Situated Feminisms, Art, and New Technologies: A Study of the Aesthetic Technological Experiences of the Women\u27s Movement in Argentina (2013-2017)

Women have forged a dense relationship between politics and the creative intervention of public space. They\u27ve enabled new meanings and significations through diverse artistic practices aimed at denouncing violence and the conditions of women\u27s inequality within contemporary capitalism. These experiences have not only been formulated, thought through, and executed by women who self-identify as artists or communicators, but also by those who have learned to inhabit the political body in a counter-hegemonic way. What\u27s also called into question is the conception of canonized art, which relates to social events and takes forms differentiated from the traditional: installations (with applied technology or Artificial Intelligence), performances, sound poetry, contemporary dance, video art, among others (Cippollini, 2003). The intersections of art, technology, and politics are grounded in a feminist and disruptive reading of public intervention, not only as a possible stage but also in relation to bodily dissidences, images (e.g., the case of "Guerrilla Girls"), sounds, and words (Oliveras, 2011). In this triad, a new problem emerges related to the invisibilization of women\u27s marginal place in certain artistic branches. In this new transnational identity constitution (Bidaseca, 2011), cyborg (Haraway, 1995), and framed in terms of potentiality (Butler, 2015), new conditions of possibility are established for those desiring bodies to inhabit their territories, intervene in them, produce common, egalitarian meanings, and fight for rights within the very system of inequalities. A historical genealogical journey through Argentine feminisms (Bilbao, 2017 and 2019) allows for an understanding of other dimensions of the dominant conditions over practices and knowledge linked to art, technology, and communication. The so-called popular feminisms, connected to artistic practice, enter this threshold of new significations regarding the potentialities of differentiated bodies due to their class, gender, or ethnicity. Understanding the potentialities of an emancipatory movement in a particular historical moment shows why it constitutes an event (Lazzarato, 2006). From this, the paradigmatic singularities of creative strategies and aesthetic configurations linked to new technologies, contributed by feminisms situated around the various historical contingencies of women, emerge. The relations between gender studies, art, and politics in Argentina have a long and intense theoretical corpus and literature problematizing specific moments in social history, establishing particular links between these fields (Giunta, 2010, 2014; Gutirrez, 2008

    Organizational Triads

The article examines the behavioral aspects of the triad model of social organization. In addition to the pressure relationship in the behavior of triads, the support relationship is highlighted, which specifies some features of relations in society. A new concept of organizational triad is introduced, which better reflects in society. For this triad, the laws of its behavior are considered, which are formulated in the theorem on fixed points of the triad and the theorem on the convergence of the triad to fixed points. Some issues of triad decomposition are also considered. In conclusion, general conclusions on the materials of the article are discussed

Contract Faculty in Telangana Universities: Disparities in Recognition, Workload and Professional Development

This study investigates the disparities in recognition, benefits, teaching load, job security, and professional development opportunities experienced by contract faculty in Telangana universities. Despite their critical role in sustaining higher education, contract faculty often face systemic challenges not encountered by their tenure-track counterparts. The objective is to evaluate these inequities and propose actionable recommendations for fostering a more equitable and supportive academic environment. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from 211 contract faculty members across nine universities in Telangana, spanning disciplines such as Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities & Arts, and Engineering. A semi-structured questionnaire incorporating a five-point Likert scale was administered via Google Forms. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS, employing descriptive statistics, one- way ANOVA, and homogeneity tests to assess disparities. Findings reveal that 100% of respondents reported receiving no Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, or medical benefits. Additionally, 30.3% lacked leave benefits and only 21.8% had access to professional development opportunities. The mean score for recognition-related perceptions was 2.92 (SD=1.690), indicating low institutional acknowledgment. Teaching loads were reported as equal or higher than those of regular faculty, with 65 respondents indicating a very high workload. This study offers region-specific insights into the lived realities of contract faculty in Telangana, contributing to the discourse on academic equity in Indian higher education. The recommendations-enhancing recognition practices, ensuring equitable benefits, balancing workloads, improving job security and expanding professional development access- align with broader institutional reforms and aim to improve job satisfaction, retention, and the overall quality of education

Theoretical Foundations of Gen AI-informed Teacher Pedagogy

The integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) into educational pedagogy represents a transformative shift in the dynamics of teaching and learning. To guide this transition, this paper introduces the Ped-AI-gogy Informed Model (PIM), which combines established educational frameworks: the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the SAMR model, and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), into a cohesive approach for GenAI integration. This model provides a progressive pathway for educators, moving from initial awareness to active advocacy, while addressing the complexities of technology adoption, pedagogical change, and shifting educator-learner relationships. In addition, this paper develops the theoretical foundation of ped-AI-gogy, a concept that fuses pedagogy with AI to reimagine teaching practices in an increasingly digital landscape. By situating this integration within a posthumanist perspective, the authors advocate for a collaborative, symbiotic relationship among educators, students and GenAI tools. Finally, the paper critiques traditional human-centred educational paradigms and calls for adaptive learning models that harness GenAI potential to enhance both teaching and learner agenc

