    TropGene Citrus

The data come from the TropGeneDB CIRAD information system (https://tropgenedb.cirad.fr/tropgene/JSP/index.jsp). TropGeneDB contains data from studies on tropical and mediterranean plants for various kinds of topics such as marker, QTL, genotype, genetic, phenotype, cartography (genetic, physical and linkage disequilibrium maps), linkage disequilibrium, association and germplasm. The plants concerned are banana, breadfruit, citrus, cocoa, coconut palm, cotton, oil palm, rice, rubber, sorghum and sugarcane. The IS has a database per plant. The data were produced by CIRAD researchers or by CIRAD researchers and colleagues associated in research projects. All The data have been published. The CITRUS data in this dataset produced in 2012 were extracted from the TROPGENE_CITRUS database in tabulated text format files. There is a file for each type of data which name includes the data type. Each line of a file has several columns describing the study (title, description, year, country, place, contact) it belongs to. The tropgene_citrus_references‧txt file contains the references of the scientific publications on these data

Understanding antimicrobial resistance policies implementation in Vietnam

    No full text
Reducing antibiotic use in livestock production has been a target for national action plans worldwide. The Vietnamese livestock plan issued in 2017 has, among other objectives, strengthened the regulatory framework for antibiotic use and has adopted new regulations. This study explores the level of understanding, acceptance, and application of these regulations among veterinary drug value chain stakeholders. An iterative stakeholder mapping and analysis of the veterinary drug value chain was conducted in north and south Vietnam. We conducted a focus group discussion and 39 semi-structured interviews with stakeholders of the veterinary drug value chain. We identified 10 factors that could influence the implementation of the new regulations. This dataset include 9/35 transcripts of the interviews for which it has been possible to de-identified totally the transcript. Supplementary materials included: 1: Guide for focus group discussion 2: Guide for semi-structured interviews 3: Classification of stakeholders 4: Factors influencing the implementation of new regulation

Weed diversity and floral potential in olive groves from a French Mediterranean region

    No full text
The data set describes the weed species diversity and abundance, floral quantity and traits in 16 olive groves along a pedoclimatic gradient in the French Mediterranean region (Occitanie) at seven dates from September 2021 to June 2022. Floral traits related to pollinator attraction and rewards were measured at the species level in a greenhouse experiment in 2022 (n=22). The data set includes a detailed description of pedoclimatic conditions and agricultural practices of all the surveyed fields

Martinique daily interpolated rainfall, 1980-2021, obtained via UKED

    No full text
Description: This dataset provides daily interpolated rainfall maps for Martinique island, for the period 1980-2021, at 0.001° resolution, derived from daily rain gauge data observations. Dataset Preparation Methods: These maps were obtained by performing interpolation from daily rain gauge data (Martinique ORSTOM-DIREN dataset v1 (doi:10.5281/zenodo.10263910), using universal kriging with external drift from a digital elevation model, with fitting of Exponential variogram models. Resolution of interpolation is 0.001°. The daily results were assembled into yearly netCDF files. Funding: This project did not receive any funding. Authors Contributions: - Data treatment: Jérémy Lavarenne - Documentation: Jérémy Lavarenne Changelog: - v1 : initial submission</p

Video of rusty-spotted genets consuming bats and other prey: behaviors observed and eco-epidemiological considerations

    No full text
We present the first videos of consumption of bat or rodent by rusty-spotted genet (Genetta maculata) inside a cave in the Republic of Congo. Following the implementation of a camera-trap monitoring protocol of interactions between cave bats and wildlife, we identified important genet activity in one of the caves in our study. Between 2022 and 2023, we recorded four events of bats or rodents’ consumption (including two with certainty on bats), one hunting behavior on bats and three feeding behaviors on insects. We detail the various behaviors and then discuss the potential implications of genets consuming bats, rodents and insects, and in particular scavenging on dead bats. Finally, we address the potential implications of zoonotic pathogen transmission from bats transmitted by genets to humans via the bushmeat trade. This link leads to the following videos: Video 1: 4842 – Inside Boundou Cave; 4 June, 2022 at 05:45 pm; Consumption of a bat or rodent; Ignore the date in the video, the camera had the wrong date. Video 2: 8270 – Inside Boundou Cave; 27 January, 2023 at 03:44 am; Consumption of a bat or rodent. Video S1: 5058 – Inside Boundou Cave; 19 June, 2022 at 05:26 am; Consumption of a bat; Not clear whether the bat was killed or found dead. Video S2: 6118 – Inside Boundou Cave; 7 September, 2022 at 03:55 am; Consumption of a bat; Not clear whether the bat was killed or found dead. Video 3: 2845 – Outside Boundou Cave; 26 January 2021 at 06:03 am; Hunting behavior towards bats flying around the genet; The rock where the genet sits is located at the exit of the cave. Video 4: 4819 – Outside Boundou Cave; 20 May, 2022 at 03:11 am; Predatory behavior on ground insects in the leaf litter outside the cave; Several bats flying around, but genet not paying attention. Video 5: 8144 – Inside Boundou Cave; 17 January, 2023 at 04:35 am; Predatory behavior on ground insects in the guano litter inside the cave; Lots of beetles on the ground ;Several bats flying around, but genet not paying attention. Video 6: 8378 – Inside Boundou Cave; 3 February, 2023 at 03:15 am; Predatory behavior on insects in the guano litter inside the cave; Very dark vide
