Phonetic features of (multi-)ethnic urban vernaculars in German-speaking Switzerland
A detailed readme-file describes all the data, documents, and publications that are available on SWISSUbase.
The data contain results (as csv-tables), descriptions of the methodology, but not audio-files for reasons of privacy.
Data are thus reusable and interoperable
Surface Groups Bahrain 1984-2021
Surface groups for Bahrain (years 1984 - 2021) as georeferenced TIF files.
Classified land cover (surface) of each pixel indicated as:
0 = built-up surfaces: surfaces with buildings of non-natural materials such as concrete, metal, and glass (e.g., residential buildings, industrial plants, roads)
1 = grassy surfaces: surfaces covered by grass or other plants with similar surface reflectance (e.g., natural grassland, city parks)
2 = surfaces with crop fields: surfaces with vegetation for agricultural purposes (e.g., hayfields, vineyards)
3 = forest-covered surfaces: surfaces covered by trees or other plants with similar surface reflectance (e.g., mixed forests, moors)
4 = surfaces without vegetation: surfaces with (almost) no vegetation or buildings (e.g., bare rock, sand plains)
5 = water surfaces: any type of water surface (e.g., rivers, lakes)
9 = missing surface classification, most likely due to cloud cover
If a TIF file for a given year within the observation period is missing, no valid satellite imagery was available for that year (e.g., due to constant cloud cover)

WELFAREPRIORITIES - Priorities, trade-offs and reform opportunities in European welfare politics - Rounds 1-3
Three quantitative public opinion surveys on social policy attitudes that include both experimental and observational parts.
Round 1: 2018/2019 in eight countries (Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Spain)
Round 2: 2020 in three countries (Germany, Sweden, Spain)
Round 3: 2021 in four countries (Germany, Sweden, Spain, United Kingdom)
Respondents stem from Bilendi's online panel. Quotas for age and gender (crossed) as well as educational attainment ensure representativity to the countries' adult population in terms of these characteristics.
Rounds 1 and 3 include conjoint experiments as well as observational measures. Two versions of the data are available for these rounds. One version does not include the conjoint variables. The unit of observation in these data is the respondent.
In the other version, the unit of observation is not a respondent, but each of the 16 reform packages (24 in round 3) that a respondent was confronted with in 8 conjoint comparisons (12 in round 3). Thus, there are 16 observations per respondent (24 in round 3). It is only advisable to use this version of the data if you want to use the conjoint experiment
