    The sudden release of OpenAI’s artificially intelligent chatbot, ChatGPT, in November, 2022, prompted a frenzy of questions and concerns about the imminent impact of this technology. As a member of the College of DuPage’s Speech and Debate Team, I decided to tackle this topic in the form of an informative speech. This presentation explains what ChatGPT is and a few potential use cases, but most importantly explores the implications this technology has on misinformation, academics, forensics, and “original work”.     The”war on drugs” around the world has made profound impacts. Mexico’s heroin has ravaged the Americas while in the Philippines, methamphetamine has run rampant. This analysis is of Mexico’s president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) and the Philippines’ head of state Rodrigo Roa Duterte and their very different hands-on approaches to tackle the war on drugs. AMLO’s, “hugs not bullets” policy moves the military from apprehending cartel officials to the streets for the protection of civilians, and Dutertes’, “shoot on sight” policy, taking imminent action on those with illicit substance ties.     The Metaverse is an immersive virtually created environment where it is possible to create, explore, work, and interact with other people and objects in the same virtual and or mixed reality. The Metaverse which is being developed by Mark Zuckerberg has the ability to transform our vision of the future by expanding countless opportunities of education, therapy, and socializing. However, as a society we must be cautious of how this new technology can increase many already prevalent and difficult issues that exist in our world today, such as hate speech, grooming, and Meta, formally known as Facebook, becoming an unbreakable monopoly.     Sequential storytelling is a multi-medial method of storytelling that relies wholly on two foundational concepts, the classical aspect known as “mi mesis” and the Human element taught to us through the human condi tion. The Essence of storytelling is the living breathing component, the vital component that makes it capable wake up, get out of bed, and live our lives. When combined with the literary and artistic application of art; the phenomenological occurrence of being able to experience through a collection of images opens potential that has yet to be tapped.
