    Strategies for Emerging Instructional Materials and Relational Domains of Teachers in Public Elementary Schools

    This study was conducted to determine the strategies for emerging instructional materials and the relational domains of teachers in public elementary schools in the Braulio E. Dujali District, Division of Davao del Norte, Philippines. Utilizing a non-experimental quantitative research design with a correlational method, the study involved 131 teachers selected through universal sampling. Statistical tools employed included the Mean, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient (Pearson r), and Regression Analysis. Findings revealed that the level of strategies for emerging instructional materials was high (M = 3.19), as was the level of relational domains of teachers (M = 3.85). A significant relationship was found between strategies for emerging instructional materials and the relational domains of teachers (p = 0.000). Furthermore, regression analysis confirmed that domains of strategies for emerging instructional materials significantly influenced the relational domains of teachers (p = 0.000). In light of these findings, the study recommends that improvements be made in specific gray areas, particularly in developing stronger interpersonal relationships, enhancing collaborative practices, and fostering empathy and effective communication, which are crucial to teachers’ success in the workplace

    Integrative Management of Chronic Cough Associated with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: Physiological and Psychogenic Perspectives

    Aims: This study investigates the association between gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and chronic cough with psychogenic components, identifying both physiological and psychological mechanisms that contribute to symptom persistence. It also evaluates therapeutic strategies including pharmacological treatments, such as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), baclofen, and neuromodulators, alongside behavioral interventions like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Study Design: Integrative literature review. Place and Duration of Study: Databases searched (PubMed, SciELO, BVS, LILACS, Medline) between March and June 2025. Methodology: This study followed PRISMA guidelines for integrative reviews. Searches were performed using descriptors including "Cough," "Gastroesophageal Reflux," "Psychogenic," and "Therapeutics." Studies were included if published between 2014 and 2024, freely available in full text, and methodologically robust (randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, or well-defined observational studies). After applying eligibility criteria and qualitative analysis, 17 studies were selected for inclusion. Results: GERD-related chronic cough was found to involve both vagal-mediated reflexes and microaspiration, with esophageal hypersensitivity as a contributing factor. Psychogenic influences—such as anxiety, stress, and sensory hypervigilance—amplified symptom perception and limited response to acid suppression alone. PPIs showed modest effectiveness, particularly in non-acid or functional reflux cases. Adjunct therapies including baclofen, gabapentin, and CBT demonstrated improved symptom control, while Nissen fundoplication surgery was effective in selected refractory cases. Integrative treatment combining medical, surgical, and psychological approaches yielded the best outcomes. Conclusion: Chronic cough associated with GERD is a multifactorial condition requiring individualized, multidisciplinary treatment. Optimal management involves not only acid reflux control but also the inclusion of behavioral and neuromodulatory strategies. Future studies should further investigate these integrated therapeutic pathways

    Evaluating the Effect of Heteronitrogenous and Heterolipidic Diets (Commercial Feeds) on Growth Parameters of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) Fingerlings in Meghalaya

    Rainbow trout is a popular candidate species in aquaculture due to its rapid growth rate, excellent feed conversion capacity and high market value. The success of Rainbow trout farming relies heavily on maintaining optimal water quality parameters, which include water flow, temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, ammonia and nitrate levels. This study investigated the growth performance of Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fingerlings in the hilly region of Meghalaya, focusing on the impact of heteronitrogenous and heterolipidic formulated diets. The experiment was conducted between September 2024 and January 2025, under specific water conditions, including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, total alkalinity, hardness, ammonia, carbon dioxide and water flow. In this study, there was one control and three treatments with 3 replications. The growth parameters, such as growth rate, specific growth rate, weight gain, percentage weight gain and survival rate were monitored during the studies. One-way ANOVA was followed by Tukey HSD’s multiple range test to determine differences between treatment means. All the statistical analysis was performed using SPSS (Version 25.0). The weight gain, percent weight gain and SGR value were found significantly highest in control (1.71 ± 0.03 % day-1) with the lowest FCR of 0.96 ± 0.04. High FER was recorded in control (1.042 ± 0.05) and PER (2.315 ± 0.09) fed with 45% CP. The outcomes of this study offer critical insights into the effectiveness of commercial feed types for aquaculture in Meghalaya, emphasizing the need for customized feeding strategies to enhance Rainbow trout growth in cold-water ecosystems. The work emphasizes the relevance of species-specific diet formulation that considers nutritional requirements and points out that commercially obtainable feeds may prove effective as long as their protein and lipid contents were attuned to physiological and metabolic demand. Future studies must investigate the long-term effects of the diets on body constitution, digestive enzyme profiles, economic acceptability, and compatibility for incorporation of local feed components to make the operation less dependent on external commercial feeds and more sustainable at the local level

    Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Electric Vehicle Battery Management and Environmental Sustainability

