Art is a unique form of communication that conveys the meaning of the message content through sensory experience rather than words. One of the currently most popular and widely used art forms in the youth environment is the music video (MV), which can overcome foreign language and socializations barriers and is consumed by about half of young people on a daily basis. This is the fourth study investigating the four-step internal communication processes in the perception of digital youth art. This time the aim is to explore the limits of understanding artistic messages through the music videos of Swedish artist Jonas Åkerlund. Therefore, an experiment was conducted with art students from two universities, considering that art perception can be studied with the help of communication research methods, using Mikhail Bakhtin\u27s and Pierre Bourdieu\u27s approach to the analysis of art perception.

Introduction – Balance disorders are responsible for more than half of all stroke consequences. That is why it is still very important to investigate the best intervention strategy for this kind of disorder according to the most recent evidence. Although proprioceptive training is considered a valid type of training in post-stroke individuals, its contribution to improving balance remains to be clarified. Aim – To verify the effectiveness of proprioceptive training to improve balance in post-stroke individuals. Methods – A systematic review was carried out, based on the methodology defined in PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis). The databases used were PubMed, PEDro, and ScienceDirect. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed using the PEDro Scale. Inclusion criteria: randomized controlled studies (RCT) in individuals 18 years of age or older, diagnosed with stroke with balance impairments, whose intervention includes proprioceptive training and assessment containing objective measures of balance. Exclusion criteria: studies in individuals with other neurological morbidities, musculoskeletal pathology in the lower limbs, or other types of pathologies likely to influence the proprioceptive system. Results – The database search identified 855 studies, 14 of which were included in this review, according to eligibility criteria. These involved 677 individuals diagnosed with stroke, chronic (seven studies) and acute/subacute (seven studies). The types of proprioceptive training used in the intervention groups (IG) consisted of: balance; somatosensory stimulation with vibration or functional electrical stimulation; and joint repositioning, combined with conventional physiotherapy, also applied in the control groups (CG). The objective balance assessment used consisted of Berg (BBS) and/or Tinneti (TBS) balance scales and the Mini-Balance Evaluation Systems Test (Mini-Best). There were statistically significant differences (p<0.05) between IG and CG in 10 out of 14 studies. Conclusion – According to this review, despite the differences between the interventions (like the type and duration of exercises) and the scales used to measure the results, there is a tendency, for most of the included studies, to show improvements in the results of balance and proprioceptive training measures. Métodos – Foi efetuada uma revisão sistemática seguindo as recomendações PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis).

This article reflects on a practice initiated by Inês Zinho Pinheiro and Massimo Milella following their 2023 performance Delayed Movements for an Obstinate Joy, created with an informal group of performer-researchers in sound, dance, and visual dramaturgy. The practice is guided by a developing methodology introduced by Inês, called dancepting, which merges choreography, dance, and theoretical inquiry. The article unfolds three key questions drawn from their performance: ‘How can we imagine a choice?’ explores the potential of movement yet to occur, highlighting the tension between the visible and invisible; ‘How do we concretize something intangible?’ addresses the challenge of making abstract ideas visible and tangible, while preserving their intangibility; ‘How do we go through it together?’ considers the balance between autonomy and collectivity in their performance. The article concludes with a dancepting conversation blending narratives and readings, and marked by a slight ingenuity essential to pursuing an obstinate joy.

This article analyzes Volkswagen\u27s 70th anniversary campaign in Brazil, launched in July 2023. The campaign became famous for featuring singer Maria Rita acting alongside the digital reproduction of her late mother, Elis Regina, using deepfake techniques. To analyze the campaign, we do an archeology of the objectives for using branded content in advertising campaigns by authors related to the topic. We use Moura\u27s branded content pillars (2021) as our main theoretical-methodological contribution, which proves that the content was, in fact, built with the aim of engaging the audience. We complement the analysis of the campaign\u27s creative process with testimonials from its creators. We conclude that the campaign is a success for engaging the audience on social networks, promoting emotional reactions and debates on the topic of deepfake. Internet and citizen participation: an analysis of the impact of connectivity on civic engagement during the pre-election and post-election period in Angola

