No full textÖzMuhasebe mesleğinde yaşanan mesleki hilelerin tespiti ve önlenmesinde önemli bir rol oynayan adli muhasebe, dünya üzerinde birçok ülkede bir meslek olarak kabul görmekle birlikte Türkiye’de henüz tam anlamıyla uygu-lama alanı bulamamıştır. Türkiye’de adli muhasebe mesleğine ilişkin herhangi bir yasal bir düzenleme bulunmamakta, ancak konunun akademik camiada ele alındığı, muhasebe meslek mensuplarının ve yargı mensuplarının da dâhil edildiği akademik çalışmalar yapıldığı gözlenmektedir. Bununla birlikte Türkiye’de bu konu ile ilgili yeterli sayıda çalışma yapılmadığı düşüncesi, akademisyen olarak üzerimize düşen sorumluluk çerçeve-sinde, muhasebe dersi alan öğrencilerin adli muhasebe kavramına ilgi ve farkındalık düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ile ilgili bir araştırma yapılması öngörülmüştür.Bu çalışmanın amacı, adli muhasebe kavramı hakkında bilgi vermenin yanı sıra muhasebe dersi alan öğrencilerin adli muhasebe kavramına ilgi ve farkındalık düzeylerinin belirlenmesidir. Bugünün öğrencilerinin yarının muhtemel Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavir veya Yeminli Mali Müşavir unvanlarına sahip muhasebe meslek mensupları olabileceği bu çalışmanın önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Yapılan bu çalışmanın, muhasebe dersi almış öğrencilerin adli muhasebe kavramına ilgi ve farkındalık düzeylerinin; cinsiyetlerine, yaşlarına, genel not ortalamalarına ve eğitim düzeylerine göre değişiminin istatistiksel olarak ortaya konulmasını noktasında literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, eğitim düzeyi arttıkça adli muhasebe kavramına ilgi düzeyinin de arttığı görülmektedir. Katılımcıların çoğunun adli muhasebe kavramı, adli muhasebe mesleği ve eğitimi hakkında bilgi sahibi olmamalarına rağmen, adli muhasebe mesleğini faydalı buldukları, lisans ve ön lisans düzeyinde adli muhasebe dersinin alınması gerektiğini düşündükleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Katılımcıların adli muhasebe kavramına ilgi ve farkındalık düzeyleri cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık göstermemekle birlikte, eğitim düzeyi ve genel not ortalaması açısından değerlendirildiğinde istatiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık göstermiştir.</p

No full textEffect of graphene nanoplatelets (GnPs) on low velocity impact properties of hybrid kevlar/basalt fiber reinforced epoxy based composites
No full textIn the present study, the effects of hybridization of Basalt and Kevlar fibers in conjunction with the incorporation of Graphene nanoplatelets (GnPs) on the performance under low-velocity impact were experimentally examined. Two different hybrid structural configurations, reinforced with Basalt and Kevlar composites, were fabricated utilizing a hand lay-up technique followed by vacuum bag molding, with variations that included and excluded GnPs. The synergistic effects of hybridization coupled with the modification by GnPs on the impact characteristics of the Basalt/Kevlar hybrid composites were analyzed under an impact energy of 30 J while varying the GnPs loading. The optimal enhancement observed in the peak load and absorbed energy of the specimens was recorded as a 9.4 % and 45.7 % improvement, respectively, when Kevlar fibers were positioned in the outer layers; conversely, the specimens demonstrated enhancements of 13.35 % and 20.36 % in peak load and absorbed energy with the incorporation of 1 wt% and 3 wt% GnPs when Basalt fibers were situated in the outer layers. The increase of the impact properties of the hybrid structures was ascribed to the robust interfacial interactions established among the fibers, epoxy, and GnPs nanoparticles, which facilitated a notable enhancement in performance and optimal stress transfer from the fibers and nanoparticles to the matrix
Ameliorative Effects of Nettle (Urtica dioica) Seed Extract on Methotrexate-Induced Hepatorenal Damage in Rats
No full textIn this study, it was aimed to examine the potential therapeutic effects of Urtica dioica seed (UDS) oil on hepatorenal damage induced by methotrexate in rats. Thirty-two Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups: Control, Methotrexate (MTX, 20 mg/kg i.p.), UDS (30 ml/kg feed containing UDS), and MTX+UDS (20 mg/kg i.p. + 30 ml/kg feed containing UDS oil, respectively). At the end of the six-week study, the MTX-treated group demonstrated elevated levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in serum and increased levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), an indicator of lipid peroxidation in liver, kidney, and blood tissues. However, reduced glutathione (GSH) levels (apart from erythrocytes) showed a significant decrease (p<0.005). The MTX group's liver and erythrocyte tissues showed a significant decrease in glutathione reductase (GR) activity compared to the control. Additionally, there was a significant decrease in the activities of glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and catalase (CAT) in the MTX group as compared to the control. The co-administration of MTX+UDS decreased liver MDA concentration and the levels of the enzymes AST, ALT, and LDH compared to the MTX group. On the other hand, there was an increase in kidney glutathione S-transferase (GST) activity and GSH levels. Histopathological investigation revealed that pellets containing UDS oil significantly reduced the degenerative and necrotic changes that MTX had generated in the liver and kidney, including parenchymal and hydropic degeneration and inflammatory cell infiltration. Immunohistochemical staining showed that caspase 3, a marker of apoptosis, decreased significantly with the administration of UDS oil. In conclusion, MTX-induced hepatorenal damage was either prevented or greatly decreased by UDS oil
