Independent educational and cognitive activity of future education managers in the conditions of distance learning
No full textThe article examines the peculiarities of organizing the learning and cognitive activities of higher education students in the context of distance learning, which in some regions of Ukraine during the full-scale war has become the only form of education. It is emphasized that the distance format implies mediated interaction between participants in the educational process, which requires the use of effective methods, techniques, and tools to activate students’ independent work. The study analyzes approaches to organizing independent learning and cognitive activities, particularly the performance of tasks related to writing theses, articles, annotations, essays, and reports on professional topics. It is concluded that the systematic use of such tasks contributes to the development of students’ research competencies, the formation of their academic culture, and the improvement of the quality of professional training in higher education institutions

Devising a fast median filtering procedure for aligning the noise background of a digital frame
Get PDFThe object of this study is the process of filtering astronomical frames that contain images of objects in the Solar System. In order to recognize the image of an object in contrast with the background of the frame, it is necessary to filter the image. It is proposed to use a modification of median filtering to reduce the dynamic range of the background substrate. This will lead to an increase in the signal-to-noise ratio of the entire image. However, the identified problem area of each image during filtering is the distortion of the image structure and artifacts. Therefore, to solve this problem, a fast median filtering procedure has been proposed to eliminate them. A new technique for sorting the brightness of pixels in the median filter window using a histogram has been proposed. For comparison, a classic median filter was chosen with a modification, namely, with the use of quick sorting. The disadvantage of this modification is the fact that during sorting, all the pixels that fall into the median filter window are used every time while sorting using a histogram makes it possible to add and remove from the histogram only those pixel values that appear when the window is shifted. The devised procedure of fast median filtering was tested in practice within the framework of the CoLiTec project. It was implemented at the stage of in-frame processing of the Lemur software. This study showed that the application of the fast median filtering procedure makes it possible to remove structural distortions and image artifacts, which leads to an increase in the signal/noise ratio by 3–5 times. Also, owing to sorting with the help of a histogram, the number of comparisons in the median filter window was reduced by 4–30 times, depending on the size of the window. As a result, this led to a decrease in the calculated time by 3–9 times

Використання генеративного штучного інтелекту для моделювання кредитних ризиків: правові та етичні аспекти
Get PDFУ статті досліджено можливості та виклики застосування генеративного штучного інтелекту (ГШІ) у сфері моделювання кредитних ризиків у банківській та фінансовій діяльності, також проаналізовано сучасні підходи до застосування ГШІ для оцінки кредитоспроможності позичальників, прогнозування дефолтів та автоматизації кредитного скорингу. Особлива увага приділяється правовим і етичним аспектам використання ГШІ у процесах ухвалення фінансових рішень.
Проаналізовано питання прозорості алгоритмів, захисту персональних даних, запобігання дискримінації та відповідальності за результати автоматизованого аналізу. Виявлено основні правові виклики, пов’язані з відповідальністю, прозорістю алгоритмів та захистом персональних даних, а також етичні ризики дискримінації та упередженості.
Вибір окреслених наукових підходів є обґрунтованим, оскільки дозволяє комплексно дослідити вплив генеративного ШІ на кредитний ризик-менеджмент, визначити потенційні ризики його використання та сформулювати рекомендації щодо правового регулювання і дотримання етичних принципів у цій сфері.
Наведено міжнародний досвід регулювання використання ГШІ у фінансовій сфері та запропоновано рекомендації щодо адаптації його до українського контексту з метою підвищення прозорості, підзвітності та етичності кредитного ризик-менеджменту.
Проаналізовано проєкт Регламенту ЄС про штучний інтелект (AI Act), в якому передбачено принцип пропорційної відповідальності залежно від рівня ризику застосування системи. Для фінансових установ це означає необхідність створення внутрішніх політик управління ризиками ГШІ.
В дослідженні виявлено, що питання відповідальності за збитки, спричинені використанням автономних моделей, поки не врегульовано ані українським законодавством, ані міжнародним правом. Запропоновано підходи до формування нормативно-етичної рамки використання ГШІ у сфері фінансових послуг в Україні
Fostering health literacy in the English language classroom in higher education
Get PDFThis article proposes a framework for integrating a health-oriented approach into English language classes in higher education to enhance health literacy among students. The research explores the practical ways to introduce health literacy into English language education in higher education settings, highlighting its potential to enhance both linguistic and personal development. The urgency of the article is explained by the fact that, in today’s digital and globalised world, English is not only essential for communication and career growth but also serves as a key tool for understanding and navigating different kinds of vital information, including health-related issues. Given the increasing volume of health misinformation, fostering critical thinking and informed decision-making becomes essential for forming students' worldview.
The authors argue that English language classrooms provide an ideal platform to address this need by embedding health-related content into lessons. The study presents practical examples from Ukrainian universities, where topics like artificial intelligence in healthcare, work-life balance, and the lifestyle of professional athletes were used to engage students while studying English. Activities such as podcasts, discussions, self-assessment surveys, and the Six Thinking Hats technique demonstrated how students developed both language and soft skills while reflecting on healthy behaviours and personal choices.
The research emphasises that health literacy is not just about understanding medical terms, but involves accessing, evaluating, and applying health information meaningfully. Integrating such content enhances students’ motivation, self-awareness, and critical engagement, supporting the development of a health-conscious worldview. Ultimately, the article advocates for a more holistic and interdisciplinary approach to language education that responds to the challenges of modern society
