Kilby Training School, State Normal School
The new training school was constructed for the 1922/1923 school year. It was named for then governor of Alabama, Thomas E. Kilby (1919-1923). Additions to the school soon followed, including a new auditorium, a library, and a playground. Bibb Graves Hall
A view of Bibb Garves Hall. In 1980, renovations occurred. A new central air conditioning unit was placed, double windows and fire doors, and the entire electrical system was revamped. The plumbing was also worked on to ensure both hot and cold water throughout the building. Duncan Construction Company was the contractors for the renovations.
