Stabilizing Role of the Banking System in Business Management Amidst Russia-Ukraine War

    Get PDF
The full-scale war unleashed by the Russian Federation in February 2022 in Ukraine significantly affected the state of the country\u27s economy as a whole, as well as business opportunities. From this perspective, it became necessary to analyze which financial sources could enable businesses in Ukraine to maintain their business activities and effectively stabilize the recession under present conditions. This became the purpose of this article. It turned out that the banking system could potentially be the main source of stabilization for anti-crisis business management on this path, which it has actually become. A number of conclusions were drawn based on systematic and complex research approaches, in the course of a two-stage analysis of surveys on business sector entities, the structure and dynamics of commercial banks\u27 performance indicators in Ukraine as of 2022, their ability to provide business with the necessary banking services. The scope of business lending is gradually decreasing. This is caused by the unwillingness of banks to cooperate with problematic businesses with low creditworthiness. And this problem still remains unsolved. As for the deposit policy, banks have increased deposit rates, which is a positive trend. At the same time, the requirements for carrying out cash operations have become more complicated, and the scope of additional information to be provided by businesses has increased, which may further increase business operational risks. The stock market saw a suspension of activities during the period of shock, and then trading and securities transactions resumed. In general, the stabilizing role of the banking system for business in Ukraine during this period had a positive effect on the general economic situation

Are Marketers Set to Become Data Analysts?

    Get PDF
The digital world is largely expanding. Today more than 5 billion people are using the Internet which is developing in a correspondence increase in the flux of data that is being generated. A lot of researchers highlighted the importance of big data and the challenges, abilities, and capabilities associated with collecting and analyzing such huge data sets to support a level of decision-making that is more precise and time-consuming than anything previously attempted. This article aims to shed light on this phenomenon from a marketing perspective. Contrary to what has often been assumed, the familiarity, usage, and benefits derived from data are not for scientists only. Marketers have always dealt with research to get data and today they are challenged more than ever through dealing with big data-driven decision-making. There is more and more of a need for marketers with knowledge of data because the insights derived from big data, the decisions made, and the actions taken make all the difference. Instead of data moving purposelessly around in the ether, marketers find value in this data that will help businesses take better actions. In this article we attempt to prove how combining big data with an integrated marketing strategy will have a substantial impact in areas related to customer engagement, customer retention, and loyalty and finally on optimizing marketing performance

Adapting Education to the Development of Post-Industrial Processes in an Economy: Extra-Curricular Project-based Learning for Developing the Innovative Abilities of High School and University Students

    Get PDF
The post-industrial orientation of an economy towards professionals capable of developing and implementing innovative solutions determines the need for rethinking the goals of education and changing educational technologies. Based on the analysis of the distributions of statistical indicators characterizing changes in national education systems in connection with the development of the economy, steady trends in the  growth of the population's level of education and the duration of the higher education cycle, which goes beyond competitive expediency, are shown. At the same time, the trends of increasing educational loads and informational saturation of education can be alleviated by modern opportunities for extra-curricular forms of education that are compatible with business activity and career development of a specialist

Emotional Customer Experience (ECX) in “Phygital” Smart Store Environment

    Get PDF
Smart retail technologies have a significant impact on the emotions of customers in a phygital environment, such as a smart store. This study assessed how and if these technologies act as emotional trigger/source with impacts on the emotional customer experience (ECX).  These technologies appeared to enhance convenience, saving time, and improving the overall shopping experience. The novelty and fascination of these technologies, as well as the resulting concept of smart stores (“just-walk-out” concept), often led to surprise and excitement among customers. These mostly positive emotions were often triggered by the self-service aspects and functionalities of the smart retail technologies Ambivalent or negative emotions arose from the omission of human interaction or the threat to customers\u27 privacy.  In summary, the study found that smart retail technologies can create a positively designed customer experience through a novel, seamless process, time saving and reducing friction during the entire customer journey. These lead to emotions such as surprise, happiness, or excitement, which trigger an overall contentment in customers. The disruption of privacy, ignorance of existing technologies can lead to negative ECXs, expressed through worry or discontentment. Implications over hospitality, tourism, and other service contexts are provided along with recommendations for future research

The Comparative Analysis of Efficacy and Safety Parameters of Insulin Degludec Versus Insulin Glargine: A Systematic Review and Meta- Analysis (2023)

    Get PDF
Insulin glargine and degludec represent the second-generation basal insulins invented to fill in a clinical need for the insulin which matches the normal pattern of insulin secretion as closely as possible. Both insulins showed reduced rates of hypoglycaemia in real-world patients compared to the first-generation basal insulins. However, according to several studies, decludec demonstrated superiority in reaching optimal fasting plasma glucose targets without increasing risk of nocturnal hypoglycaemia. The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety parameters of insulin degludec versus insulin degludec

Electrochemical Obtaining of Thin Tellurium Coatings From Chloride Sulphate Solutions

    Get PDF
The possibility of electrochemical obtaining of thin tellurium coatings from a chloride-sulfate electrolyte has been investigated. The studies have been carried out in solution containing (mol / l): 0.01 - 0.08 TeO 2 + 1.5H 2 SO 4 + 1.5HCl + 0.01 - 0.08 (NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 +1.0 gelatin. It has been found that with the increase in the concentration of HCl in the electrolyte from 0.5 mol/l to 4 mol/l, the cathodic deposition of tellurium accelerated, the polarization curves shifted in the positive direction. Experiments carried out in solutions containing chloride-sulfate ions show that in the initial stages of the cathodic process, chemical difficulties play the main role, and at negative potentials of the process, they are limited by diffusion polarization. At cathodic potentials up to 0.2 V, the process of tellurium electrodeposition from а chloride sulfate electrolyte is mainly accompanied by chemical polarization and effective activation energy at these potentials reaches up to 40 kJ / mol, and at a potential of 0.30–0.25 V, the process is controlled by mixed kinetics