Stamp Tests of Loess Soil Samples in a Tray

For construction conditions, when it is necessary to determine the expected amount of subsidence of small-width structures on high-capacity loess bases having a soaking area larger than the area of the base of their foundation due to prolonged moistening by filtration flow, the compression compression model for determining relative subsidence becomes unacceptable. In addition, when determining the relative subsidence based on the results of compression tests, it is assumed that the soil of the loess base is deformed only in the vertical direction during moistening, while lateral deformations of the soil from the action of horizontal compacting stresses are not taken into account. However, as the results of comparing the calculations of many researchers of the expected subsidence with field data show, compression tests underestimate the additional deformations of structures that occur when their loess bases are moistened

Stereoscopic Tours in the Emperor\u27s Collection: The World in Third Dimension

This article focuses on the touristic stereoscopic images present in the photographs collection of Brazils Emperor, D. Pedro II. Firstly, we will present the concept of "stereoscopic tour" and its diffusion in nineteenth-century modernity. From the constitution of the Emperor\u27s Collection, we will address its importance for the construction of an ideal of nation and for the emperor\u27s image himself as a "monarch-citzen". Finally, we discuss the role occupied by tourist stereoscopies in the collection, their uses and functions and the possible relationships between them and the trips undertaken by this tropical monarch

Predicted Healthcare Demand and Health Inequalities among Brazilian Adult Population: A Propensity Score Weighted Approach

The aim is to analyse how specific socio-demographic and health factors influence healthcare demand, considering the socio-economic differences in Brazil\u27s adult population. The study focused on "expressed demand", i.e., individual\u27s need for healthcare services and their ability to seek care. Overall, the Brazilian adult population had a 22.1% probability of requiring medical care within two weeks before the survey. An increasing gradient was observed from the poorest to the wealthiest deciles, with the wealthiest group having a 40% higher healthcare demand than the poorest. The main predisposing, enabling and need factors analysed were relevant in determining healthcare demand; however, they are strongly influenced by income disparities. In the Brazilian context of a universal and free access healthcare system, there is still a significant gap in healthcare demand through income distribution to the detriment of the poorest groups. Future research should focus on the impact of private health insurance on healthcare demand and spending. Monitoring the impact of private health insurance on healthcare utilisation is essential to ensure that provider profits do not influence healthcare demand

Bilateral Thalamic Stroke in a Young Adult: A Rare Presentation of Artery of Percheron Infarction

Artery of Percheron (AOP) infarcts are rare ischemic strokes resulting from occlusion of a solitary arterial variant supplying the paramedian thalami and rostral midbrain. We present the case of a 26-year-old previously healthy female who presented with acute altered consciousness and vertical gaze palsy. MRI brain revealed symmetric bilateral thalamic diffusion restriction, consistent with AOP infarction. This case underscores the importance of considering this rare stroke subtype in young patients presenting with unexplained coma or altered mental status

Evaluating the Most Plausible Sm-Nd Isotopic Parameters for the Solar System/Planet Earth

These sets of isotopic parameters basically fall into two broad groups based on their values. The values of the parameters of various sets in each group are quite similar to each other but distinctly different from those of the other group. These parameters are also related to the Rb-Sr isotopic parameters because the latter are partly derived from the Sm-Nd isotopic parameters. As for instance but for the correlation between 87Sr/86Sr and 143Nd/144Nd ratios of recent oceanic basalts the present-day 87Sr/86Sr ratio couldnt be determined. So the most apt or plausible set of Sm-Nd isotopic parameters has to be not only internally consistent but also has to be consistent with the Rb-Sr isotopic parameters. In this paper I have shown how to distinguish internally consistent sets of Sm-Nd isotopic parameters and then how to pick up the one from those which is consistent with the Rb-Sr isotopic parameters as well. The one test of the internal consistency is that in which the measured present-day Nd isotope ratio matches very closely with the one computed from the other reference values. Then from the internally consistent sets, the one which is also consistent with the Rb-Sr isotopic parameters is considered to be the most plausible set of Sm-Nd isotopic parameters. The values of parameters are, 0.50677, 0.512636, and 0.1936 for the initial 143Nd/144Nd ratio, the present-day 143Nd/144Nd and the present-day 147Sm/144Nd ratios, respectively
