The Republic of India has increased its global influence in the twenty-first century, largely due to the continual augmentation of the country\u27s power systems. This paper explores different facets of power and questions the value of soft power. Hard power, soft power, and smart power will be defined respectively; each of these concepts will then be applied to an explanation of the impact of different soft power pillars in India.
