocaloric effect applications. High-resolution tests were carried out for 173K<𝑇<440𝐾, in liquid, ODIC, and solid crystal phases. The support of the innovative distortion-sensitive analysis revealed a set of novel characterizations important for NPG and any ODIC-forming material. First, the dielectric constant in the liquid and ODIC phase follows the Mossotti Catastrophe-like pattern, linked to the Clausius–Mossotti local field. It challenges the heuristic paradigm forbidding such behavior for dipolar liquid dielectrics. For DC electric conductivity, the prevalence of the ‘critical and activated’ scaling relation is evidenced. It indicates that commonly applied VFT scaling might have only an effective parameterization meaning. The discussion of dielectric behavior in the low-frequency (LF) domain is worth stressing. It is significant for applications but hardly discussed due to the cognitive gap, making an analysis puzzling. For the contribution to the real part of dielectric permittivity in the LF domain, associated with translational processes, exponential changes in the liquid phase and hyperbolic changes in the ODIC phase are evidenced. The novelty also constitutes 𝑡𝑔𝛿 temperature dependence, related to energy dissipation. The results presented also reveal the strong postfreezing/pre-melting-type effects on the solid crystal side of the strongly discontinuous ODIC–solid crystal transition. So far, such a phenomenon has been observed only for the liquid–solid crystal melting transition. Red-Light-Induced Cysteine Modifications Suitable for Protein Labeling
The naturally low abundance of cysteine in proteins, combined with its propensity to undergo thiol–ene reactions, makes it a preferred amino acid for various bioconjugations. However, most of these methods rely on the use of UV radiation, radical initiators, or heavy-metal-based photocatalysts, which limits their applicability in complex biological environments. Herein, we report a photocatalyzed thiol–ene radical reaction that overcomes these limitations by employing a porphyrin-based photocatalyst and low-energy red light. This method operates under mild reaction conditions and can be expanded to a cysteinyl desulfurization reaction. As this approach proceeds in aqueous media and facilitates selective transformations of both simple free cysteine and cysteine residues within complex protein, it significantly expands the existing toolbox for cysteine bioconjugation.</p

Composite color converters based on the Ca3Sc2Si3O12:Ce single crystalline films
The study is dedicated to the investigation of the structural, luminescent, and photoconversion properties of epitaxial converters based on the single crystalline films of Ce3+ doped Ca3Sc2Si3O12 (CSSG:Ce) garnet. These SCFs with different thicknesses were grown using the liquid phase epitaxy method onto: (i) undoped Gd3Ga2.5Al2.5O12 (GAGG (2.5)) substrates; (ii) Ce3+ doped Gd3Ga2.5Al2.5O12 (GAGG:Ce (2.5) and Gd3Ga3Al2O12 (GAGG:Ce (3) substrates. For the first time, we have examined the phosphor conversion properties of the mentioned film and film-crystal converters under the excitation of a blue LED. We have established a trend line in the color coordinate diagram by systematically varying the film thickness in the 2–30 μm, 17–22 μm and 7–22 μm ranges for CSSG:Ce film/GAGG (2.5) crystal, CSSG:Ce film/GAGG:Ce (2.5) crystal and CSSG:Ce film/GAGG:Ce (3) crystal composite converters, respectively.</p

The repository includes molecular dynamics (MD) simulation input files and post-processing scripts relevant to the study presented in the manuscript entitled "The presence of substrate warrants oxygen access tunnels toward the catalytic site of lipoxygenases" by T. Manivarma et al., published in Redox Biology.The MD simulation inputs cover all simulation steps, including a Tcl script that facilitates water penetration into the membrane.The Jupyter Notebook files contain:(i) Analysis of crystallographic waters in LOX family members using WatFinder via the ProDy API.(ii) Analysis of oxygen clusters in PDB frames extracted from the MD simulations.</p

Age-Dependent Effects of Yolkin on Contact Sensitivity and Immune Phenotypes in Juvenile Mice
Yolkin, an egg yolk immunoregulatory protein, stimulates the humoral but inhibits the cellular immune response in adult mice. Assuming that yolkin may promote maturation of the immunocompetent cells, we evaluated the effects of yolkin on the cellular and humoral immune response (oxazolone and ovalbumin, respectively), in juvenile 28- and 37-day-old mice, Yolkin was administered in drinking water before immunization. The results showed that yolkin had a stimulatory effect on the cellular immune response in the mice treated with yolkin from the 37th day of life but not from the 28th day of life. No regulatory effects of yolkin on antibody production were found in these mice. Phenotypic studies revealed significant changes in the content of B cells and T cell subpopulations including CD4+CD25+Foxp3 regulatory T cells. The results revealed a short age frame in the adolescent mice when the changes in the content of immunocompetent cells (the increases in helper T cell phenotype and the decrease in regulatory T cells) could explain the stimulatory effect of yolkin on the cellular immune response.The detailed description of the dataset is presented in readme.txt file.The experimental methodology is included in the linked publication.</p
