Drug-Free Workplace Policy
University of Health Science and Pharmacy in St. Louis complies with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989 (DFSCA) and has established the following policies regarding illicit drug use as well as establish a drug abuse prevention program. The University is committed to a program to prevent the illegal or irresponsible use of drugs by all employees (faculty, staff and student employees). The University prohibits its employees from unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of illicit drugs on any University property or while conducting University business. Any employee found to be using, possessing, manufacturing, or distributing controlled substances, or whose behavior evidences being under the influence of controlled substances, in violation of the law as well as University policy and shall be subject to disciplinary action.
Personnel in violation of this prohibition may be required, at the discretion of the University, to participate in a drug abuse counseling or rehabilitation program at the employee’s expense
