Implementation and analysis of support for female junior and senior high school students at The University of Electro-Communications in their choice of career paths in science and engineering fields
Full text link理工系分野におけるジェンダーギャップの解消を目的として実施している電気通信大学の女子中高生理工系分野進路選択支援プロジェクト「匠ガールプロジェクト」は、2017年から継続して実施してきたことにより、延べ683名の女子中高生に参加いただいた。本稿では2023年度の実施概要及び課題について報告する。また、匠ガールプロジェクト参加者における本学志願数が増加傾向にあることが示され、匠ガールプロジェクトが女子学生比率の向上に対して有効であることが示された。The University of Electro-Communications’ “Takumi-Girl Project”, a project to support female junior and senior high school students in choosing a career path in science and engineering, which aims to increase the ratio of women in science and engineering fields, has also been implemented continuously since 2017, with a total of 683 female junior and senior high school students participating in the project. This report provides an overview of the project’s implementation and issues in fiscal 2023. The results suggest that the number of Takumi-Girl Project participants may be associated with the number of applicants to the university. The Takumi-Girl Project may be one of the factors contributing to the increase in the ratio of female students.departmental bulletin pape
