Green Infrastructure in Urban and Suburban Settlements
Green infrastructure (GI) is a sustainable approach to urban and environmental planning that integrates natural systems with engineered solutions to address contemporary ecological and societal challenges. As rapid urbanization continues to strain natural resources, GI provides a framework for mitigating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and improving public well-being. This study explores the principles, benefits, and applications of GI, emphasizing its role in stormwater management, air quality improvement, and urban cooling. Through the integration of green roofs, permeable pavements, urban forests, and wetlands, GI offers cost- effective solutions that promote resilience and sustainability. The research highlights the economic, environmental, and social advantages of GI, including reduced infrastructure costs, enhanced property values, and improved community health. Additionally, the study discusses policy frameworks and best practices essential for successful GI implementation. Case studies from various regions demonstrate how cities have leveraged GI to address flooding, heat island effects, and biodiversity loss. Despite its numerous benefits, GI adoption faces challenges such as funding constraints, policy fragmentation, and maintenance concerns. This paper argues that overcoming these barriers requires interdisciplinary collaboration, public awareness, and strong governance. By integrating GI into urban planning, policymakers and stakeholders can create more livable, resilient, and sustainable communities. The findings underscore the necessity of prioritizing GI in future urban development strategies to balance economic growth with ecological preservation

Gramin Shiksha ki Gunwatta aur Chunautiyan
Jharkhand ke Adivasi Sanskriti Ewam Adiwasiyatata par Sankat ke Baadal
Coastal Erosion and Sea-Level Rise in India: Causes, Consequences, and Sustainable Management Approaches
India’s extensive coastline, stretching over 7,500 kilometers, is facing increasing threats from coastal erosion and rising sea levels, primarily driven by climate change and unsustainable human activities. This review aims to analyze the major causes, environmental and socio-economic consequences, and potential policy responses to these challenges. Coastal erosion results from both natural processes such as wave dynamics, storms, and tectonic shifts, as well as anthropogenic factors including sand mining, infrastructure development, and mangrove destruction. The rising sea level further intensifies shoreline retreat, saltwater intrusion, and habitat loss. These changes not only endanger coastal ecosystems but also jeopardize livelihoods, tourism, and cultural heritage. The study emphasizes the urgent need for integrated coastal zone management, technological monitoring, and community-based adaptation strategies. Sustainable development, coupled with scientific and policy interventions, is essential to mitigate the long-term impacts on India’s coastal regions
The British Rule in India: A Critical Analysis of Its Socio-Economic and Cultural Impacts
The British rule in India, extending from 1757 to 1947, represented one of the most significant and transformative episodes in colonial history. This paper critically examines the complex legacy of British colonialism—its structural innovations in administration, education, and infrastructure, as well as its exploitative economic and cultural dimensions. Using a historical-analytical approach, the article explores how British policies reshaped India’s agrarian economy, disrupted indigenous industries, and created new social hierarchies while also introducing institutions that later became foundations for democratic governance and intellectual reform. The analysis reveals that British colonialism was driven by imperial interests rather than altruistic motives, yet it inadvertently stimulated modernization, political consciousness, and the emergence of nationalist movements. The British established railways, universities, and legal codes that facilitated governance but simultaneously drained India’s wealth and entrenched dependency (Kamdar, 2018; Peabody, 2012). This dual character of the Raj—as both a system of domination and a catalyst for transformation—defines its enduring ambivalence. The study concludes that while colonial rule crippled India’s economic autonomy and social cohesion, it also sowed the seeds of its intellectual awakening and political unification. Understanding this paradox is crucial for interpreting the long-term trajectories of India’s postcolonial development

This paper examines the crucial role of problem-solving in child development, exploring its theoretical foundations, cognitive impact, emotional benefits, and the influence of family, culture, and technology on these skills
Using Digital Platforms for Home Science Education and Awareness
Home Science, an interdisciplinary field integrating science and humanities, plays a crucial role in improving individual, family, and community well-being. The digital revolution has transformed Home Science education and awareness by making learning more accessible, interactive, and flexible. Online platforms such as SWAYAM, Coursera, and Udemy offer structured courses, while YouTube, Instagram, and blogs provide visual demonstrations and expert insights. Mobile applications assist in nutrition tracking, household management, and parenting guidance, while emerging technologies like Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) enhance practical learning experiences. Additionally, government initiatives, online campaigns, webinars, podcasts, and discussion forums contribute to raising awareness about nutrition, hygiene, sustainable living, and consumer rights. Digital learning in Home Science offers benefits such as accessibility, cost-effectiveness, engagement, and personalized education. However, challenges such as the digital divide, misinformation, lack of hands-on practice, and language barriers hinder its effectiveness. Addressing these challenges through infrastructure development, credible content regulation, hybrid learning models, and multilingual educational resources can enhance the impact of digital platforms in Home Science education. This study highlights the transformative role of digital learning in promoting lifelong education and skill development in Home Science, ensuring a more informed and sustainable society
