The influence of the degree of activity of rheumatoid arthritis on the parameters of stable metabolites of nitric oxide

    Get PDF
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an immunoinflammatory disease characterized by progressive destruction of joints and damage to internal organs, which is based on disturbances in the humoral and cellular immune system [1,2]. In the absence of effective therapy, life expectancy in patients with RA is lower by 3 years in women and 7 years in men, primarily due to the high risk of developing comorbid diseases [5]

Preservation of fallopian tubes in ectopic pregnancy

    Get PDF
This study covers the application of laparoscopic partial tubal resection with end-to-end anastomosis can reduce the incidence of persistent ectopic pregnancy. In a normal pregnancy, the fertilised egg spends 4 to 5 days travelling down the fallopian tube before moving to the cavity of the uterus where it implants about 6 to 7 days after being fertilised. Most, but not all, ectopic pregnancies take place in the fallopian tube. Early detection of an ectopic pregnancy can prevent serious medical complications and may save the fallopian tube from permanent damage

Prevention of the Seasonal Spread of Arvi Among Early Children

Acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) are widespread infectious diseases, cause significant economic damage and therefore are not only a serious medical, but also the most important socio-economic problem for humanity. This group of diseases accounts for up to 90% of all infectious morbidity. Mostly children and people over 60 years of age fall ill - the so-called risk groups for the incidence of ARVI. Every adult suffers from influenza or other acute respiratory viral infections on average 2-4 times a year, a schoolchild - 4-5 times, a preschool child - 6 times, a child of the first year of life has from 2 to 12 episodes of acute respiratory viral infections. The polyetiology of ARVI pathogens and the variability of viruses involved in the epidemic process, complications after an illness, necessitate the search for new diagnostic methods and optimization of treatment and preventive measures. Modern approaches to the treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections of other etiologies are reduced to the use of complex drugs that combine antiviral, immunomodulatory, symptomatic and pathogenetic effects

to study the clinical course of a new coronavirus infection in the provision of specialized medical care to children in a hospital and post-mortem follow-up. Results: All patients had laboratory-confirmed infection with SARS-CoV-2 (the result of real-time PCR, specific for SARS-CoV-2, was positive). The patients were divided into severe patients, including 2 (4.6%) patients with severe cases on admission and 32 (74.4%) patients with moderate cases, hospitalization in the intensive care unit was not, the remaining cases 9 (21% ) the disease was mild. All sick children of COVID-19 were discharged with recovery. In the observed children of the course of COVID-19, an increase in body temperature was noted 88%, vomiting 58%, diarrhea 68%, cough 77%, shortness of breath 7%. Every fifth patient has pneumonia as the only symptom of the disease. In this case, in order to establish a diagnosis and timely prescribe therapy, it is necessary to conduct an X-ray examination of the chest cavity organs. In children, mild and moderate forms of the disease are predominantly found, and the possibility of radiological verification of pneumonia in a patient with good health is also revealed. Another striking characteristic of COVID-19 is that it affects several vital organs (for example, the lungs, the digestive tract and the nervous system), as evidenced by the clinical course of the disease

The investigation into the involvement of vitamin D in the pathogenesis and prevention of type 2 diabetes has garnered widespread scholarly attention. Notably, vitamin D receptors are discernible in pancreatic beta cells and immune cells. In addition to its established function as the primary regulator of calcium absorption, vitamin D exerts influence on the activity of calcium-associated endopeptidases in beta cells, facilitating the conversion of proinsulin to insulin and augmenting insulin production. Within peripheral insulin target tissues, vitamin D governs insulin action through the modulation of calcium homeostasis. Further, vitamin D exhibits pronounced immunosuppressive properties. Noteworthy is the potential implication of vitamin D deficiency in the etiology of type 2 diabetes, manifesting in the inhibition of insulin secretion and enhancement of glucose tolerance. The article underscores the imperative for comprehensive research and clinical trials elucidating the multifaceted roles of vitamin D and calcium in maintaining a robust physiological framework. Insightful findings from studies conducted in Uzbekistan and globally underscore a prevailing inadequacy in the dietary intake of calcium and vitamin D among diverse populations, taking into account geographical, ethnic, and physiological variances. Emphasis is placed on the critical significance of sustaining optimal levels of calcium and vitamin D for skeletal health, particularly in the context of osteoporosis prevention and treatment
