Bibb Graves Hall, Florence State Teachers College
Constructed in 1929, this 3-story building contained 21 classrooms, with 2 being used as the cooperative store and the post office and 2 others being used for club rooms for student organizations as well as executive offices. It also housed the college library starting in 1930 (known as the Southern Library) as well as the college museum. Susan K. Vaughn became curator of the museum after her retirement from the History Department in 1932. Martha Porterfield became curator in 1944. Formal dedication of the new building took place May 28, 1930, and was named for Governor Bibb Graves. In 1958, the Office of the President, Deans, Treasurer, Registrar, and Director of Extension were housed here in Bibb Graves Hall.https://roar.una.edu/una_arch_images/1076/thumbnail.jp
