The nonlinear effect of international tourism on income inequality: Testing the Kuznets curve hypothesis
The study aims to assess the impact of international tourism on income inequality in 67 developing countries on a global scale during the period from 2005 to 2022. The Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) estimate technique is used to estimate econometric models and provide new insights. Quantitative research results indicate that tourism exerts both linear and nonlinear effects on income inequality. Thus, tourism development serves as a mechanism for reducing inequality in developing countries, following an inverted U-shaped pattern. The study's results fill the current research gap and provide a clear answer to the debates in the scientific community when considering the impact of tourism on income inequality in line with the Kuznets curve hypothesis. Furthermore, the models are categorized to examine the influence of macroeconomic factors, internal factors, and international factors on the dependent variable separately, providing a more general frame of reference when studying the relationship between tourism development and income inequality in developing countries

This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research on bank liquidity creation, based on 215 Scopus-indexed publications. Using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix (in R), we systematically map the field’s structural evolution, core research themes, and emerging trends. Our results reveal a notable surge in scholarly output since 2015, with China, the USA, and the UK leading in research contributions. Thematic clustering confirms that liquidity creation remains the central theme, with interconnected research streams exploring its links to bank capital, financial stability, monetary policy, and risk exposure. Emerging topics such as fintech, ESG, climate risk, and institutional quality are also examined in their connection to bank liquidity creation, especially in emerging markets. Co-authorship and journal analysis further identify key scholars and publication sources that have shaped the field. By offering an updated knowledge structure and tracing evolving academic trends, this study contributes a valuable roadmap for future research on bank liquidity creation and its related dynamics
Exploring blockchain adoption intention in e-commerce through an extended TAM framework: Evidence from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Purpose: This study’s objective is to determine the behavior of consumers in HCMC in using blockchain in e-commerce.
Design: This study employs the Technology Application Model (TAM). The survey data were collected from 258 users of blockchain technology in e-commerce in HCMC, Vietnam, resulting in 233 valid samples. Use SEM, or structural equation modeling, to identify hypotheses.
Results: Traceability significantly affects both the perceived service quality and usefulness and boosts customer trust. On the other hand, cost savings and data privacy have a lesser impact. The ease of use has a substantial influence on usefulness, but a relatively minor direct impact on adoption intention. Notably, perceived service quality acts as a key mediator, positively influencing both usefulness and adoption of blockchain-based e-commerce platforms.
Research: The study only surveyed users in HCMC, excluding the results from users in other regions. Encourage future research to explore different areas and aspects.
Practical significance: The research results aim to enhance the system’s efficiency by reducing costs and improving traceability, while also providing a framework for management and development of methods to attract customers in e-commerce through blockchain technology.
Origins (uniqueness/value): This report is one of the outcomes of early experimental efforts to investigate the factors influencing users’ adoption of blockchain technology in e-commerce in HCMC. Research continues to contribute to the development of blockchain through its application in the field of e-commerce
On the predictors of governance and administration of the vegetable farmers’ association: A regression analysis
This research article aims to explain the governance and administration of farmers’ associations in increasing the vegetable production and to determine their influencing factors in Silago, Southern Leyte, Philippines. The study dealt with primary data gathered through a developed semi-structured research instrument in the form of a face-to-face interview. The collected data were summarized using descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis was employed to determine the relationship between the governance and administration of the farmers’ association. In addition, the predictors of governance and administration were determined with the aid of regression modeling. On average, vegetable farmers are “satisfied” with the governance and administration of the farmers’ association. In addition, governance is highly correlated with the administration, suggesting an equal importance in achieving the association’s goals. The regression analysis depicted that farmers with lower educational attainment tend to be satisfied with the association’s governance. Moreover, lower educational attainment, lower monthly income, and being a new farmer are significant factors affecting their perception of the administration of the farmers’ association. Conclusively, farmers’ knowledge, profitability, and experiences in vegetable farming are influenced by the governance and administration of the farmers’ association. Hence, the study recommends that the farmers’ association conduct relevant training and workshops, and provide extension services to improve farmers’ knowledge and practices in vegetable production, with strong governance and administration that cater to the needs of the farmers
Bioactive potentials of paraprobiotic kefir: Enhanced protein hydrolysis and anticancer efficacy
Recent research highlights paraprobiotics and postbiotics as viable alternatives to probiotics. This study examined kefir prepared with probiotics (Lacticaseibacillus casei 39) and paraprobiotics (autoclaved L. casei 39 cells), evaluating their physicochemical, microbiological, and bioactive properties. Paraprobiotic addition did not alter kefir composition. During 28-day storage, Lactobacillus spp. levels decreased in all kefirs but remained higher in probiotic kefir, maintaining L. casei 39 at 10⁸ CFU mL−1. Notably, paraprobiotic kefir exhibited the highest protein hydrolysis degree (76.8%) following in vitro gastrointestinal digestion (P < 0.05). SDS-PAGE analysis of paraprobiotic kefir showed more intense bands for casein and β-lactoglobulin. Although antioxidant activity was similar across samples, probiotic kefir exhibited the strongest α-glucosidase inhibition (P < 0.05). Notably, paraprobiotic kefir displayed the highest anticancer activity against HT29 colon cancer cells (P < 0.05). These results suggest paraprobiotics as effective functional food components, offering comparable or enhanced bioactivity, improved stability, and easier production than traditional probiotics

AVŞAR BOZLAĞI (KALKTI GÖÇ EYLEDİ AVŞAR ELLERİ) ÖZELİNDE MUHARREM ERTAŞ’IN SES İCRASININ ANALİZİ
