Digital Transformation refers to the process of developing new business models and strategies through the use of digital technologies. For businesses to gain a competitive advantage and enhance corporate efficiency, it is crucial to adapt to digitalization processes. Companies must measure their digital transformation activities and chart their digital transformation roadmaps to respond to this transformation. This study aims to develop a performance measurement system for identifying the digital transformation performance of companies in the manufacturing sector. In this context, the necessary criteria for implementing digital transformation and Industry 4.0 applications have been determined by considering the interactions between objects, people, and systems. The identified criteria are defined not only by utilizing advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics but also by incorporating human-centered factors such as organizational aspects and the willingness to change. The criteria were established and explained through a comprehensive literature review. By obtaining expert opinions, the importance weights of these criteria were calculated and weighted using the SWARA method. Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) was used to measure digital transformation performance. The developed model was tested on a case study, and company performances were compared
Development and Validation of a Scale Based on Protection Motivation Theory to Investigate Factors Affecting Earthquake Preparedness Behaviors
Given T & uuml;rkiye's high seismic risk, earthquake preparedness is vital. This study explored factors affecting earthquake preparedness behaviors among residents in high-risk areas. The factors affecting earthquake preparedness behaviors Scale based on protection motivation theory was developed, and its validity was tested. Scale development consists of a pilot and main application process. The pilot application was carried out with 50 participants, and the main application was carried out with 804 participants. The sample consisted of 804 participants who were divided into two groups for exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The sample was selected from 11 neighborhoods using the cluster sampling method. IBM SPSS 25 was used for exploratory factor analysis, while AMOS 24.0 was employed for confirmatory factor analysis. The final version of the scale consists of 24 items across four dimensions, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.883, exceeding the acceptable threshold of 0.7 for each dimension. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value is 0.898, and Bartlett's test of sphericity is significant, with the total variance explained being 51%. Confirmatory factor analysis results indicate a good fit for both the measurement and structural models (chi(2)/df = 1.779; RMSEA = 0.44; CFI = 0.96; NFI = 0.91; TLI = 0.95; p<0.001). Structural equation modeling showed that, among the constructs of protection motivation theory, perceived efficacy (beta = 0.690) is the most important factor affecting earthquake preparedness behaviors. The results show that the scale is a valid and reliable tool to determine the factors affecting earthquake preparedness behaviors in Turkish society

EXPLORING MICRO-TEACHING’S ROLE IN EFL TEACHERS’ SELF-EFFICACY: A RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS
This study aims to examine the assumed effects of micro-teaching applications on the self-efficacy beliefs of prospective English language teachers. As a section of an extended doctoral dissertation, a retrospective survey was administered to nine volunteer participants subsequent to micro-teaching applications performed during an academic semester. In this study, which was carried out in Hatay, the city most affected by the February 6, 2023 earthquake disaster, the originally planned class observations and interviews could not be carried out. Alternatively, a retrospective content analysis was applied to gain understanding of participants' professional growth experiences. As a result of the analysis, five main categories emerged: professional development, teacher qualifications, teaching materials, classroom management and teaching strategies. Within these, professional development appeared to be the most prominent theme, with participants highlighting notable improvements in teaching experience, self-assessment, and teaching confidence. Moreover, the findings revealed enhanced classroom management skills, increased design of materials for different age groups, and the ability to provide student engagement and motivation. Importantly, a large number of participants reported that the micro-teaching experience enabled the development of teacher identity and extended professional development. These results emphasize the educational value of microteaching, particularly in interrupted educational settings, and provide implications for improving teacher preparation programs by means of reflective practices.Note: This study was derived from the qualitative data of the researcher's doctoral thesis published at Çukurova University in 2025.Keywords: self-efficacy beliefs, micro-teaching, retrospective analysis, prospective teachers</p
Negative Bronchoscopy or Computed Tomography Radiation in Children with Suspected Foreign Body Aspiration? Pros and Cons
Background: The aim of this study was to analyse patients who underwent bronchoscopy for suspected foreign body aspiration (FBA) and to evaluate the properties of computed tomography (CT) in preventing unnecessary bronchoscopy, which carries the risk of serious complications. Methods: All patients younger than 18 years of age who were evaluated for FBA at a tertiary children's hospital between June 2014 and February 2023. Results: A total of 165 children were included in this study. In Group I (only bronchoscopy), the detection rate of FBA was 77.9%, whereas in Group II (CT +/- bronchoscopy), the detection rate of FBA was 93%. Additionally, the negative diagnosis rate in Group II (7%) was significantly higher compared to Group I (22.1%). Conclusions: Low-dose chest CT is a highly effective and reliable imaging method for the diagnosis of FBA due to its rapid performance, minimal radiation exposure, and high sensitivity and specificity; therefore, it can prevent unnecessary bronchoscopies in suspicious cases and increase the positive bronchoscopy rate
