Betting Addiction Predispositions of In-School Adolescents in Nigeria
The upsurge of betting and gaming sites on the internet and numerous social networking sites for social activities predisposes adolescents and young adults globally to problem betting including Nigerian secondary school students. In this study, the focus is on the propensities of school-going adolescents becoming addicted as it has become a trend that could have consequences on their mental health and productivity. The study is survey research on a sample of 385 secondary school students and teachers in Owo, Ondo state Nigeria using purposive and simple random sampling techniques. Betting Addiction Tendencies Questionnaire (BATQ)" and a structured interview was used to amass data for the study. The instrument possessed a reliability coefficient of 0.75 after being subjected to the test-retest method. Data were analyzed using percentage, thematic analysis and three-way ANOVA. The study revealed that 40% of the respondents have tendencies for betting addiction. The result further revealed that adolescents with tendencies of betting addiction were characterised with un-serious attitudes and would do anything to get the money to bet. Also, respondents do not differ in their views about betting addiction tendencies based on gender and agebut a significant difference was found based on school type. This study implies that in school, adolescents are susceptible to a betting addiction if unguided. Therefore,Mental Health Counsellors should intensify their effort in providing preventive measures through organizing programmes that could assist in reducing risk factors for betting addiction
Factors Affecting Students\u27 E-Learning Activities Using Exploratory Factor Analysis
With the advent of technology, learning becomes more accessible. With the pandemic brought about by Covid 19, the educational system in the Philippines shifted from traditional face-to-face to online learning. Not being prepared for the sudden shift, many students are being affected. In this study, significant factors affecting students’ e-learning are determined. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to determine the factors that affect University students’ e-learning. This statistical technique used to reduce data to a smaller set of summary variables and investigate the phenomenon\u27s underlying theoretical structure, and determine the form of the variable-respondent relationship. Data sets were gathered through Google Form with twenty-two (22) observable variables. A subset of the entire data is the factors affecting students\u27 e-learning activities. Based on the results, there are three underlying factors namely (F1) App Used, Course Content and Design, and Faculty/Student’s Capability Factors, (F2) E-learning, Mental Health and Home Environment Problems, (F3) Social/Media Influence and Student’s Mannerism Factors. Different goodness of fit tests was employed to validate the final model. The final model satisfies all the criteria needed for model validation. Hence, the model is accurate and fits with the variables considered in the study.

Divorce, Treaty, and Expulsion in B.W. Powe\u27s "The Unsaid Passing"
A close reading of a series of poems by contemporary poet, novelist, and political theorist B. W. Powe reveals a subtle theory of single parenthood and divorce. A three-part literary conceit by Powe is analyzed for its comparison between divorce, treaty, and biblical themes of expulsion. Inferences are drawn about the effect of legally structured relationships in Canadian families after divorce. Leaving aside discussions from law and literature, further conclusions are considered about the usefulness of close readings of Canadian poetry to ethnographic law and society research. Suggestions are made for enlarging the critical research tools available to Canadian legal consciousness research by engaging some Canadian poetry