    Background: The influence of greenhouse gases on global warming due to emissions from fossil-fueled vehicles has become so harsh and significant, calling for global attention due to carbon emissions. The minimisation of energy consumed when the same mileage is covered, while driving together with environmental sustainability, has called for the progressive replacement of fuel vehicles with electric vehicles (EVs). Thus, there is a need to incorporate data analysis and artificial intelligence to improve the quality of EV batteries. The advancement of EV battery quality is critical to achieving sustainable transportation goals and combating climate change. Aim: The study aimed to examine leveraging data analysis and artificial intelligence to enhance EV battery quality and support environmental sustainability. Methodology: Consultation was made with articles, books, journals, preprints, and lots more to source the required information in the area of how the quality of EV batteries can be improved via the application of data analysis and artificial intelligence. Discussion: It is imperative to develop and enhance EV battery quality, which can be achieved via artificial intelligence incorporation into battery management systems. Substantial research outputs have revealed the suitability of existing EV types, the charging techniques, costs, and vehicle emissions that can assist in the shift from fuel-based vehicles to electric vehicles. This review article has presented the fundamental knowledge of EVs’ superiority over traditional fossil-fueled vehicles. Future mobility has been transformed through charging technology improvement and the incorporation of emerging trends. The application of artificial intelligence via battery management system (BMS) to enhance EV battery quality and the methods via which this can be achieved were presented. Conclusion: Data analysis and artificial intelligence have found promising contributions to enhancing the quality of EV batteries while still maintaining a sustainable environment. However, numerous sophisticated calculation issues and elongated processing times have made the incorporation of optimization approaches into AI methods quite challenging, which calls for the attention of future researchers

    Optimizing Hybrid Eggplant Production: A Comparative Assessment of Drip Fertigation and Conventional Fertilization on Vegetative Growth, Agricultural Productivity and Water Utilization Efficiency

    This study aimed to evaluate the comparative effects of drip fertigation and conventional fertilization on vegetative growth, fruit yield, and water utilization efficiency in hybrid eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) cultivation, with a focus on identifying an economically optimal fertigation level. A field experiment was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five treatments and four replications at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, Maharashtra, India, during the Rabi season (November 2021 to May 2022). Treatments included drip fertigation at 75%, 100%, 125%, and 150% of the Recommended Dose of Fertilizers (RDF) and a control with conventional fertilization at 100% RDF. Key parameters such as plant height, number of branches, fruits per plant, total yield, and water utilization efficiency were assessed. Results indicated that all drip fertigation treatments significantly outperformed conventional fertilization. The highest yield (470.33 q/ha) and water use efficiency (8.54 q/ha-cm) were recorded in the 150% RDF drip fertigation treatment, followed closely by 125% RDF (467.98 q/ha), with both showing statistical parity. The lowest yield and efficiency were observed under conventional fertilization. Based on the findings, drip fertigation at 125% RDF is recommended as the most agronomically efficient and economically viable approach for maximizing hybrid eggplant productivity while optimizing resource use

    Relationship between the Prevalence of Dyslipidemia and Urban Versus Rural Area

    Background: Impaired lipid metabolism is considered to be a major risk factor for the incidence of cardiovascular disease and its related disorders. Aims: The present study was conducted to determine the prevalence of degraded lipid parameters all over region and in urban vs rural area. This lipid prevalence in urban and rural area was performed to discover the relationship between dyslipidemia prevalence and urban and rural area which was scientifically deliberated. Study Design:  Randomized Controlled Trial. Place and Duration of Study: Civil Hospital and two months. Methodology: The research study abides the randomized controlled trial comprising of males and females of 18-50 years of age suffering from ruined lipid profile levels. Blood samples were collected from the subjects so as to measure their lipid levels.  Data analysis was performed using SPSS statistical analysis. Results: The present research study highlighted that high prevalence of raised total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and reduced HDL cholesterol levels was observed among dyslipidemic subjects all over the region which were accounted to be 77.64%, 51.88%, 75.41% and 5.84%, correspondingly. Its prevalence was also noted scientifically in urban area vs rural area which were found to be 45.21% vs 32.43%, 26.53% vs 25.35%, 45.35% vs 30.06%, 3.23% vs 2.61%, respectively. Results discovered that non-significant association was found between degraded lipid parameters and urban & rural area. Conclusion: The study concludes by ascertaining that population has a huge metabolic burden of degraded lipid parameters. And this ruined lipid load was also observed in urban area on the grounds of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides levels. Elated HDL cholesterol levels were also noted in urban area as compared to rural.  But results highlighted that no scientific support was observed about the amplified prevalence in urban area in contrast with rural area

    Constructed Wetlands in China: A Comprehensive Opinion of Technological Innovations, Large-scale Implementation, and Future Sustainability Challenges

