ArchiMob Release 2 (2019)
No full textThe ArchiMob corpus represents German varieties spoken on the territory of Switzerland. It is the first electronic resource containing long samples of transcribed text in Swiss German, intended to be used for studying spatial distribution of morphosyntactic features and for natural language processing.
This second release of the corpus, initially published in 2019, contains 43 transcribed interviews (i.e., 9 more than release 1) with a total of 581 976 tokens. We also make the audio files available with release 2

3 = forest-covered surfaces: surfaces covered by trees or other plants with similar surface reflectance (e.g., mixed forests, moors)
4 = surfaces without vegetation: surfaces with (almost) no vegetation or buildings (e.g., bare rock, sand plains)
5 = water surfaces: any type of water surface (e.g., rivers, lakes)
9 = missing surface classification, most likely due to cloud cover
If a TIF file for a given year within the observation period is missing, no valid satellite imagery was available for that year (e.g., due to constant cloud cover)
Temporary agency work in Switzerland - Daily Diary Data
No full textThis dataset offers a comprehensive view of the experiences of migrant and non-migrant temporary agency workers in Switzerland, who work in blue-collar jobs. It is divided into two main parts.
The first part includes demographic and work-related information of the study participants, collected via an online survey. Participants received an invitation to the study along with a link to this survey, marking the initial phase of data collection.
The second part focuses on the experiences, attitudes, and perceptions of the participants, collected through five daily phone calls. In these calls, team members read survey questions to participants and recorded their responses. This part of the data collection focused on psychological experiences, perceptions, and attitudes. Several aspects were assessed daily. In particular, workplace incivility, mood states, and sleep quality. In addition, we included the following once-off assessments. Work-related aspects (procedural justice, job insecurity, affective job satisfaction, and turnover intention) were assessed during the first call. Aspects related to physical health were assessed in the final call

No full textTo investigate the perspectives of academics in the field of economics and business administration regarding the publication process, a survey was considered most suitable. One major reason is the difficulty of obtaining information from journals or publishers, mainly based on an unwillingness to provide corresponding data for scientific purposes. For instance, the PEERE initiative ceased to exist recently. Its goal was to improve the transparency and accessibility of data about the scientific peer-review process. Our survey was sent out to economics and business administration academics employed at a university between 11 October 2021 and 30 November 2021.
Our geographical region of interest is the German-speaking region in Europe (Germany, Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland).
After excluding all technological and pedagogical universities, our sample of universities consists of all remaining universities in Austria (6) and Switzerland (6). For Germany, all eight so-called “Exzellenz Universitäten” (excellence universities) were selected along with eight randomly chosen universities as a comparison group. This comparison was implemented to investigate the potential differences between these groups of universities. In total, our sample consists of 26 universities.
Among the universities, economics and business administration faculties were differentiated and received - with one exception - the same questions in the survey. Only one question was slightly modified due to the particularity of the Top Five journals in economics (the survey questions are shown in the documentation file). A further reason for the differentiation between economics and business studies are the varying standards and customs, also with respect to publishing
