No full textThis dataset represents survey data from the fifth wave of the Czech Attitude Barometer (CAB) panel survey. The CAB panel survey studies the attitudes and behaviour of the adult (15 years or older) population of residents in the Czech Republic. Respondents in the panel were sampled using a multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method with replacement. The sampling frame is the Census Districts and Buildings Register. The 66 strata are based on the Czech Republic regions crossed with the municipality's size. The themes covered in the fifth wave of the CAB panel survey include affective and issue polarisation, resilience, attitudes towards climate change, attitudes towards migrants, attitudes towards technocratic populism, trust in political institutions, and fear of the war in Ukraine. The fifth wave of the CAB panel replicates themes from the first and third waves, thus constituting a fully longitudinal wave of the CAB panel survey. In total, 1781 respondents completed the questionnaire between April 4 and April 19, 2025. The dataset from the fifth wave contains 209 variables

No full textThis dataset represents survey data from the sixth wave of the Czech Attitude Barometer (CAB) panel survey. The CAB panel survey studies the attitudes and behaviour of the adult (15 years or older) population of residents in the Czech Republic. Respondents in the panel were sampled using a multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method with replacement. The sampling frame is the Census Districts and Buildings Register. The 66 strata are based on the Czech Republic regions crossed with the municipality's size. Conducted primarily as a cross-sectional wave, the sixth wave of the CAB panel incorporates several new questions and batteries designed for a one-off cross-sectional survey of panel respondents. These new items include batteries measuring concerns about the potential manipulation of the October 2025 Chamber of Deputies elections, ritualised behaviour, tolerance, and schadenfreude. At the same time, selected items and batteries in the sixth wave constitute longitudinal measurements repeated from the first cross-sectional wave (i.e., the second wave of the CAB panel). These repeated measurements include concerns about artificial intelligence, the status threat scale, attitudes toward distributive justice, and gender equality. In total, 1744 respondents completed the questionnaire between July 11 and July 24, 2025. The dataset from the sixth wave contains 200 variables

The CAB panel survey studies the attitudes and behaviour of the adult (15 years or older) population of residents in the Czech Republic. Respondents in the panel were sampled using a multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method with replacement. The sampling frame is the Census Districts and Buildings Register. The 66 strata are based on the Czech Republic regions crossed with the municipality's size. The eighth wave was fielded immediately after the October 2025 Chamber of Deputies elections. To study voting behaviour, the post-election CAB wave administered a set of key items from the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES) Module 6 questionnaire. In addition, the themes covered in the eighth wave of the CAB panel survey include affective and issue polarisation, resilience, and trust in political institutions. The eighth wave of the CAB panel replicates some themes from the first, third, fifth, and seventh waves, thus partially constituting a longitudinal wave of the CAB panel survey. In total, 1750 respondents completed the questionnaire between October 5 and October 16, 2025. The dataset from the eighth wave contains 364 variables

The CAB panel survey studies the attitudes and behaviour of the adult (15 years or older) population of residents in the Czech Republic. Respondents in the panel were sampled using a multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method with replacement. The sampling frame is the Census Districts and Buildings Register. The 66 strata are based on the Czech Republic regions crossed with the municipality's size. The questions covered in the fourth wave differ significantly from those surveyed in the first three waves of the CAB panel survey and the subsequent panel waves. The core of the fourth wave is an open-ended question asking respondents to identify five things they would change in the Czech Republic if they had the power to do so. Additional themes surveyed in the fourth wave include social tolerance and prejudice toward different social groups, environmental satisfaction and concern, perceptions of security and threats, political interest and engagement, as well as civic and non-electoral political participation. In total, 1226 respondents completed the questionnaire between November 29 and December 3, 2024. The dataset from the fourth wave contains 129 variables
