The results obtained here enabled the identification of the current state of publications on transmedia narratives, science communication, and museology, as well as their implementation in museums from Bogot� D.C. Publicity and Culture: the Audiovisual Advertisement for Polar Beer as a Micro-historical Feature and its Role as a Social Agent
No full textThis article proposes an analysis of advertising as a social phenomenon that has an active participation in the identity and cultural construction of societies. To this end, it suggests that the advertising text and its consequent effects should be discussed and studied under the bias of micro-historical clippings, by Ginzburg (1989), in interface with assumptions of Patrick Charaudeau\u27s semiolinguistics. To operationalize this theoretical exercise, we selected as an analysis corpus an audiovisual advertising piece of Polar Beer 2014, when it launched cans commemorating the World Cup held in Brazil. As a complementary theoretical contribution, authors of publicity such as Gastaldo (2013), Solomon (2002) e Barthes (2001) were mobilized, in addition to concepts of culture, Hall (1999), regional identity, and Jacks (2003). As partial results, concrete elements are demonstrated that the advertisements of regional character, by using values and characteristics of regional cultures in their communication contracts, can be understood as micro-historical cuttings that contribute to the understanding of the formation of culture
The Restoration of Modern Furniture by Karl Heinz Bergmiller for the Itamaraty Palace
Get PDFThis article seeks to contribute to the dissemination of the history of Brazilian design through the modern furniture developed by designer Karl Heinz Bergmiller, to compose the administrative environments of the Itamaraty Palace, in Bras�lia, in the 1960s and 1970s. Rescuing its history and memory, dialoguing with interface of design knowledge, education and its relationship with the preservation of Brazilian cultural heritage, aims to promote the democratization of access to movable cultural assets integrated into modernist architecture. Through a restoration project carried out by the Research Center in Modern Furniture of the Federal Institute of Bras�lia (IFB) Samambaia campus, through a Technical Cooperation Agreement between IFB and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and with the support of the University of Bras�lia (UnB), research was carried out on documents, drawings, photographs and production methods of the time. To this end, the IFB School of Modern Furniture Restoration Workshop, through a teaching, research and extension action in the thematic area of ??cultural heritage and recovery of movable cultural assets, recovered part of the Itamaraty Palace collection, signed by Karl Heinz Bergmiller

Get PDFBurns on the skin and their treatment have been considered a medical issue since ancient times. Approximately 90% of burns are of thermal origin, all of which involve tissue destruction. The depth and extent of the burn are important factors to consider when treating the injury. Frequently, the resulting wounds are impossible to close or suture primarily, necessitating coverings such as grafts to achieve a stable and durable solution. However, these burns and their grafts can lead to pathological scars, which can have negative consequences for the individual, both aesthetically and physiologically, as they can impair proper movement of the affected limb. These scars are characterized by excess collagen deposition, making the use of the enzyme collagenase, which degrades this protein, relevant. Pbserum is a treatment line based on high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA) and a novel recombinant enzymatic system composed of collagenase, lipase, and liase. We present a case of a patient post skin grafts for burns on the right lower limb treated with High pbserum enzymes. This enzymatic cocktail proved to be safe and effective and resulted in the satisfactory evolution of the patient from the first application. Its benefits were improvement in pigmentation and skin appearance, reduction of hypertrophic areas, and a more normal gait pattern, enabling a return to daily activities and significantly improving quality of life
