Kako dostojne so nove oblike dela v Sloveniji?
Over the last ten years we observe an increase of atypical forms of employment and other forms of work in Slovenia as a response to changed work conditions. Since we can expect the growth of new forms of work also in the future and, at the same time, these forms of work are often associated with the risk of precariousness, initiatives to preserve decent work and needs to carefully monitor developments of these forms of work in terms of maintaining workers’ rights and the social security system have been initiated in foreign and domestic literature and public. This paper aims to examine the concept of decent work, present the labor market situation in term of developments of new forms of work in Slovenia and to analyze legal dilemmas brought about by new forms of work
An Empirical Study on the Existence of Convergence for Energy per Capita
This paper focuses on energy which is a source of many serious environmental problems and examines the existence of convergence of energy per capita amongst countries in order to shed light on whether energy per capita has been growing and whether the trend is likely to change in the future. It was found that there was no evidence of convergence of energy per capita with any of the cases in the past for the world and Non-OECD countries while we found convergence of energy per capita for OECD countries. Concerning future prediction, there was no evidence of a compressed ergodic distribution of energy per capita for the world and Non-OECD countries, while a compressed distribution around the OECD average was seen for OECD countries
Exploring Relationships among Need- and Self-Related Aspects of Tourist Experience Drivers
This paper addresses some central, yet neglected, motivational issues of tourist experiences. Tourists’ motives for seeking uniqueness to create memorable experiences are addressed as significant aspects of destination decision making. Thus, the aim of this paper is to explore the self-related antecedents of consumers’ need for uniqueness in the tourism context. Results of a quantitative analysis among 192 young travelers in Slovenia using structural equation modeling show that their independent self-construal is positively related to consumers’ need for uniqueness. However, there was no relationship found to be significant between the interdependent self-construal and any dimensions of consumers’ need for uniqueness. The findings of the study provide deeper insights into underlying motives for tourism experiences and offer implications for tourism practice
Prihodnost statistike blagovne menjave z državami EU
Trade in goods statistics is indispensable for conducting economic policy and formulating business strategies. Trade in goods with EU Member States accounts for about 75 % – 80 % of all Slovenian international trade in goods. Data collection on trading of goods with EU (Intrastat) represents more than half of all burden imposed on businesses because of reporting to official statistics. Consequently, pressures exist to reduce this burden. The paper uses the case of Slovenia to analyse the impact of selected scenarios (changes to methodology and alternative data sources) on response burden, data collection costs and accuracy of statistical data. The study may also serve as an assessment of data costs and benefits
Motivirani zaposleni so zaneseni zaposleni: vpliv notranje motivacije na zanos
Flow experience is associated with positive consequences in the work environment that promote commitment to work and organizational spontaneity, thereby contributing to the achievement of organizational goals, such as creativity and organizational performance. The aim of this paper is thus to answer the question of how to increase the frequency of flow at work. Specifically, this paper examines the influence of intrinsic motivation on flow experience. The results of an online experiment (n = 126) show that intrinsic motivation has a strong positive effect on two dimensions of flow: the balance between challenges and skills and the merger of action and awareness. The results also confirm the positive influence of intrinsic motivation on flow experience
Pomen zaznane pravičnosti pri reševanju pritožb v telekomunikacijah
In the paper we examine how telecommunications customers perceive fairness during complaint resolution and what is the impact of fairness perception on customer loyalty. Using multiple-regression we analyze data from a survey of 217 telecommunication customers, who had recent experience with the complaint process. Two regression models confirm the importance of perceived fairness in handling telecommunications’ customers complaints. Individual dimensions of perceived fairness positively affect the intention to maintain the relationship and willingness to spread positive word of mouth about the provider. Specifically, informational and distributive fairness have a positive effect both on intention to maintain the relationships and positive word of mouth, while procedural fairness has a strong influence only on positive word of mouth
Do Better Performing Companies Possess More Intangible Assets: Case of Slovenia
Drawing on the intangible resource-based view of the firm, we investigate the difference between high and low performing companies regarding their profile of core intangible resources. The results obtained indicate that on average better performing companies hold higher share of intangible capital on majority of analysed intangible resources and thus may have developed more core competences and capabilities needed for superior performance. The paper contributes to the previous literature as it highlights the existence of intangible resources within the population of firms with common characteristics, which favourably distinguish superior firms from less successful one. For the managers and policy makers gaining a clear understanding of core intangible resources with potential of SCA that determine high performing firms and their tendency to invest in intangible assets can be of crucial importance as it offers some insights for policy design
A Review of the Empirical Evidence on PWYW Pricing
The purpose of the paper is to review recent studies on Pay-What-You-Want (PWYW) pricing and to identify research gaps in the recently mushrooming literature on the topic. We examine a total of 53 empirical studies published between 2009 and 2016. In contrast to previous reviews we classify the research according to the type of study, i.e. the applied research methodology. That is why we discuss separately laboratory experiments, field experiments, survey experiments and case studies. Based on this descriptive review we identify the following two gaps in the study on PWYW pricing: (1) studies on PWYW pricing for high cost goods, and (2) studies on the long-term effects of PWYW pricing
Intellectual Structure of the Open Innovation Field: State of the Art and a Critical Literature Review
This paper presents an overview of open innovation. It positions the concept into a wider framework of scholarly research of innovation, discusses its historical development and its positioning within the wider area of innovation research. Using different types of bibliometric analysis, we estimate the impact of open innovation and continue with their contributions to the theory of innovation. While not a true paradigm shift as it used to claim, open innovation is a clearly defined innovation concept that brings important contributions to the theory of innovation, helps answering some of the key questions that were recognized by innovation scholars
Theoretical Framework for the Study of Intangible Investment into Innovative Capital in Resource Limited Environment: A Case for Synchronous Innovations?
Innovation intensity in firms depends on resource availability, primarily financial and human resource constraints. The paper proposes a theoretical framework for investment into innovative capital in the case of limited resources. By relying on the fragmented literature on innovation under resource constraints, the model proposes a comprehensive theoretical framework, which answers 3 questions: (1) Which innovation types are more relevant in resource limited environment and why, (2) which resources do they need and why at which stage of the innovation process, (3) what processes companies should embrace in order to kick-off the innovation activity (where should they start from), to successfully embark eventually all types of innovation, and how synchronous innovations explain the transition from one type of innovation to another
