Systematic mRNA interactome analysis reconceptualizes translational quiescence in bovine sperm
This dataset consists of four independent mass spectrometry studies:
1. Identification of translation machinery in bovine sperm proteome by mass spectrometry (four biological replicates)
2. Investigating bovine sperm proteome for differential protein expression during in vitro capacitation (three biological replicates)
3. Investigating bovine sperm phosphoproteome during in-vitro capacitation (three biological replicates)
4. Identifying mRNA interactome during bovine sperm capacitation using RNA antisense purification coupled with mass spectrometry (RAP-MS) (three biological replicates
TikTok Tradwives
We employed a hashtag-based sampling strategy using the hashtag #tradwife on TikTok. The web-browser plugin Zeeschuimer was used to automatically record TikTok video metadata through the platform’s desktop interface. This dataset was then imported into 4CAT, a social media data collection and analysis tool for data pre-processing. After eliminating duplicate videos with identical identification codes, a sample of 871 TikTok videos remained. This sample contained videos published between April 4, 2020, and May 23, 2024

Historical Canadian Persons
Information from the Dictionary of Canadian Biography was selectively augmented from other resources including Wikidata and scholarly sources to provide fundamental information about individuals and their families, such as marital status, occupation, residence, and gender. Unnamed individuals are included with labels such as “A Free Black mother.” Place names are geolocated. A small selection of links to digitized Canadian census records and fonds published by Library and Archives Canada are included. The data includes links to the sections of the Dictionary of Canadian Biography entries from which the set of individuals covered in the datasets and the primary assertions about them were derived.Although the team devised a preliminary model for nationality aligned with other LINCS data, in the end designations related to individuals’ nationality, national origin and ethnicity were not carried over from the source. The team lacked decolonized vocabularies against which to map terms for First Nations, Inuit and Métis people, and was wary both of perpetuating colonial terminology and of omitting such designations solely for Indigenous people.Creators and Contributors

Supplemental data for: Different urban heat mitigation strategies are optimal day versus night and for distinct synoptic weather types
The urbanized Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model is applied to assess the dependence of heat mitigation cooling efficacy in Toronto, Canada during daytime versus nighttime as a function weather type and local built structure and cover. This dataset includes the input and parameter files needed to run all Weather Research & Forecasting (WRF) simulations for the Hesse et al. (2025) publication
Smart Triage: Environmental Scan Data
Dataset Description: This dataset contains materials from a sub-study within the Smart Triage program of research. Materials include the Environmental Scan data collected at St. Joseph's Hospital Kitovu and Uganda Martyrs' Hospital Ibanda in Uganda and an executive summary of the reported findings. See the Metadata section below for links to related publications and datasets.
Background: Children under-5 years of age account for both the greatest burden of Sepsis/Severe infection cases (41.5%) and Sepsis/Severe infection-related deaths (26.4%) word-wide. For children recovering from Sepsis/Severe infection, post discharge and in-hospital mortality have been shown to be equal from studies in Western Uganda. Many of these deaths are related to poor quality of care, including delays in care. Currently, there is an imminent need to improve the existing processes and procedures in Ugandan health facilities for prioritizing children in need of urgent care upon admission (i.e., triaging), or facilitating the hospital to home transition following discharge. As such, each facility conducts its pediatric care basing on procedures determined either through experience or what is convenient to the pediatric clinician.
Methods: This study seeks to evaluate the typical pediatric care process in Ugandan hospitals using the UCMB hospital network as our sample. A cross-sectional quantitative study was conducted at hospitals within the UCMB network. Each site underwent a facility environmental scan comprised of 4 modules: 1) survey of the hospital infrastructure and resources; 2) observation of care processes; 3) health worker perspectives questionnaire; and 4) caregiver perspectives questionnaire.
Due to several factors including resource constraints and the timeline provided by funders, the full Environmental Scan was limited to 4 facilities. Based on the preliminary Environmental Scan results, the Smart Triage + QI program was implemented at 2 facilities in 2022: Uganda Martyrs Ibanda Hospital and St. Joseph’s Kitovu Hospital. The Environmental Scan was repeated after the implementation of the Smart Triage + QI program at these two facilities.
Ethics Declaration: This study was approved by the Makerere School of Public Health in Uganda (902) and the Uganda National Institute of Science and Technology (HS1227ES).
