Alcohol Policy
In accordance with the Drug Free Workplace Act and Drug Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989 (DFSCA), University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis prohibits employees from violating laws and ordinances related to alcohol and supports responsible alcohol use. Employees are prohibited from consuming or being under the influence of alcohol while working, unless working or attending a special event sanctioned by the president or their designee

UHSP Posthumous Degree Presentation Procedure
In reference to the policy stated in the Academic Catalog about posthumous degrees, the following is the procedure to follow if a student passes away before completing their degree requirements. This includes submitting a request for the posthumous degree presentation, contacting the family, preparing materials for the pre-ceremony, and planning Commencement ceremony options
Course Material Adoption Policy
University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (UHSP) adheres to a Course Material Adoption Policy to demonstrate its compliance with both the letter and the spirit of the course material provisions (Section 133) in the Higher Education Opportunities Act (HEOA) of 2008. Among other provisions of this federal law, it requires that course materials and their costs be identified to students at the time of course registration. This provision enables students to be fully aware of the full cost of attending a course while providing them with ample time to explore other avenues for obtaining their course materials. UHSP complies with this provision by providing course material information by stated deadlines to its bookstore partner eCampus, which maintains a dedicated UHSP online bookstore website. Course material information provided by the bookstore to students includes ISBNs and retail pricing for all formats available through the bookstore vendor
Jury Duty Policy
Employees called for jury duty are to notify the department/division or office supervisor. Employees who serve on juries will receive their regular pay for days spent as a juror if notice is provided in advance, up to certain limitations. Employee jury service is considered protected time off
