To analyze the teaching and learning processes in the cultivation of copoazú in the Caranguchal village
The copoazú production chain is a fundamental area of study, especially in relation to the teaching and learning processes involved in its cultivation. The copoazú, belonging to the Theobroma genus, is native to neotropical regions and stands out in Brazil and Colombia for its diversity. This study focuses on the Caranguchal village, Florencia, Caquetá, and examines how knowledge transfer impacts copoazú productivity and quality. In this context, several educational strategies have been implemented, including lectures and practical activities in the field, with the objective of engaging farmers in continuous and participatory learning. The main problem investigated is the effectiveness of these educational processes. The results obtained are evaluated and an analysis is made of how the teaching strategies affect the copoazú production chain. The research was carried out in the Santa Marta village in Florencia, where farmers are engaged not only in copoazú, but also in other crops and livestock activities. The methodology used included surveys and qualitative interviews to collect data on farmers\u27 perceptions and experiences. The results reveal that the active participation of farmers in the educational process is crucial to improve agricultural practices and crop sustainability. However, challenges such as limited access to updated information and difficulties in marketing due to infrastructure problems are also identified. The research highlights the importance of short marketing circuits and the implementation of agroecological practices to preserve biodiversity and improve economic and environmental sustainability. In conclusion, the study underscores the need to promote educational methods adapted to local needs and encourage community participation to achieve greater effectiveness in the copoazú production chain. This will contribute to improve the quality of life of farmers and ensure the long-term sustainability of this important agricultural activity
Exclusive breastfeeding. Factors that influence its abandonment
oai:multidisciplinar.ageditor.uy:article/1A descriptive study was carried out with the objective of identifying some factors associated with the abandonment of breastfeeding in a clinic in the health area of Puerto Padre, Cuba during the year 2022. The working universe was constituted by 170 infants under six months of age, the sample was constituted by 141 infants. For the elaboration of the project, the mothers or guardians of the infants were surveyed, and the clinical history was verified by childcare consultations using the variables time of exclusive breastfeeding, factors associated with the mother for the abandonment of breastfeeding, factors associated with the child for the abandonment of breastfeeding. Most of the children abandoned breastfeeding between three and four months of age. In relation to the factors associated with the mother for the abandonment of breastfeeding, it was found that the knowledge of the mothers related to breastfeeding is inadequate, most of them have an adequate level of schooling, the number of serious maternal diseases is not significant, predominantly mastitis and the age group of adolescents. In relation to the factors associated with the child, it was found that term birth predominated and most of the children were exclusively breastfed, and the number of children with oropharyngeal malformations was not significan
Identification of learning styles in agricultural producers of the productive sectors in the department of Caquetá
The agricultural sector in the department of Caquetá is crucial for the regional economy and food security. Understanding the learning styles of agricultural producers is fundamental for designing effective pedagogical strategies. According to Honey and Mumford (1968), learning styles refer to individual preferences in the acquisition and processing of information. Identifying them makes it possible to adapt teaching methods to maximize their effectiveness. Previous research, such as that of Smith (2012), highlights that knowing the learning styles of producers can avoid barriers in the educational process, improving the acquisition of technical knowledge. Brown (2015) suggests that educational strategies appropriate to these styles can foster the transfer of knowledge to daily practices, improving livestock productivity and sustainability. This study explores learning styles in the agricultural sector of Caquetá, with the objective of designing training strategies adapted to the needs of producers. The findings could strengthen agricultural production and foster more sustainable development. Recent data indicate that crop and livestock production occupies vast tracts of land in countries around the world. In Caquetá, the production of sugarcane, cacao, bananas, and cattle is significant. However, these sectors face challenges such as access to financing, climate change, obsolete production techniques, and competition in international markets. The study was conducted in the municipalities of Albania, San José del Fragua, Belén de los Andaquíes, Doncello and San Vicente del Caguán. The methodology includes surveys and interviews to identify learning styles of approximately 600 producers. The research seeks to provide specific recommendations to improve pedagogical practices in the agricultural sector of Caquetá, considering the diversity of learning styles. Understanding and adapting to these styles not only promotes the effectiveness of educational programs, but also strengthens the resilience and sustainability of agricultural practices in the region, contributing to sustainable agricultural development
Recognition of the initial status of the Finca la Esperanza experience in the Department of Caquetá
This article focuses on the systematization of experiences, its main purpose was to recognize the initial state and history and the understanding and interpretation of the lived process of the conceived experience. The systematization is an important technique through which it was possible to produce and transfer new knowledge, carry out analysis and reflections on the particularities of a practice, as well as carry out a record on the different processes, which was very necessary to have progress in the future experiences. The research carried out is descriptive, with a qualitative approach and the data is produced from field stays in the Department of Caquetá, using participant observation and interviews. In this way, the use of the Atlas. ti software was also implemented, which facilitated the time of collecting, transcribing and coding the data. By systematizing we link social processes to options and actions to maintain the transformation, which we can frame theoretical practices and a dialectical relationship between farmer and student. The systematization of experiences is concluded as a tool to understand the operation of the productive units, which includes a sustainability evaluation methodology, allows to know the weaknesses of each one of the experiences, in social, ecological, economic terms and facilitates the rethinking. of indicators to be evaluated in order to have concrete result
Analysis of management practices and production sustainability
Livestock activity in the department of Caquetá plays a crucial role in the economic development of the region and constitutes the main livelihood of rural households. Most of these Caquetá families are dedicated to raising cattle, focusing on the production of meat and raw milk to satisfy the demand of the processing industry and the regional, national and international market. However, the livestock models implemented for years in this region have tended to fail due to their extractivist nature, which transforms the landscape and displaces biodiversity, thus contributing to climate change variations. Although livestock reconversion projects have been developed, they have not been sufficiently effective due to the lack of information on the conditions of the productive units and the recognition of the actors and their identification with these processes. In view of these crucial information needs to improve livestock reconversion processes, our objective in this paper is to carry out an analysis of livestock production management and sustainability practices.
Analysis of antibody titers according to anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination schedules, assessed through protein S, discriminated according to history of Covid-19 disease, comorbidities, age and sex in San Lorenzo city
The present study analyzes the humoral immune response in 319 inhabitants of San Lorenzo, Argentina, vaccinated with two doses of different anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. The results show that almost all participants developed Anti-S antibodies, with the Sinopharm vaccine being less effective compared to AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and Moderna. The population was divided according to variables such as sex, age, history of Covid-19 and comorbidities, and it was evident that both people with a history of the disease and those with comorbidities had elevated antibody levels. No significant differences in immunogenicity were found with respect to sex or age, confirming a high response in older adults. The main limitation was a fixed cut-off point of 250 U/ml, which prevented detailed comparisons between schemes. This study suggests the effectiveness of all vaccination schedules studied and underlines the need for future research on the durability of the immune response
