No full textThis research paper investigates a career that is of personal interest to the author. The culmination of a semester-long project, the paper is an overview of radiography, examining the skills all successful x-ray technologists should have, with added consideration given to job responsibilities and some stressors. Further exploration into educational requirements, professional organizations, and employment opportunities are also discussed. Finally, it highlights some research into the history of the field, some of its controversies, and where the profession is headed in the future.

Get PDFThe genus Anolis comprises of species of iguanian lizards called anoles that have vastly diversified to over 400+ species. Looking specifically at those that inhabit the islands of the West Indies, this genus has remarkably evolved where they have undergone adaptive radiation on each island, much like Darwin’s finches on the Galapagos islands, and have convergently evolved to similar characteristics as described by different ecomorph classes. In examining the evolution of the genus Anolis on the islands of the West Indies, this paper goes into detail the factors that go into adaptive radiation and convergent evolution.

In ancient Egypt, all classes of Egyptians owned some gold or jewelry. As a religious practice, Egyptians wore jewelry for physical and spiritual protection. They even buried their dead with jewelry for protection in the afterlife. Today, similar importance is seen in Hip-Hop culture. In addition to jewelry being a status symbol for rappers, it is a way for them to express their religion, respect their dead, and express their sense of self-identity as successful Black men in America.

Stories of Teaching on a Conceal and Carry Stage: A Dramaturgical Narrative Inquiry
Get PDFThe story of a mass shooting occurring on the place of school seems to be a common one in the contemporary American cultural narrative. One of the more controversial solutions offered within this narrative is allowing citizens to protect themselves through the practice of conceal and carry. The practice of legally allowing individuals to conceal and carry a firearm while at the place of school and in the place of class is at the cornerstone of this research inquiry. This qualitative research study employs a dramaturgical narrative approach to explore the daily lives of full-time community college faculty members. In figuratively living alongside full-time faculty members and listening to their stories, the author was able to simulate teacher experience on a three-dimensional inquiry stage. Employing traditional narrative methods and embodying experience metaphorically through dramaturgical orientation allowed the researcher to understand faculty members\u27 attitudes, feelings, and understandings of performing in a space that legally allows concealed weapons
