TitleUpward Feedback: Exploring learner perspectives on giving feedback to their teachers. SummaryFeedback from learners is known to be an important motivator for medical teachers, but it can be de-motivating if delivered poorly, leaving teachers frustrated and uncertain. Research has identified challenges learners face in providing upward feedback, but has not explored how challenges influence learners’ goals and approaches to giving feedback. This study explored learner perspectives on providing feedback to teachers to advance understanding of how to optimize upward feedback quality. The datafile, Study 3_Student Feedback to Teachers.nvpx, is an NVivo file containing interview transcripts with 16 medical student participants.<BR

Title Measuring social interdependence in collaborative learning: instrument development and validation Background In health professions education, several collaborative learning approaches have been used. As collaborative learning has a theoretical background of social interdependence theory, a theory informed and valid instrument to measure social interdependence is required to evaluate and compare several learning approaches. The aim of this study was to develop an instrument (the SOcial interdependence in Collaborative learning Scale; SOCS) to measure students’ perceived social interdependence in collaborative learning and validate it. Methods We conducted a modified Delphi procedure among stakeholders to develop the content validity of the instrument. To establish construct validity, we performed a confirmatory factor analysis, and we estimated reliability. Results Two rounds of Delphi were conducted to develop the instrument. Confirmatory factor analysis yielded a three-factor model with 15 items, which provided an excellent fit with CMIN/df = 1.838, GFI = 0.924, CFI = 0.951, RMSEA = 0.061, and PCLOSE = 0.121. Alpha-coefficients for all factors indicated high internal consistency of all the factors. ConclusionsThis study describes the development and construct validation of the SOCS for measuring social interdependence in collaborative learning. This instrument will provide teachers and schools with feedback about their classroom environment.Data The file includes the summary of Delphi process and data for factor analysis (in Japanese)

Personen met gebruik Wlz-zorg in natura

    No full text

Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V)

    No full text
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) is an IQ test for children 6-17 years of age to determine general intelligence. It generates a full scale IQ (formerly known as an intelligence quotient or IQ score) that represents a child's general intellectual ability. The most common primary index scores are the Verbal Comprehension Index, the Visual Spatial Index, the Fluid Reasoning Index, the Working Memory Index, and the Processing Speed Index. These indices represent a child's abilities in discrete cognitive domains. Five ancillary composite scores can be derived from various combinations of primary or primary and secondary subtests. Different versions may contain different sub tests
