A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF FLAT FEET IN CHILDREN

    No full text
Relevance: Flatfoot is a common orthopedic pathology in children (30–60%), leading to biomechanical disorders, pain syndrome, and postural changes. Traditional treatment methods are not always effective, and the biochemical mechanisms of pathogenesis remain insufficiently studied. Objective: To develop and substantiate a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment method for flatfoot in children, considering biochemical changes in connective tissue. Method’s of research: A total of 88 children (aged 1–14 years) with varying degrees of flatfoot were examined. Clinical, radiological, and podometric assessments were performed, along with the analysis of glycosaminoglycan and oxyproline levels. Traditional and experimental treatment methods were compared. Results’ of research: Flatfoot of grade II was identified in 52.3% of children, grade I in 26.1%, and grade III in 22.7%. Elevated glycosaminoglycan and oxyproline levels were observed, which decreased by 39.2–72.9% after treatment. Clinical and functional improvements were noted in 66% of patients, which is 30% higher compared to traditional treatment. Conclusion: A comprehensive therapy approach, including biochemical correction, physiotherapy, and orthopedic support, significantly enhances treatment efficacy and reduces the risk of recurrence

EFFECTIVENESS OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE TREATMENTS IN OSTEOARTHRITIS OF THE KNEE JOINT

    No full text
This review delves into the effectiveness of folk remedies for treating knee osteoarthritis (KOA), a prevalent degenerative joint disease that significantly impairs quality of life, particularly among the elderly. The piece discusses various risk factors associated with KOA, including age, obesity, diet, and genetic predisposition. It highlights contemporary pharmacological approaches and traditional remedies, particularly those rooted in Chinese and Iranian medical practices. The review emphasizes the role of traditional herbal treatments, moxibustion, and acupuncture, exploring their potential efficacy and safety profiles. It further contextualizes these remedies against the backdrop of increasing concerns regarding the side effects associated with conventional pharmacological approaches, such as NSAIDs and corticosteroids, which can lead to complications over long-term use. Moreover, it addresses the importance of conducting rigorous scientific evaluations of these folk remedies through systematic reviews and controlled trials to establish their effectiveness and inform clinical practice. By balancing the historical use of traditional medicine with modern research methodologies, this paper aims to bridge the gap between folk remedies and contemporary medical practices, offering hope for improved management strategies for knee osteoarthritis patients

ASSESSMENT OF RISK FACTORS AND EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF ENDOMETRIAL HYPERPLASIA IN PERIMENOPAUSAL WOMEN

    No full text
Endometrial hyperplasia is an important problem of reproductive health of women in perimenopause, as hormonal changes characteristic of this period increase the risk of its development. The main risk factors are hormonal imbalance, obesity, diabetes, hypertension and hereditary predisposition. The most important diagnostic methods are ultrasound, hysteroscopy with biopsy and molecular genetic testing, which allows for timely detection of pathologies and prevention of their progression. Early detection and timely correction of hormonal levels, as well as prevention of obesity and control of chronic diseases are key measures for the prevention of endometrial hyperplasia and its complications, such as endometrial cancer

ARTHROSCOPIC BICEPS TENODESIS FOR TRAUMATIC RUPTURE OF THE LONG HEAD OF THE BICEPS: CLINICAL OUTCOMES AND SURGICAL CONSIDERATIONS

    No full text
Traumatic rupture of the long head of the biceps (LHB) tendon is increasingly recognized in younger and active individuals. Arthroscopic tenodesis has emerged as a preferred technique over tenotomy due to its ability to preserve muscle contour, restore function, and reduce cosmetic and functional complications. This study investigates the clinical outcomes of arthroscopic suprapectoral biceps tenodesis in traumatic LHB ruptures. Functional scores, strength recovery, and patient satisfaction were assessed. Our results confirm that arthroscopic tenodesis provides superior outcomes compared to historical tenotomy data, supporting its use as a first-line surgical treatment in this population

    No full text
The article presents clinical and laboratory data of the examined patients. 120 patients were under observation. Main group I included 61 patients suffering from liver cirrhosis of viral etiology with SBP, main group II included 59 patients with liver cirrhosis. As a control, 30 practically healthy people were also examined. In all patients with SBP (Group 1) at the stage of decompensation of liver cirrhosis of viral etiology, the level of PCT was significantly higher by 10 times, amounting to 0.88±0.04, compared with patients with uncomplicated SBP (Group 2), in which is equal to 0.08±0.02 (p=0.05). It was found that the level of CRP in the 1st group was 32.4±8.23 and increased by 3.75 times (p=0.05) compared with the 2nd grou