    Constructed wetlands (CWs), as an eco-friendly wastewater treatment technology characterized by low investment and minimal energy consumption, are increasingly integral to global water environment management. This paper offers a systematic review of their international development and deployment, with particular emphasis on China’s innovative large-scale implementations and distinctive technological syntheses. Using the case of Shandong Mata Lake, this study demonstrates the effectiveness of a three-stage “treatment, utilization, and preservation” model in significantly improving water quality from below Grade V to Grade III standards, successfully raising regional groundwater levels by up to 5.2 meters, and enhancing local biodiversity. To counter efficiency loss in cold regions and limitations in treating low carbon-to-nitrogen wastewater, major technological advances are examined—including sulfur autotrophic denitrification that achieves over 95% total nitrogen removal without supplemental carbon—as well as novel functional fillers and intelligent operational tactics such as fouling prediction with 92.6% accuracy. The analysis further identifies persistent challenges such as reduced winter performance, heightened CH₄ emissions under saline conditions—reaching 4.2 times the global warming potential of conventional systems—and a lag in standardized design and ecological service valuation. Future development should prioritize resilient plant-microbe systems, flow optimization to cut CH₄ emissions by 30% via smart control platforms, and improved carbon accounting and biodiversity certification frameworks. These innovations will advance CWs toward intelligent, resource-recovering ecosystems capable of supporting closed-loop functions spanning wastewater treatment, energy recovery, and agricultural reuse, ultimately reinforcing their critical role in global carbon neutrality and sustainable aquatic ecosystem restoration

    The Impact of Employee Relations and Workplace Harmony on Productivity: A Case Study of the Government Hospitals Pharmacists’ Association, Ghana

    This study investigated the impact of employee relations and workplace harmony on productivity, focusing on the Government Hospitals Pharmacists’ Association (GHOSPA) in Ghana. It highlighted the evolution from traditional industrial relations to a collaborative partnership model that emphasizes mutual benefits for both employers and employees. The study underscore the importance of social dialogue, noting that open communication and negotiations help align organizational goals with employee expectations, thereby fostering a harmonious work environment. A case study design was adopted by incorporating a mixed-methods approach, involving 120 pharmacists and 5 hospital heads selected from five government hospitals through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The quantitative data collected were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods, such as descriptive statistics using SPSS and Microsoft excel whereas the qualitative data were analyzed thematically. The study found that effective employee relations, characterized by open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration between management and staff, lead to increased job satisfaction, reduced turnover, and higher overall productivity within the Government Hospitals Pharmacists’ Association (GHOSPA). Additionally, the study revealed that fostering a harmonious work environment through social dialogue, trust-building, and equitable treatment of employees significantly contributes to better service delivery and operational efficiency in public hospitals. The study therefore recommended that healthcare institutions should implement policies and strategies that promote transparent communication, trust, and collaboration between management and staff to strengthen employee relations and enhance overall productivity

    Redefining Work in the Digital Era: Exploring the Role of Gig Economy and Remote Employment in E-commerce

    Aim: This concept paper aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the impact of the emerging trends of the gig economy on the future of work in the e-commerce industry. Specifically, this paper is focused on the gig economy and its possible significance for the future of work in e-commerce. Design: The paper draws on the works of gig economy, remote work and e-commerce. After reviewing the relevant aspects of gig economy, the second section considers the conceptual implications; Digital Nomadism- Pandemic Context and Labour Process Theory. The third section discussed the pros and cons of the gig economy. The conclusion will close the paper offering suggestions for further research. Findings: Firstly, the conceptual analysis offers preliminary avenues for moving towards gig economy in the e-commerce industry, enabling businesses to tap into a diverse talent pool and reduce overhead costs, while also presenting challenges in terms of communication, collaboration, and employee engagement. Secondly, the integration of sustainable practices into e-commerce operations as a crucial step in ensuring the long-term viability of the industry was demonstrated. Thirdly, it has demonstrated that labour process theory represents an important theoretical approach for the study of the gig economy; with the notions of ‘point of production’, emotional labour and control. Implications: It suggests that e-commerce needs to build a sustainable business model, given the environmental and social problems linked with its fast expansion. The results provide businesses with some guidance on how they can manage these trends and how policymakers can be encouraged to regulate fairly. This paper is part of the literature on the future of work and lays the groundwork for further studies on gig work, telecommuting and its impacts within different industries. Originality: The findings of this conceptual paper shed light on the complex and multifaceted nature of the future of work in the e-commerce industry. It will be useful for businesses seeking strategies to effectively approach the new trends in labor relations, putting emphasis on the ideas of social justice and workers’ rights. Labour Process Theory offers a unique set of tools to expand our understanding of the notions of ‘point of production’, emotional labour and control in the gig economy. Besides, using the data, it will also make policymakers aware of the appropriate regulatory measures to achieve workmanship equity in gig economy contracts

    A Review of Bonding Performance at the Interface between New and Old Concrete

    The bonding interface between existing and new concrete is critical in construction and renovation projects, as its strength directly determines the structural performance. This paper provides a critical review of factors affecting this interfacial bond, focusing on four key aspects: substrate roughness, interface agents, concrete strength, and the use of dowel bars. The analysis indicates that surface roughening significantly enhances bond strength, with an optimal critical roughness beyond which the improvement plateaus. Furthermore, epoxy-based interface agents are more effective than cement paste in improving the tensile strength of the interface. While the strength of both concretes is important, increasing the strength of the new concrete has a more pronounced effect on the overall bond performance. Finally, the incorporation of dowel bars alters the failure mode from brittle to ductile through a composite action, thereby enhancing the safety and reliability of the bonded interface
