No full textدئب النظام الملكي البريطاني على الانسجام والتناغم عقب تشكيل كل حكومة، وتكفل بالاشراف ومراقبة أدائها، وتُعد حكومات حزب العمال البريطاني (١٩٤٥-١٩٥١) من أهم الحكومات وأكثرها إثارة للجدل في التاريخ البريطاني الحديث التي أصبحت علاقتها مع الملك البريطاني في حالة مغايرة لما سبقها من الحكومات، إذ تحلل هذه الدراسة طبيعة هذا التغاير بين الملك جورج السادس وحكومة اتلي واثره عليها بما عكس طبيعة فكر الملك السياسي وأثره في تعامله مع الليبراليين والمحافظين والاشتراكيين، ولاسيما في ظل تداخل الازمات الاقتصادية في الداخل البريطاني وانعكاسها على السياسة الخارجية البريطانية وهو ما يظهر أهمية هذه الدراس

كانت الاندلس حاضرة العالم الاسلامي في القرن الرابع والخامس الهجري إذ شهدت حركةً علمية على جميع الاصعدة التي جعلتها قبلة العلم والعلماء من المشرق والمغرب ، فبرع فيها العديد من الفقهاء والقضاة والوزراء والشعراء تمكنت المرأة في الاندلس بصورة عامة وقرطبة خاصةً أن تضع قدم لها في المجتمع وترسم مثال للنسوة في العالم ليس فقط كما هو متعارف آنذاك كزوجة أو أميرة أو جارية بل تعدتها الى عالمة وشاعرة وكاتبة ومحدثة الخ من العلوم التي برعت فيها المرأة الاندلسية ، فتميزت عائشة بنت أحمد بأنها جمعت كل ذلك في شخصيتها فهي من أسرةٍ عريقة معروفة في العلم والادب ، فضلاً عن أنها شاعرة متميزة تقارع بشعرها الشعراء الرجال ، وكذلك كاتبة تدون القرآن الكريم وتخط المصاحف بيدها كل ذلك جعل منها شخصيةً مرموقة في مجتمعها نالت استحسان الملوك وأولادهم بشعرها ومدحها لهم

No full textيُضفي الاتِّساق الصّوتِيّ على النّصوصِ الشعريَّةِ جمالية واضحة عِبَر مظاهر صوتيَّة يتحققُ بها. فكلُّ مُتلقٍ حينما يلحظُ النّصوص الشعرية ذات الجرس الموسيقيّ والإيقاعي المُنتظم، يستمتعُ بالنَّصِّ ويواصل قراءِته متتبعًا للموسيقى الموجودة داخل هذا النّصّ.

Graphic Memory Matrix as a Pedagogical Tool for Enhancing Iraqi EFL Learners’ Reading Comprehension
No full textThis study investigates the effectiveness of graphic memory matrix as a pedagogical tool for enhancing Iraqi EFL learners’ reading comprehension. Using experimental design, the researcher selected 80 intermediate school students and divided them into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received instruction based on graphic memory matrix, which guided learners to organize text information visually in matrices and graphs, while control group was taught using conventional text methods. Both groups completed a pre-test and post- test to measure the reading comprehension gains. Statistical analysis revealed that the experimental group demonstrated significantly a higher improvement in reading comprehension compared to control group, indicating the effectiveness of graphic memory matrix in enhancing students’ ability to understand written texts, organize and retain information. Moreover, the result showed that students in experimental group demonstrated more positive attitudes and great engagement in reading tasks, reflecting the benefits of integration of cognitive - based strategies that visually structure and organize information to facilitate deeper understanding. These results align with research on graphic organizer as effective tools in EFL reading instruction, which highlight that visual matrix facilitates the cognitive processing and comprehension development in reading comprehension context

No full textThis research will interpret the poetry of Elizabeth Bishop as resisting linear time in its structures, scenes, and affects for "In the Waiting Room" and "Sestina" to illustrate the truth of Jack Halberstam’s formulation of "queer time". According to Halberstam, “queer time” refers to an alternative to linear modes of temporal existence that structure subjectivity and world-building. It resists narratives of progress that move from childhood to adulthood and toward other developmental or normative endpoints. Through this analysis, I will argue for the existence of "queer time" within Bishop’s poetics as one of halted childhood perception and recursive time, where "In the Waiting Room" mediates temporal dislocation as an aftereffect of a moment of shock experienced by a child subject and "Sestina" codifies temporal dislocation as an effect of "queer time" typified by Jack Halberstam’s notion of "alternative chronologies"
A Linguistic and Semiotic Study of Emoji Colours in Digital Communication
No full text In digital communication, symbols are essential style to support the text message with contextual, emotional and subtle distinctions. Various colours play an essential role in conveying the connotative meaning of the text or message in an interaction. The present study explores the significance of emoji colours in media platform interactions by investigating how people perceive and use various colours to transmit certain messages, feelings and individual identity through finding out whether colours affect people\u27s interpretation through different linguistic and social contexts. In order to show the extent of colour perception in various contexts, a questionnaire distributed to Fifteen students has been conducted and their responses collected and analyzed. Gunther Krees and Theo Van Leeuwen. (2002) has been used as the main model for the semiotic analysis. The findings of the study have revealed that emoji colours are not related to stylistic variations. Rather, they are viewed in terms of semantic attributes that may lead to impacts on internet setting
