This data and programs replicate tables and figures from "VancUber: The long-run effect of ride-hailing on public transportation, congestion, and traffic fatalities" by Cairncross, Hall, and Palsson. Please see the ReadMe file for additional details
Heuristic Deficits and Clinical Decision Making
Premise: That heuristic or System 1 Thinking is a crucial skill in primary care and that some clinicians demonstrate a Heuristics Deficit (HD), which can seriously affect their fitness for practice
Deciphering Petrogenetic Histories of Polymict Regolith Breccias from the Moon, Mars, and 4 Vesta - NWA 14340 Data Archive
Collection of research observations and data discussed in thesis "Deciphering Petrogenetic Histories of Polymict Regolith Breccias from the Moon, Mars, and 4 Vesta". Datasets include SEM images, thin section microscopic images, EDS maps, EPMA maps and composition tables, and Raman spectra images acquired from the lunar meteorite NWA 14340
Replication Data for Associations between elevation, introduced red squirrels, and boreal bird distributions on Newfoundland
Elevational gradients in boreal forest songbird assemblages have received limited attention but may have important conservation implications in the face of climate-change induced habitat alteration and shifts in predator communities. Our objectives were (1) to examine the role that elevation plays in the distribution of individual species, (2) to identify bird species for which occupancy rate was correlated with squirrel probability of occurrence, and (3) to investigate the influence of elevation and red squirrel occurrence on the species richness of different nesting guilds. We completed 1,960 point count surveys for birds and red squirrels over two years across a 257 km2 study area in western Newfoundland, Canada, that spanned southern boreal to northern boreal bioclimatic zones (75-610 m elevation)
Mehri debate poem
A video and an audio recording of a Mehri debate poem. Both recordings contain more than one poem. The video recording is accompanied by a transliterated and translated ELAN annotation file. The poem is the subject of the forthcoming article: S. al-Qumairi, J.C.E. Watson & M.J. Morris. 2025. The Crow and the Frankincense Harvester: A Mehri Debate Poem. In L. Kogan and M. April 2023 Ice Storm in Montreal
This dataset contains meteorological and observational data related to the high-impact ice storm that affected southern Quebec on April 5-6, 2023. The storm produced up to 40 mm of freezing rain and ice pellets, the highest accumulation since the historic 1998 Ice Storm. It caused significant infrastructure damage, particularly in Montreal, where over 800 trees were damaged, leading to power outages lasting several days.
This dataset was created to support a study aimed at understanding the factors that contributed to this unusually large and rapid ice accumulation, including the physical and meteorological processes at different spatial and temporal scales
Dataset for Supplemental Tables for a manuscript submitted to Molecular and Cellular Biology
This dataset consists of three Excel sheets comprising of the processed data for the supplemental data in the manuscript submitted to Molecular and Cellular Biology. The dataset consists of results of IP-MS and Bicistronic Reporter Assays. This dataset also consists of a text file to consolidate all the information of the excel sheets provided
Decolonizing Educational Environments: An Analysis of Experiences Shared by Educators in The National Capital Region
Five volunteer teacher participants from Ottawa, Ontario, met over zoom individually and answered five guiding questions about decolonizing their personal educational environment. The participants self identified as white/Caucasian, Canadian born, between the ages of 22 and 65, and teaching in an intermediate-senior educational environment. Three participants were men and three were women. Four participants worked at either the Catholic school board (OCSB) or the Public School Board (OCDSB) and one worked for a private school that was OSSD accredited. Participants were recruited through bilingual digital outreach through Meta Business with specific parameters set. Using a qualitative, narrative-based methodology the interview transcripts were collected for analysis through Zoom live translation. Thematic coding was applied by hand to the transcripts to identify recurring patterns in the decolonization process
