The ten external organs are called the objects of the three internal organs. The external organs function in the present, and the internal organs function at all three times (past, present, and future)
The Wisdom Library uses the IAST method of transliteration of Saṇskṛta
Saṇskṛta has several methods of converting the original Devanāgarī spelling into the basic Latin alphabet that we use in English. This conversion is called transliteration. The main methods of transliteration include IAST, iTRANS, and Harvard-Kyoto. Early in the history of Babaji being in the USA, Ma Renu modified IAST to make it easier for native English speakers to read and pronounce Saṇskṛta. Many of the early Satsaṅga documents include this modified IAST transliteration. All spellings of any Saṇskṛta word will return items even though the original search was using an alternate spelling.
IAST is not used in the Headers or links of Communities, Sub Communities, or Collections
IAST is used in the body copy of the page description.
The Devanagari of the word will be in the Dictionary (Glossary) only

The subtle body is produced at the beginning of creation, is unconfined, constant, and composed of [the tattvas beginning with] mahat and ending with the tanmātras. It transmigrates, is devoid of experience, and is tinged with disposition

Of these [ten external senses/organs], the five organs of knowledge have both the gross (specific) and the subtle (non-specific) as their objects. Speech has sound as its object; the other [senses/organs of action] have all five [gross elements] as their objects

The intellect, along with the other internal instruments (egotism or ahaṁkāra and recording mind or manas), comprehends all objects. These three instruments are like gatekeepers while the rest (the ten internal senses/instruments) are like gates
