Factors of Development of Hepatorenal Syndrome in Patients with Liver Cirrhosis of Viral Etiology
Hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) is a type of acute kidney injury (AKI), occurring in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis and is associated with high mortality. We aim to describe the predictors associated with the development of HRS in cirrhotic patients with AKI. We retrospectively analyzed 125 cirrhotic patient encounters with AKI across all Health institutions between 1 January 2019 and 31 December 2022. We performed multivariate analyses to determine independent predictors of development of HRS. Alcoholic cirrhosis was the most common identified etiology of cirrhosis. The mean Model for End-Stage Liver Disease Scorewas18 (±7). Ascites was the most commonly identified clinical feature of portal hypertension. Infection was identified in 38.4% of patients with urinary tract infection/pyelonephritis being the most common. Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis occurred in 5.9% of patients. The most common cause of AKI was pre-renal. Hepatorenal syndrome was identified in 9.8% of patient encounters. Predictors of HRS were history of ascites, serum creatinine >2.5 mg/dL, albumin <3 g/dL, bilirubin >2 mg/dL and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis. We demonstrate strong predictors for the development of HRS which can aid clinicians to attain an early diagnosis of HRS, leading to prompt and targeted management and improving outcome

Metal and pesticide residues levels accumulated in leafy vegetables and several fragrant medicinal plants in Baghdad Governorate / Iraq
The levels of some heavy metals (cadmium, lead, chromium) and pesticide residues (Malathion, Dimethoate, Profernofoes, PrimiohosMe) were estimated in some aromatic medicinal plants (chamomile, anise seeds, coriander, fennel) and leafy vegetables (cabbage, celery, grape leaves, and coriander, Mint, lettuce, spinach, and watercress) are commonly used and collected frm various markets. Organophosphorus pesticides have also been detected in some aromatic medicinal plants and leafy vegetables. Where, chamomile samples showed only Malathion, while in coriander malathion is 0.86 and Dimethoate have been detected in Anise seeds, profernofoes in chamomile were predominant, and leafy vegetables have also been detected some Organophosphorus pesticides in green mint Malathion, profernofoes is dominant, the findings showed that some heavy metals were present in some of the samples that were collected. Lead and chromium levels, as well as varying amounts of cadmium and chromium, were found in grape leaves in the majority of the samples that were examined. Samples of chamomile flowers had the greatest average amounts of cadmium and chromium, whereas samples of anise seeds had the highest levels of lead

Pathology in children with congenital cleft lip and palate.
In children with congenital cleft lip and palate (CCLP), under the influence of endogenous (hereditary) or exogenous (causing disruption of embryogenesis) factors, changes occur in various organs and systems of the body. The commonality of CGN with multiple organ pathologies in the body is explained by the presence of connective tissue dysplasia (CTD). The formation of the multifactorial nature of CGN is realized due to the genetic susceptibility of the organism to the action of externally damaging environmental factors in relation to the fetus. In 75% of children, CRHN is an isolated congenital defect, but it can be combined with other congenital defects. The data presented in the article may be useful for the development of preventive and therapeutic measures, in the prognosis and management of children with this pathology from an individual professional and family perspective
