The Role of Metabolic Syndrome in The Nature of Postinfarction Remodeling of The Heart in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
Get PDFThe aim is to study of heart’s structure and hemodynamic indicators according to composition of metabolic syndrome components in the patient with chronic heart failure (CHF)functional class (FC) IIIII. 62 men-patient with cardiosclerosis after heart attack were examined by the way of echocardiography on CHF FC II-III (NYHA). According to metabolic syndrome components they are devided into 3 groups: 1 st group (n=20), patients without signs of metabolic syndrome; 2nd group (n=21) patients with combination of dyslipidemia (DLP), abdominal obesity (AO), arterial hypertenion (AG) and hypertriglyceridemia; 3rd group (n=21) with different combination of dyslipoproteinemia, diabetes and obesity also AG and hypertriglyceridemia. in CHF passed with metabolic syndrome is seen a clear sign of heart’s systolic and diastolic.the presence of metabolic syndrome in CHF also its progressing is the subject to be hypertrophy of left ventricle, breaking the transmitral blood flow, also thickening of barier between ventricles and left ventricle back thicknes
Studying the C174g Polymorphism of The Il6 Gene in the Formation of Diabetic Foot Syndrome in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus
Get PDFThe criteria for risk stratification of the formation of diabetic foot syndrome in patients with diabetes mellitus based on the carriage of the interleukin 6 gene were studied. The clinical group included 96 patients aged 40 to 75 years with diabetes mellitus complicated by diabetic foot syndrome. The control group consisted of 83 healthy individuals. The results obtained by the authors demonstrate that the presence of the C/G genotype of the C174G polymorphism of the IL6 gene has a clear correlation with predisposition to the development of diabetic foot syndrome. Assessment of Clinical, Biochemical and Hormonal Aspects of Women of Fertile Age with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Inadequate assessment of the menstrual cycle without taking into account modern characteristics of the normal menstrual cycle leads to overdiagnosis and, as a result, the appointment of unnecessary therapy. The incidence of PCOS among women of young fertile age with menstrual disorders was 49.5%. Clinical hyperandrogenism of varying severity was detected in all patients with PCOS. The use of microdosed COCs containing drospirenone in the treatment of PCOS in 93% of cases reduces the severity of clinical hyperandrogenism, normalizes the menstrual cycle and improves anxiety indicators by 16.5

Get PDFCOVID-19 (from the English Coronavirus disease 2019) is a new epidemic infectious disease characterized by a relatively high contagiousness and the likelihood of developing life-threatening complications in the form of acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute respiratory and multiple organ failure. a retrospective analysis of the incidence, clinical course and treatment of children with COVID-19 who were treated in a specialized hospital for the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection. We conducted a retrospective analysis of the case histories of 86 children of various ages who were hospitalized with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in September-November 2020. There were 51 (%) boys, 34 (%) girls. Depending on age, patients were divided into 4 groups: up to 1 year - 7 (%), from 1 year to 6 years - 27 (%), from 7 to 12 years - 26 (%) and over 12 years - 26 (% ). Studies have shown that children with mild COVID-19 were treated on an outpatient basis and therefore were not included in the surveyed group. Children with moderate and severe forms of COVID-19 received inpatient treatment, and in our study, patients with moderate course - 57 (66.3%), and a severe course was noted in 29 (33.7%) children
Surgical Treatment of Plantar Fasciitis After failure of Conservative Treatment
Get PDFPlantar fasciitis is a common problem faced almost daily in our orthopedic clinic, and it is not easy to satisfy patients with a curative treatment in a short period of time; it is characterized by deep pain in the plantar aspect of the heel, particularly on arising from bed, although the pain often subsides after few steps, in some patients the pain will persist for a long period. Aim of the study: To evaluate the result of surgical treatment in cases of plantar fasciitis which are not respond to conservative treatment. Methods: Prospective study was conducted at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery in Al-Kadhemiyah Teaching Hospital from November 2010 to May 2012 to evaluate 50 patients com¬plaining of inferior heel pain. There were 30 females and 20 males; the main presenting symptoms were pain on the inferno-medial aspect of the heel exacerbating by prolongs weight-bearing and in the morning following sleep. The age of the patients is 23-58 years. Bilateral heel pain presented in 10 patients in our series; therefore, the overall number of heels treated in our series was 60 heels. All of the patients were treated first conservatively by rest, anti-inflammatory drugs, and local corticosteroid injection. 13 patients showed no response, so we advised them for surgery; 12 patients out of 13 accepted surgery and were treated by plantar fascial release. Patients with systemic diseases had been excluded from our study. Results: Regarding treatment, 37 patients (74%) respond to conservative treatment, while 13 patients (26%) had no response to conservative treatment. Therefore they were advised to undergo surgery, and 12 of them accepted surgery. Nine patients (75%) undergoing surgery had a good result (pain-free) 17% of patients undergoing surgery in our study showed fair results (pain after heavy exercise), while 8% showed poor results (persistent pain). Per-operative drilling of calcaneum showed to be effective in post-operative heel pain relieve, which may be due to reduced intra-osseous pressure. Regarding complications, 6% showed superficial wound infection, which was treated conservatively by rest and antibiotics for seven days.
