Radiological Aspects of Temporo-Mandibular Joint Osteoarthritis

    Get PDF
This article is about applications of computed tomography (CT) in diagnosis of inflammatory and degenerative disease of temporomandibular joint (TMJ). CT is highly informative method forvisualization of disease of temporomandibular joint. Finally, sections on other aspects of CT research related to the TMJ, clinical decision-making and concluding remarks are added. However, it should be emphasized that the diagnostic information obtained is limited to the morphology of the osseous joint components, cortical bone integrity and subcortical bonedestruction/production. Author of this research studied the frequency of radiological signs in different age group. In addition, there were studied frequency of isolated, combination types, and more and less localization sitesof radiological patterns of inflammatory and degenerative changes of temporo-mandibular join

Hygienic Assessment Of The Class Of Working Conditions According To The Chemical Factor In The Production Of Polyethylene Products

    Get PDF
This article contains a class of working conditions according to sanitary rules and regulations No. 0141-03 “The severity and intensity of the labor process in a production environment, hygienic classification of indicators of harmfulness and danger of working conditions” and the determination of the summation coefficient

    Nutrition Features of Student-Athletes

    Get PDF
The article presents an analysis of the nutrient composition of the diet of student-athletes. 22 students of different levels of sports qualifications took part in the study. Analysis of the survey showed a problem caused by the fact that among respondents there is an understanding of the biochemical essence of sports nutrition (in theory), but it is rarely used by studentathletes in practic

Laboratory Diagnosis Of Kidney Diseases And Frequency Of Meeting

    Get PDF
Kidney stones are a common disorder, with an annual incidence of eight cases per 1,000 adults. During an episode of renal colic, the first priority is to rule out conditions requiring immediate referral to an emergency department, then to alleviate pain, preferably with a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The diagnostic workup consists of urinalysis, urine culture, and imaging to confirm the diagnosis and assess for conditions requiring active stone removal, such as urinary infection or a stone larger than 10 mm. Conservative management consists of pain control, medical expulsive therapy with an alpha blocker, and follow-up imaging within 14 days to monitor stone position and assess for hydronephrosis. Asymptomatic kidney stones should be followed with serial imaging, and should be removed in case of growth, symptoms, urinary obstruction, recurrent infections, or lack of access to health care. All patients with kidney stones should be screened for risk of stone recurrence with medical history, basic laboratory evaluation, and imaging. Lifestyle modifications such as increased fluid intake should be recommended for all patients, and thiazide diuretics, allopurinol, or citrates should be prescribed for patients with recurrent calcium stones. Patients at high risk of stone recurrence should be referred for additional metabolic assessment, which can serve as a basis for tailored preventive measure

Morphological status of the liver of offspring born from mothers with toxic liver lesions

    Get PDF
Chronic toxic damage to the mother's liver negatively affects the processes of postnatal development and the formation of the offspring's liver. In the vascular-tissue structures of the liver of the offspring in the early periods of postnatal development, inflammatory-reactive and dystrophic changes are observed. These morphological changes in the liver of the offspring subsequently led to a slowdown and lag in the rate of growth and development and formation of the vascular-tissue structures of the liver of the offspring, compared to the offspring of control intact animals

Certain Biochemistry Of Blood In Toxic Hepatitis(Alt, Ast, Alkaline Phosphatase And Total Protein Amount) Determination Of The Effect Of Polyphenols

    Get PDF
Total protein, alkaline phosphatase, AST, ALT were determined by the Cypress Diagnostica (Belgium) test kit to evaluate the hepatoprotective activity in the serum of experimental toxic hepatitis model rats treated with polyphenol compounds. Blood was collected from animals, centrifuged at 3000 revolutions/min for 12 minutes, serum was separated and biochemical indicators studie

Scientific views of world linguists on terms of craft

    Get PDF
This article presents an overview of the scientific perspectives among world linguists on the terms of craft. It explores how linguists understand and analyze the terminology used in craft. Through empirical studies and theoretical frameworks, linguists examine the evolution, cultural aspects, and specialized usage of terms in this domain. Furthermore, this article delves into the impact of terminology on communication, cognitive processing, and translation. By shedding light on the linguistic examination of terms of craft, this article contributes to understanding how language shapes and influences various professional disciplines

Using empirical evidence generated by Holt’s linear method to inform HIV programming in Brazil

    Get PDF
This study uses annual time series data of HIV prevalence among individuals aged 15-49 years for Brazil from 1990 to 2020 to predict future trends of HIV prevalence over the period 2021 to 2030. The study utilizes Holt’s linear method (HLM). The optimal values of smoothing constants α and β are 0.4 and 0.1 respectively based on minimum MSE. The results of the study indicate that annual HIV prevalence among individuals aged 15-49 years will generally maintain an upward trend over the out of sample period. Therefore, we encourage authorities to scale up educational campaigns among the sexually active age group with particular emphasis on HIV prevention strategies such as correct and consistent use of condoms, behavior change, PrEP and voluntary medical male circumcision

Detecting future trends of HIV Prevalence among individuals aged 15-49 years in Belarus using Holt’s double exponential smoothing technique

    Get PDF
This study uses annual time series data of HIV Prevalence among individuals aged 15-49 years for Belarus from 1990 to 2020 to predict future trends of HIV prevalence over the period 2021 to 2030. The study utilizes Holt’s double exponential smoothing model. The optimal values of smoothing constants α and β are 0.8 and 0.1 respectively based on minimum MSE. The results of the study indicate that annual HIV prevalence among individuals aged 15-49 years will continue on an upward trend over the out of sample period. Therefore, we encourage authorities to strengthen HIV prevention strategies which include behavior change interventions, correct and consistent use of condoms, pre-exposure prophylaxis for high risk groups, post exposure prophylaxis and voluntary medical circumcision among other WHO recommended strategies

Self-Oscillations Of Current In Silicon: Physical Principles, Mechanisms And Application

    Get PDF
The article discusses self-oscillatory processes in silicon semiconductor devices, such as diodes and transistors, based on nonlinear effects of interaction of electric current and voltage. Particular attention is paid to the physical mechanisms of selfoscillations, including avalanche breakdown, thermal and electrical feedback, as well as their impact on the operation of silicon devices. Examples of the application of selfoscillatory modes in high-frequency signal generators and radio engineering devices are given. Methods for eliminating unwanted oscillations to ensure stable operation of circuits are also discusse