The digital revolution plays a pivotal role in the public sphere of contemporary societies. Social media have established themselves as a contested public space where various actors disseminate their messages. For instance, political parties utilise these platforms to propagate their ideologies and political agendas, aiming to influence citizens’ perceptions. Similarly, civil society organisations and other citizen groups primarily employ these platforms as channels for expressing protests and dissatisfaction with political governance. To investigate how internet access affects citizens’ engagement in the political sphere and to identify media instances where digital connectivity fosters civic participation in Angola, platforms such as Facebook and Instagram were analysed. These social networks were chosen due to their significance as spaces for political discussion in the country. Angola exemplifies the rising prominence of digital activism, with the utilisation of these platforms highlighting the expanding role of the internet in civic mobilisation and public debate. This research adopts both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Three Facebook pages and two Instagram pages, all "publicly accessible", were selected, and data pertaining to 2022 and 2023 were extracted. This period was marked by active social media usage by political actors and supporters of political parties to mobilise, communicate political ideologies, and address issues concerning politics and social challenges. The analysis of these pages employed the CrowdTangle tool, a data collection and extraction platform that facilitates the export of data from various sections of Facebook and Instagram (Rieder, 2013).The most frequently published content on the analysed Facebook and Instagram pages during the specified period centred on themes such as "calls for votes, election results, public petitions, public complaints, challenges to election results, police repression, arrests during protests, protests, transparent communication, electoral transparency, and the monitoring of the electoral process". These posts garnered substantial engagement from Angolan users on the platforms. The digital revolution plays a pivotal role in the public sphere of contemporary societies. An immersion experience involving observation and interviews denounces the tragic reality of all the victims of organized crime and gives them voice, visibility, and dignity. True (un)successful stories of millions of ordinary (in)visible people seeking a safer, better life in a place imagined as Heaven. This article is grounded in theoretical frameworks and methodological approaches for literary journalism studies. Drawing on concepts from narrative journalism and social justice theory, the analysis delves into Moura\u27s storytelling techniques, thematic explorations, and the ethical considerations inherent in his portrayal of marginalized individuals. Through this dual theoretical and methodological lens, the paper offers insights into the ways in which Moura\u27s work transcends traditional journalism to become a powerful tool for social critique and advocacy. Marketing e-Word-of-Mouth versus Digital Influencers Marketing in the buying decision of the Millennials

Winning over millennials has become a difficult task, and having an online presence is not enough to convert them. This article seeks to understand the influence of word-of-mouth marketing and digital influencer marketing on millennials’ intention to purchase tourism services. For this objective, an online questionnaire was made available to obtain a convenience sample of 136 millennials. The results obtained confirmed three of the five research hypotheses: that the millennial consumer likes to share opinions and content via e-word-of-mouth and that their tourism purchasing decision could be influenced by marketing e-word-of-mouth strategies through strangers and acquaintances. It has not been confirmed that digital influencers influence millennials or that digital influencer marketing influences their tourism purchasing process

Feminine and feminist aging on digital social networks

Technological advances in recent decades have boosted new communication practices, especially on digital social networks, where discourses on the most diverse topics are produced and shared. Instagram, in particular, stands out as an important communication tool, which reflects and influences social, political and economic changes in everyday life, and can be validated as the contemporary agora. Within this consolidated media ecosystem, debates emerge about representations and collective agencies that directly impact women, demonstrating how feminist and feminine agendas have expanded their voices and spaces of occupation. The relevance of this study lies both in the historical lack of feminist perspectives on age attitudes faced in female aging, and in the understanding that digital social networks function as an ethos conducive to identity activism and the exercise of citizenship

Réquiem por la muerte de Miguel Hernández, by José Antonio Cáceres: a work of kinetic poetry at the end of Francoism

It is the first of the group of seven kinetic works he produced at the end of the decade 1966-1976, in which he developed the bulk of his experimental poetry. Thematically, it deals with the socio-political situation in Spain at the end of Franco’s regime, and experimentally, with the universal avant-garde of visual poetry. It is also the first work in which he dispensed with any calligraphic element relating to conventional written language, representing a breakthrough with no return in his experimental evolution
