Dataset used for preparing Bremen 2024 International Cotton Conference presentation: ‘Stickiness and fiber characteristics related to fiber processing efficiency and yarn quality'
This table of results has been used for preparing and documenting the statistical analysis that were described in the document ‘Stickiness and fiber characteristics related to fiber processing efficiency and yarn quality’ presented in the Bremen International Cotton Conference 2024. All results were obtained during microspinning experiments using cottons covering a range of fiber characteristics and of stickiness levels. The goal was to determine if possible combined incidences between fiber characteristics and stickiness could be used in predicting spinning productivity and yarn quality of cotton based on various fiber characteristics and stickiness levels

This deposit contains a computing platform and its accessories to aggregate data (raw, regressed with linear and polynomial equations) and use it for making several things: charting data, computing the data, makes two ways/methods of simulations and display their results. The application of this platform is single cotton fibers force vs elongation spectra (obtained on MANTIS instrument) in order to predict/simulate their behavior in bundles of parallel fibers breaking conditions. This platform may also be used with single-fiber test data that comes from other instruments

The Oriental fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis), one of the world's most invasive and polyphagous pests of fruits, was detected in Mayotte in 2007. In order to identify its impact on the island, its host range and interactions with other resident species were assessed during two field campaigns from 2012 to 2014 and from 2019 to 2021. We collected fruits all across the island, in cultivated and non-cultivated areas and compared the infestation rates between the two periods.
