Surface Groups Cameroon 1984-2021
Surface groups for Cameroon (years 1984 - 2021) as georeferenced TIF files.
Classified land cover (surface) of each pixel indicated as:
0 = built-up surfaces: surfaces with buildings of non-natural materials such as concrete, metal, and glass (e.g., residential buildings, industrial plants, roads)
1 = grassy surfaces: surfaces covered by grass or other plants with similar surface reflectance (e.g., natural grassland, city parks)
2 = surfaces with crop fields: surfaces with vegetation for agricultural purposes (e.g., hayfields, vineyards)
3 = forest-covered surfaces: surfaces covered by trees or other plants with similar surface reflectance (e.g., mixed forests, moors)
4 = surfaces without vegetation: surfaces with (almost) no vegetation or buildings (e.g., bare rock, sand plains)
5 = water surfaces: any type of water surface (e.g., rivers, lakes)
9 = missing surface classification, most likely due to cloud cover
If a TIF file for a given year within the observation period is missing, no valid satellite imagery was available for that year (e.g., due to constant cloud cover)

Projekt Berufseinstieg Lehrpersonen T0-T4 Panel-Befragung
BILANZ – SwissRichListDataset 1989-2020
The dataset contains the digitized and anonymized Swiss rich lists published between 1989-2020 in the Swiss business magazine BILANZ. The dataset contains some further variables on the total Swiss population and the CPI (both from the Federal Office of Statistics). In sum, the dataset contains all variables used for the paper "Using Rich Lists to Study the Super-Rich and Top Wealth Inequality: Insights from Switzerland" (accepted for publication in the Review of Economics and Statistics in February 2024)
Making Sense of Segregation in Public Space. Intercept survey and structured observations: users and uses of public squares
Quantitative data on the users and uses of three public squares in Zurich, Switzerland (Lindenplatz, Hallwylplatz, Idaplatz). There are three datasets available, two based on structured observations (screening and behavioural mapping) and one based on an intercept survey:
- Screening data (obtained by counting the people present in the square and recording some observable characteristics)
- Behavioural mapping (obtained by recording people carrying out stationary activities in the square, and some of their observable characteristics)
- Intercept survey with square users (passers-by and those staying longer) on their use of the square, their relationship to the neighbourhood, and their profil
