Therefore MSMEs products cultivated at least have a comparative advantage, even highly expected to have a competitive advantage. Banks are financial institutions as required by the people who need funds for both consumer interests and to develop their business interests. Bank in developing its business in addition to seeking funds from the public are also distributed back to the community for a bank that has an important role for communities with a surplus of funds and a lack of funding. Especially MSMEs in developing their business in addition to funds is also in need of guidance in the management of MSMEs so that management can be developed. The number of MSMEs in Indonesia should be well managed in order to compete in the era of free trade today

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE A CASE STUDY ON SMALL FOOD PROCESSING FIRMS

    No full text
Small and medium enterprise (SME), including small food processing firm (SFF), based on its unit numbers and the number of involved labors, has the potentials to play an important role in the Indonesia’s economy. However, its contribution to the national economy (i.e., GDP) has been minimal as to compare with its unit numbers and number involved labor. This indicates that improvement of SME’s productivity is required. Information technology, especially internet technology, application within SMEs is regarded to have significant impact on their business performance. This study is intended to investigate factors that affect internet adoption and the impact of internet adoption on business performance within small food processing firm operators. Modified Supply Process Model, 100 SFF operators—from which primary data were collected, and path analysis were used in this study. It was found that internet adoption was significantly affected by perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, internet self efficacy, and internet anxiety. Firms’ business performance, however, was not significantly affected by internet adoption

CORRELATION BETWEEN ELECTRONIC MONEY AND THE VELOCITY OF MONEY

    No full text
Technological developments in the field of information and communication affect the emergence of new innovations in electronic payments. One of which is e-money (Electronic Money). In Indonesia, e-money has the potentials to substitute the role of money in cash for payments in retail transactions. According to Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 7/52/PBI/2005, electronic money (e-money) includes the Card Payment (APMK) such as debit cards, credit cards and ATM cards. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the rate of use of e-money (Electronic Money) and the amount of money circulating in the community and how the velocity of money occurs. Secondary data, which were used in this study, obtained from the website of Bank of Indonesia. It was found that the use of e-money as an electronic payment instruments as an alternative payment instrument has been beneficial, particularly for micro-payment and retail nature. The issue of e-money can act as a factor that changes the money demand function and reduce the average amount of cash held. This would increase circulation of money in the economy which also means increase the velocity of money

In meeting demands of tourism, local government and the people of Yogyakarta have been developing small and medium enterprises related to products of culture and customs of Yogyakarta. Craft shops (art shops) which sell wayang motif leather crafts grow and thrive in the village of Panggungharjo Sewon, wukirsari Imogiri and Bangunjiwo Kasihan Bantul regency Yogyakarta. So with these, researchers wanted to probe what factors are taken into account by consumers in purchasing wayang motif leather crafts products (chisel painting) at the craft shops (art shop) in Bantul and which factors have the most dominant relationships in the decision to purchase them. In this research there are 9 (nine) independent variables (X) and 1 (one) bound variable (Y), namely variable that affects or relates to other variables or that is investigated in terms of its impact and relationship. Based on the data from the respondents in this research, there is potential increase of income for residents or people in Bantul Regency. Among others is by extending the market scope of the products to export orientation as indicated that many foreign tourists from European and Asian countries show interests and purchase various kinds of the products when they visited the shop in Bantul

Burrows Wheeler Compression Algorithm (BWCA) in Lossless Image Compression

    No full text
The present paper discusses the implementation of BWCA in lossless image compression. BWCA uses Burrows Wheeler Transform (BWT) as its main transform. As one of combinatorial compression algorithm which in particular reordered symbols according to their following context, it becomes one of promising approach in context modeling compression. BWT was initially created for text compression, and here we study the impact of BWCA method and its improvement when applied to image compression. Since this application is quite different from the original method aim, we analyze the pre- and post-processing influences of BWT

THE EXISTENCE OF ASYMMETRIC INFORMATION IN CREDIT ANALYSIS OF THE COMMUNITY CREDIT BANK (CCB)

    No full text
Asymmetric information in credit market existence arises when the bank is not able to identify borrower based on the probability of repayment. This situation can cause credit defaults. The high of nonperforming loan in CCB credit market refers to the high of credit defaults which indicate the existence of asymmetric information in CCB credit analysis. This research empirically identifies asymmetric information in CCB credit analysis which the objective is to analyze how the indicators of credit analysis can explain the quality of borrower credit collectability. The hypothesis of the research is the indicators of credit analysis cannot explain the quality of borrower credit collectability.Survey is conducted randomly to 36 of CCB in 6 provinces in Java Island that represent incorporate CCB which member of Indonesian CCB association. Unit analyses of the research are 2.268 borrower bundle credit accounts. Frequency and cross tabulation statistics are used to do descriptive analysis, since binary logistic regression is used todo the verification analysis. Test results showed that less than 20% variation of dependent variables can be explained by 26 independent variables in logistic regression model research. It is stated that the indicators of credit analysis that is used during BPR can only explain less than 20% the quality of borrower credit collectability being good or default. More than 80% variations in the quality of borrower credit collectability can not be precisely described by the indicators of credit analysis in the model. This indicates that the BPR is not able to identify the borrower based on the probability level of credit payments. Analysisof indicators of credit used by the BPR was not able to produce signals that can identify borrowers based on the probability level of credit payments. The results of this study stated that there are asymmetric information on credit analysis of BPR
