Epitope - based Peptide Vaccine Against Glycoprotein GPC Precursor of Lujo Virus using Immunoinformatics Approaches
Get PDFBackground: Lujo virus (LUJV) is a highly fatal human pathogen belonging to the Arenaviridae family. Lujo virus causes viral hemorrhagic fever (VHF). An In silico molecular docking was performed on the GPC domain of Lujo virus in complex with the first CUB domain of neuropilin-2.
The aim of this study is to predict an effective epitope-based vaccine against the glycoprotein GPC precursor of Lujo virususing immunoin formatics approaches.
Methods and Materials: A glycoprotein GPC precursor of Lujo virus Sequence was retrieved from NCBI. Different prediction tools were then used to analyze the nominee’s epitopes in BepiPred-2.0: Sequential B-Cell Epitope Predictor for B-cell, T-cell MHC class II & I. Later the proposed peptides were docked using the Auto dock 4.0 software program.
Results and Conclusions: The proposed and promising peptides FWYLNHTKL and YMFSVTLCI has shown a very strong binding affinity to MHC class I & IIalleles with high population coverage for the world, South Africa, and Sudan. This indicates a strong potential to formulate a new vaccine, especially with the peptide YMFSVTLCI which is likely to be the first proposed epitope-based vaccine against glycoprotein GPC of Lujo virus. This study recommends an in-vivo assessment for the most promising peptides especially FWYLNHTKL, YMFSVTLCI and LPCPKPHRLR
Emotions Interact with Empowering Leadership to Reduce Counterproductive Work Behaviour
Get PDFGetting a grasp of the psycho-affective processes and social anomie leading to counterproductive work behaviour (Fox & Spector, 2006) represents a major challenge for researchers and organisations. The Cameroonian context is characterised by widespread impoverishment, which incites some officials to divert the objectives of the prescribed work to their personal interest, with no regard to the damage caused to either the organisation or its members (Nyock Ilouga et al., 2018). This study examines the mediating role of emotions in the relationship between empowering leadership and counterproductive work behaviour. 156 civil servants of both sexes were selected to complete a questionnaire which includes both the Empowering Leadership Questionnaire (Arnold et al., 2000) and the Job Affective-relative Work questionnaire (Van Katwyk et al., 2000). Our results suggest that the emotions felt by employees mediate the effect of perceived empowering leadership on the counterproductive

Breast Cancer in Middle-Aged Women: A Literature Review
Get PDFMammary neoplasia consists of the disorderly proliferation of defective cells in the mammary ducts, resulting from several factors that drive their development in thetissue. The objectives of this work are: to verify the incidence of breast cancer in middle-aged women, and to identify possible risk factors for the onset of breast cancerin middle-aged women. An integrative literature review was carried out with searches in the Lilacs, Pubmed and Medline databases. The DeCS were used: “Breast Neoplasms”,“Middle-Aged Person”, “Risk Factors” and “Post-Menopause”, in Portuguese and English, crossing with the Boolean operators AND and OR. Inclusion criteria were:complete articles; published in Portuguese, English and Spanish, between the years 2018 and 2022, available in full and free of charge. The exclusion criteria were: non-pertinence to the theme. 122 articles were found, and 08 were selected to compose this study. It was identified that the main risk factors for the development of breast cancerare related to postmenopausal women, that is, women who are in middle age, are obesity and high estrogen production, alcoholism, history family and unhealthy eating patterns. It can be inferred that postmenopausal women linked to risk factors for the development of breast cancer need assistance based on health prevention, being therefore assisted by the nursing team, which should corroborate with the dissemination and encouragement mammography and breast self-examination for early detection of cancer

Get PDFThis article is a summary of the Anthropological Report of Historical, Economic, Environmental and Socio-Cultural Characterization elaborated in 2009 as an activity of the Basic Quilombola Environmental Program of the Transposition Project of the São Francisco River. The purpose of the report was to define the territory of the Community of Remnants of Quilombo de Santana, located in the municipality of Salgueiro - PE. The quilombola territory of Santana, in Salgueiro-PE, far from the headquarters of the municipality 22 kilometers is made up of 05 interlinked sites. Namely, they are: Santana, Jurema, Pottery, Recanto e Livramento. Approximately 66 families live in the territory. The present limits of the territory include the lands located between Umãs, Sites New, Boqueirão, Pau Ferro and Várzea do Ramo
